Models also known as Trim Levels, are used to identify a vehicle's level of equipment or special features.
In my opinion, this car drives very well, it feels safe and sturdy when I am driving it. The seats are very comfortable to sit in and the trunk provides lots of room for transporting various things, plus the back seats fold down, providing even more room for transporting large items.
The Subaru outback is spacious in the front seats, rear seats and the trunk space. The vehicle also feels very safe to drive. The sound system is good for its age. The heated seats are very nice. The seats are comfortable.
It does a fantastic job in snow. There is a good amount of cargo space for a relatively small car. The gas mileage is surprisingly good too. There are a lot of other nice features like heated seats, a sunroof, and a good stereo.
It drives amazing in the snow and keeps us safe in bad weather conditions. It is good on gas mileage and rarely needs maintenance or repairs. It is durable and has lasted a long time without the wear and tear of use. It always fits everything we need to bring when we go camping or out on road trips. The back seat is spacious for other riders and the trunk provides plenty of space for anything. The car is perfect for back road adventures and carrying things on the roof like canoes, bikes, skis, etc. There are so many great features, like the seat warmers, auto dimming rear view, sport mode, and there's also plenty of room for customization.
It has a very smooth drive, easy to navigate, all wheel drive, towing abilities, comfortable to ride in, heated seats, no road noise, always reliable, and fun to drive. I have taken it on many trips, and have never had any mechanical issues with it.
The pros are, it is a great vehicle to drive in bad weather with the all wheel drive. It is comfortable to sit in. Has heated seats and a nice wagon back for Storing your belongings. Can take this car anywhere and also has higher clearing then most cars so you sit higher off the ground for off roading or not getting stuck in snow.
It is a turbo with all wheel drive. Plus it is dependable being a Subaru... For the most part. But its turbo comes with a price. I like the wheel size. Love that it is a premium edition with long moonroof. Plus it hauls stuff. Did I mention it is fast?
It is large and reasonably sturdy compared to most other vehicles. Indeed, it was perfect for hauling home a full Christmas tree on top, or pulling a large storage tank on wheels. Thankfully, that was more than enough to transport all of my furniture and belongings when I moved into a separate apartment, and we were able to get every item transferred in a single trip, instead of multiple trips like we needed for other vehicles in the past!
It does not get as efficient gas mileage as some of the other vehicles that are currently on the market. There is not as much room in the back seat as would be ideal, and when an infant car seat is installed in the back it becomes difficult to recline the front seat very far.
The vehicle has had many mechanical issues since I bought it used last year. There have been several recalls for it. The engine is not very powerful. The windows do not have frames. The vehicle also is difficult to keep clean.
There are known problems with the head gaskets that are very expensive to fix. Additional issues include a rear wiring harness that has failed, preventing my window wiper from working - surprisingly expensive to fix. The radiator and power steering also seem prone to minor leaks. The biggest general issue is that it burns oil do oil changes have to be very prompt.
Gas mileage could be better. Sometimes there are not enough seats (there are only 5), but it is expected with a car this size. Because the antenna is not external, it is routed through the roof above the driver A-frame pillar, sometimes the radio reception is poor depending on where you drive.
I do not like the low profile tires, as they are expensive to replace. It does not have the towing capacity that other all wheel vehicles have, it sits too close to the ground, The tire light is constantly coming on, Not as much inside room in the back, as I would like.
The cons for the vehicle are, the timing belt has to be changed and if it does break it will damage your engine. With the 2.5I it also didn't have the power to get up and go. If it was a V6 it would be perfect. The gas tank is pretty small on it and I find myself filling it a lot, a bigger tank would be nicer also.
The turbo was basically broken when I bought it new and that had to be completely fixed. I bought the car used and got the warranty. Lucky for me, the warranty actually covered the work. However the big problem was that both a left and right side of the parts in the turbo went bad right after one another.
Just about the only con I can think of is it is fuel efficiency and cleanliness. No, it is not electric powered. And I need to refill the gas tank a bit more often than desired. No, thankfully it is not the worst gas guzzler out there, which is in large part the reason we opted for the Subaru brand instead of other brands of station wagons. But a little more efficiency at miles per gallon would be a huge improvement!
