Safety top notch very safe car to drive.
This is a great car in all types of weather. Great in the snow. We have driven all over the country and enjoyed the car. Big factor is all the safety items. Such as eye view camera system. Automatic braking system and lane departure warning system. Also has adaptive cruise control very helpful on long trips.

Reliability, comfort, stylish.
The 2017 Subaru outback is an amazing car. Subarus are some of the safest cars and they do great in all weather! I like the outback because it is spacious and has more ground clearance than some other cars and models. The outback has great features as well, like Bluetooth, push to start, heated front and back seats, and a moonroof. It is a highly reliable car and I have had no issues with it.

Subaru outback review- family friendly, durable and reliable.
I love the safety features included in this family friendly car. The steer assist and lane alert and been extremely comforting on long family road trips. One feature I wish Subaru would consider is putting a timer on their overhead lights. Many times, my car will not start because my children we, unbeknownst to me, were playing with the lights and the battery died. This would be a great feature to consider.

I love my Subaru. It is the best car I have owned yet.
I feel very safe in my Subaru. It has all the important features without feeling overwhelmed by too many controls. It is very roomy for road trips and long drives. I plan to drive this car until it does not run anymore which I think will be a very long time.

How'd I get tricked into writing a review.
Windshield is too expensive to replace but breaks constantly. Its AWD, so all tires have to be replaced when one goes flat. The safety features make it worth it, though. It'll beep at you if so much as the wind blows and slows you down when you're too close to other cars.

I love my all wheel drive Subaru outback.
I love the handling of my outback. It is great in the rain and snow and I feel confident driving it. I would recommend upgrading to get the remote start and automatic lift gate to make life easier. I also think that blind sight would be helpful to have.

I like the green color. But otherwise it is an ok car.
It could use a bit more interior space. The gas mileage is fair - about 25 mpg. The plastic bumper construction seems cheap and not sturdy - cracked and fell off position without much of a hit. . And it is very expensive to replace. I wish it had more safety features.

Great vehicle for a family of people or pups.
Windows do not automatically roll up if you hold the lever down too long. Then you have to take it to get reprogrammed. A/c is weak when vehicle idle too long. Everything else is great. Good gas mileage, cruise control is amazing, lots of space for five large and giant breed dogs.
accountCircle Elizabeth B on May 17, 2021
AWD is the redeeming feature and the only reason I still own it.
The car is very reliable and I have not had any issues with it. Some positives is that it is handy for large projects and being able to transfer large items fairly easily and the interior is comfortable. I like the fact that there is a rear view camera as well. The car does have all wheel drive and operates pretty well in bad weather although cleaning the snow off the car is harder than normal due to the roof rack. I did not pick this car and unfortunately inherited it so in my opinion it is a little too big for my liking. The features inside the car are pretty basic. While Bluetooth is available, it never worked properly and the console to set up any apps or programs is not very user friendly.

Love my 2017 subaru outback.
I love the leather seats, the spacious interior. I love the safety features the auto cruise control. I like the auto high beam lights feature also. What the company stands for and helping the world. Look forward to see what kind of new technology subaru comes up with.

Durable comfortable and roomy.
Other than routine maintenance we have never had to take this car in to get anything fixed and it has 73,000 miles. It is very comfortable and there is a lot of space. There is a lot of legroom in the back for our son and a lot of storage space in the back end for when we go camping and travel. We also use the roof racks which gives us even more storage. This was our first Subaru but we have already bought our second Subaru to replace my husband's old car.

A fun, quality, and very versatile car.
The reliability of the car has been great. I have not had any major issues with it. The car is very comfortable to sit in and to drive in. The car's features took me a little time to learn but I got use to it. I have the four cylinder engine which makes the car on the slow side when it comes to acceleration compared to other cars.

Subaru outback is safe and easy to drive.
I like the Subaru outback because it is extremely safe, has advanced features for driving, and gets good gas mileage, along with having all wheel drive. The eyesight feature allows for variable cruise control which makes it super easy to drive on crowded highways. The vehicle speeds up and brakes and the driver does not have to do anything except steer!

Outback a battery killer!
My Outback is very satisfactory - when it works! However - it keeps killing batteries when it just sits for a few days. And in this time of self quarantine, it dies in just a few days. We lock it, keep keys far away and it still conks out. It’s my third Outback and my LAST! I don’t know if it’ too late to invoke the lemon law - but I will inquire!
accountCircle dorothy miller on April 24, 2021
Subaru electrical system flawed
Keyless ignition system doesn't work-car consistently drains battery if left sitting for more than three days. Sun roof window is useless, but Subaru insists on forcing this on buyers

Subaru outback car features.
The car is very nice, it has a joy stick for adjusting mirrors, electronic keys that you do not have to take out of your pocket, and an adjustable seat both vertically and horizontally along with a steering wheel also adjustable both vertically and horizontally. I have had the car for two years without any problems other than tire pressure.

Great value, especially in harsh weather or off-road.
Steering and control is great. All-wheel drive is excellent, especially in snowy/icy conditions. Road noise is loud, but you get used to it. Eyesight feature is great. It makes cruise control a breeze. Be aware, if you replace 1 tire you must replace all 4 tires. Sound system is nice, though the radio system feels outdated.

Outback touring features and technology.
Excellent technology surrounds the vehicle keeping you from accidents with other vehicles and people. Ideal for family members who enjoy traveling across the country with lots of room for 4 plus luggage for all of them. We plan on driving the outback touring for several hundred thousand miles.

2017 Subaru Outback premium.
I recently bought a new Subaru Outback. I love having the 4 wheel drive option as I am an avid outdoors person. I also have 2 dogs who love the vehicle and the extra space that they can lay down in the back. I haven't had the car for too long so I cannot speak to reliability; but it does come with a great warranty and option to purchase additional warranty. The Subaru’s aren't known as best in class for features; however I do feel like they offer the things that mattered most to me. I bought a more baseline model but it still came with my favorite features: connectivity for Bluetooth/android auto/apple carplay and heated seats. The car is very comfortable to ride in and has little road noise, great suspension even on tougher trails, and great amounts of space. My husband and I even took it camping and due to rain ended up sleeping fairly comfortably in the back.

The Subaru outback is worth the investment!
I love my Subaru outback. While I was shopping for a vehicle I heard so many great things about Subaru vehicles and I have not been disappointed. The outback is a very comfortable ride. The seats are great quality and I find the armrest to be very soft/comfortable. I have had the car for two years and have not had any major issues with it - nothing breaking down, no weird noises. In the winter months, I do sometimes have a problem with the gas tank cover not opening because it freezes shut. The vehicle is very roomy and riding in the back seats is comfortable. I love the cargo space in the back and the seats fold down at the touch of a button... So easy!
accountCircle Lynn J on March 29, 2021
Best car and very spacious.
This is a perfect car for long car ride. Very comfortable seats. It rides very smooth, not too bumpy which is perfect when you have kids. My husband is 6' 5' and this car gave him enough leg room as many other cars did not. I love all the space in the back. The seats go down so fitting large items is manageable.

Subaru Outback - all around great vehicle.
I love it. I also wish it had blind spot mirrors, and I also wish the time display was higher on the dash. I do not like having to look downward to see the time. It handles great in the snow, especially deep snow that may accumulate due to drifting on the roadways.

The Subaru outback is a reliable, safe, and comfortable vehicle!
My Subaru outback is an extremely reliable car and has great ease of use. It has been driven cross country and there were no issues. I have had no problems since I got the car. It is comfortable and has nice features to save two different seat settings on both the front seats. This feature makes it very easy to switch drivers and not have to spend time adjusting the seat. The car has a very nice screen with map and audio features. The Bluetooth connection allows for music to be played directly from my phone without having to plug it in to the car. It also allows phone calls to go through the car, which can be accepted or declined using buttons on the steering wheel. The overall safety features of the car are wonderful and lead to a great feeling of safety on the road. With Bluetooth controls for phone calls along with alerts for vehicles next to you and wonderful cruise control. The cruise control features include an automatic speed adjust, with sensors which sense how far away vehicles in front of the car are. The distance to be kept between the car in front can be adjusted using settings on the dash. There is also a setting which alerts the driver when they have drifted out of the lane.

I love my Subaru outback. It is an extremely smooth driving vehicle with excellent gas mileage. I do not have to sacrifice all terrain ability for gas mileage either. I love the trunk space in my vehicle and the spacing of the seats. It allows ample room for my sons car seat and also plenty of space for my dogs to ride comfortable in the trunk. The Subaru outback is a decent daily driver. My family has been a Nissan and Honda owners in the past but after the pathfinder died we needed a car that would be good in the snow and be decent on gas. All reviews for that criteria said the outback was a solid option.

Top rated safety features sold me!
I purchased my outback used and it had 30,000 miles on it. I originally purchased this specific vehicle because I needed a something bigger than what I previously had, because of my kids. And I also purchased it because Subaru outback has been listed as having the top safety features. It gets decent gas mileage for a four wheel drive vehicle and the fact that it is a small size SUV. I love the weather tech style floor liners that came with it and that are in the trunk and on the back of the seats. I also travel a lot with my kids and we require a roof rack in order to do so. I love the cross bar feature. And it is helpful for my kayak rack that I mount up as well when we go kayaking.

Subaru has incredible safety features that make driving easier.
I love my Subaru Outback because it is a very smooth ride, I test drove other cars and the Outback was the smoothest, as well as had the best visibility and comfort. My experience with this vehicle has been frustrating to say the least. I’m unable to turn off the radio or radio comes on by itself at random times. Eyesight & lane departure alarms go off for no reason. I’ve been driving down the road & had the car engage the break without warning due to Eyesight malfunction. The back up camera stays on long after the car has been put into drive. I have taken the car into dealership several times & all recalls are up to date but still having the same problems. Now I’m out of warranty & dealership wants $135 to do a diagnostic. Like: safety features like lane change warning, vehicle ahead stop/start warning, warning for approaching an object too closely, Eyesight features, headlight turns with steering wheel, separate battery for engine and separate for internal electrics, roomy driver/passenger area, driver power seat, global direction on rear view mirror, garage door open feature, excellent mileage without having to scale down to a smaller vehicle, split rear seat, power windows, spoiler, tinted windows, external weather temperature gauge, rear view camera. Dislike: A bit too long -- barely fits into garage. Has good mileage but the accelerator response is not good and car actually rolls back a little on an incline before the accelerator kicks in. This dislike has been mentioned on independent car reviews so I've accepted this little foible about the slow acceleration response.

I love how the Bluetooth was easy to hook up both my wife’s and my phones.
There are not too many problems I have with this vehicle. I love the blind spot protection, and how it is not super invasive. The seats could be a little softer, they seem a bit hard... The engine and transmission however work amazingly! The screen is very user friendly.

Air conditioning and drives well.
It is comfortable it drives well sometimes I feel nauseous when I am in the front seat but I think that is just a me problem. I really like the seats — they are not itchy at all and the air conditioning works really well— car cools down fast. It is also good on gas which is always a plus.

Comfortable and reliable vehicle.
My car is very comfortable to drive and ride in. It has no issues that continue to come up which makes it very reliable. I love the extra features that are available to have in a Subaru. Including heated seats and a backup mirror. I love the additional safety measures that can be included in any of the cars to make driving that much easier.

It has great gas mileage and does well in rain/snow.
I love the gas mileage. I love the make and model. I love the way it drives.

Decent and adequate vehicle.
The car is easy to drive and does not take up a monstrous amount of space on the road. All of the main features of the car work well and are quite adequate. There are many other vehicles that are exactly the same so it may be difficult to find in a parking lot.

My car is very safe and reliable, and has ample storage space..
Very reliable car with awesome industry ratings. I love the safety ratings and the safe feeling I get when driving it. It is a comfy 'car', while having the storage space of a truck or minivan.

Subaru outback: overall satisfied.
Sometimes the acceleration is not the best. When I get my oil change it is better but not crazy good. It is only worrisome on the highway and/or while turning left at intersections. I also think the windshield wipers go out too fast. I have purchased three.

Subaru eyesight system problems.
The eyesight system is overly sensitive to objects on the dash, state directed placement of toll transponders and vehicles in adjacent lanes. This sensitivity causes your vehicle to brake without reason leading to possible accidents. The eyesight system also arbitrarily shuts down without warning when rain hits the windshield, the windshield fogs in certain areas and other unknown causes.

Sporty roomy SUV that drive smoothly and quietly.
Drives really well, smooth. Wide car makes it feel roomy. A lot of storage space. Not a lot of height so would not feel roomy for very tall people. Feels like a very safe car. I haven't had any maintenance issues. Very quiet. 4 wheel drive comes in handy.

My wonderful Subaru outback wagon.
My car is very reliable and extremely safe. It gets about 30 mpg average, less in winter and more on long trips. It is roomy and very useful for bringing home garden supplies or 8' pieces of lumber. The dual temperature settings help when there is a passenger in the front seat. I can use my phone handsfree with Bluetooth. I love the weather package on my car. It defrosts the back window, the windshield wipers and the side mirrors as well as providing heated seats. My cloth seats are comfortable in the summer, too.

The amazing Subaru outback!
Truly very few problems if any at all although sometimes I hear some pinging in the tires when it is cold out, but overall it is an incredibly stable and trusted vehicle all around! I would highly recommend this amazingly sturdy and financially smart car for anyone or any family.

Subaru's are very reliable and are good for driving in any type of conditions.
I've had my Subaru for about a year and a half now. I really love it! It handles great in all types of weather, it has heated front seats for the winter, and it gets good gas mileage. And I like the backup camera more than I thought I would.

My vehicle is high end. It's a beautiful suv with all the things I want.
My Subaru is amazing. It is beautiful inside and out. It has great pick up when I hit the gas. The steering wheel is very responsive. The inside has heated leather seats a touch screen gps and plenty of room. It is very comfortable and I love driving it

Comfortable drive/ terrific safety features.
Although the outback is more or less a small “station wagon” it drives and handles like a sports car. Very comfortable to drive with easy maneuverability. Really like all the safety features including the warnings in the side mirrors when a car is approaching and the back-up camera is tremendous.

Do not buy another Subaru. Not worth the $.
My 2007 had a catalytic converter and timing belt replaced. They were the only non maintenance issues. I love this car. Now for my 2017. Due to squeaks the entire dash was replaced. The passenger seals belt mechanism broke, the racks on the top were warped and had to be replaced. This car had less than 25k on it. We will not be buying another Subaru.

I would buy this car again!
I love the very low maintenance. I wish it had more leg room for adults and car seats. The heated seats are nice. Very reliable vehicle. Tows very well. I feel very secure in this vehicle and would buy again. Wish the Bluetooth would hold more than one phone.

Comfortable and reliable Subaru outback.
Haven't encountered many problems. 4 wheel drive so when you hit the gas you go, which helps a lot in rain and snow. Subaru outback is very reliable as it all the features have continued to work even after a few years of use. The heated seats, GPS, and backup camera help with comfort, directions, and safety.
