It is very dependable and you can always count on it.
I like the size! I had a Toyota Corolla before and this was a huge upgrade. Dislike that the gas pedal is a little slow.

The all wheel drive for Subarus is amazing. I've had jeeps and this is by far my favorite
It is reliable and gas efficient. The ride is smooth and the components on the car is not cheap.

Safety and comfort all in one.
The Subaru Crosstrek is a smooth and safe ride that has good gas mileage. When we were looking for a family car we chose this the Crosstrek because of its great crash test ratings. It also has a great turn radius and with slight sporty look. The heated leather seats and touch screen are amazing (especially in the cold winter). I have never had any issues go wrong with it.

Amazing car with the best features! Backup camera and sound system is amazing
I love my car. It has great gas mileage and is so smooth when driving. Also it fits a lot of things too! And car seats fit amazing, I babysit a lot so I deal with putting one in and out of my car often. The back up camera is also an amazing feature, as well as the leather seats.

Great value, comfort, and driving experience.
Comfortable ride, nice elevation, spacious. Great stick-shift driving experience. Nice quality sound system. Bluetooth connection is a bit defective (skipping or sudden volume change) sometimes. When playing music through my phone, the song name does not change on the dash screen when a new song plays. Reverse gear sometimes difficult to shift into.

Durability and adventurous look I've wanted, battery may die at ~3 yrs
I love my Subaru XV Crosstrek. It's been durable with few to no problems; the only real issue is that my battery died at about three years after purchase (was new). Another family member had the same make and model and their car's battery also died in the same time frame. It's gotten me through my fieldwork in rough conditions and I've not gotten stuck. I love that it looks outdoorsy and adventurous.

Subaru xv Crosstrek - would buy again.
Very dependable and reliable. I live in the mountains and it is wonderful to take camping or off-road. 4wd is great as well as fuel mileage. Very spacious for its size. Only thing I have found that I do not like is that I cannot sit up completely when my back seats are laid down for the height of the roof.

Crosstreks are amazing! I recommend to all!
I own a Crosstrek Subaru. It performs amazingly. It is amazing in all terrains and takes curves amazingly. It is trusted in all weather. I can rely on it at all times. The car is comfy and roomy. I wish it had features for my galaxy right along with iPod. There really isn't anything wrong with this car. Love it and will stay with it forever. I wish it had heated seats for back. I will recommend it to all my family and friends. The stereo sound could be better and have more bass sound.

Worst vehicle - do not recommend.
Worst car I have ever owned. The air conditioning does not work on very hot days. The passenger seatbelt alarm goes off no matter what is on the seat, even if it is just a napkin. Has absolutely no power, going up hills is a struggle. Doors do not lock automatically once you hit a certain speed. There is no trunk release inside the car.

I bought this car new never driven off highway just under100 thousand and it needs new bearings and drive shaft. Not cheap at dealership

It is a great outdoorsy vehicle but its very uncomfortable.
It's a great looking car, and I love the space. However, driving the standard is a pain in the city and the suspension is terrible. It makes for an uncomfortable ride. It would be the perfect car if it was an automatic and the suspension was better. I also would really like leather seats because I have a dog that dirties the cloth seats often.

Worst car I have ever driven.
Acceleration is terrible. Forget about attempting to accelerate up a hill, you will barely make it. Traffic circle at rush hour? You'll have to literally push the gas pedal to the floor. In my previous car, the doors would lock automatically once I hit a driving speed of 10 mph. This car does not do that. Since this car is a keyless entry and keyless start, you can also unlock the doors just by touching the door handles (as long as the key fob is close enough to the door). This is convenient except that when you use this method to unlock the drivers door, it only unlocks the drivers door. It does not unlock the other doors.

It’s an okay car I bought mine at Modesto Subaru and I’ve had problems since the day it came out the dealer. If it’s not the touch screen going out to now the head gaskets going bad. Would recommend this car but I just got a bad one of the bunch. FYI this car only has 150k and I’ve gone threw 2 battery’s a touch screen and one head gaskets. Overall kinda bad experience for me

Transmission lets the entire car down.
Bought for my wife. Would not recommend. I've had to replace the AC compressor already @76k miles, the drivers seat fabric has already ripped on the back rest of all places, the doors don't automatically lock when you put the car in gear (the only nanny technology people actually want for kids and driving through trashy neighborhoods), and worst yet the CVT makes the car super sluggish to drive. The transmission lets the entire car down in my view. To its credit it's fairly durable where it counts, super spacious and practical for its class, gets good mpg, its plenty comfortable (or at least more so than my Rav4), and the interior looks pretty good. But the cons far outweigh the pros in my view. The only real saving grace is the AWD system. If you don't live in a snowy/icy climate buy a Honda or Toyota.

Good but Not Fantastic Car
The car is easy to drive and has pretty good features. I am missing some features that are important like autostart. It is smooth handling and good traction. The seats are comfortable and I like the leather. It does not have a great deal of acceleration for getting on the highway, etc.

Great vehicle for the size.
This vehicle is very comfortable to drive as well as ride in. The only thing about this vehicle that I am not so happy with is the size, I prefer larger vehicles but for someone who does not mind the size its an awesome vehicle. The acceleration time is nice so no complaints there. The trunk is a good size, as well as the back seat.

Great and reliable all around vehicle!
My Subaru has been an extremely reliable vehicle over the years. I have only had minor issues such as bulbs burning out and replacement of normal wear and tear items. It is a great vehicle for off the beaten path (AWD) adventures and every day driving. It is great on mpg as well. I highly recommend purchasing one.

Great sized vehicle for families.
I really like the drivability of the 2015 Subaru xv Crosstrek, it handles turns very well and has great pickup. I also really like the trunk size. As a mom of two boys, I buy a lot of groceries, and when we go to the park to ride bikes I have two car seats in the backseat and two bikes with training wheels in the trunk. It is a great car for families, it is not big and bulky but I feel so safe putting my loved ones in my vehicle.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Kall H.

Great gas mileage. Computer touch screen. Navigation system. Great stereos. Heated seats. Bluetooth. Fog lights. Keyless entry. Leather seats. All wheel drive. Touch locking and unlock. Weather service. Auto dim rearview mirror. Homelink garage door opener. Large truck space. Roomy backseat. Sunroof.

likeFilled Andrew G.

Extremely comfortable and fuel efficient. Has excellent safety ratings. Looks pretty sporty without the price tag of a sports car. Good in any sort of weather or terrain because of the All Wheel Drive.

likeFilled Hanna P.

My car includes the pros of gas efficiency, leather interior, sunroof, safety features, environmentally friendly. The safety features have aided many times in my safety. I have blind spot prevention, lane assist, and brake assist. Furthermore, the car is pretty new and has low mileage on it.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Kall H.

No remote start. You have to pay extra for some of the apps on the computer system. Bad radio connection. Does not want to play Bluetooth while plugged in. Spotty navigation connection. Heated seats light flash. Window lock up.

dislikeFilled Andrew G.

The Bluetooth connection is pretty spotty most of the time (especially when listening to music). The 'trunk' space is kind of small for a utility vehicle. I also do not have the option to add a trailer hitch (not a standard/default option).

dislikeFilled Hanna P.

The car is small, but is perfect size for me. The battery has died a few times and the steering is a little wonky. Compared to other vehicles, it has really touchy gas and brake. My Bluetooth connection is also a little messed up.

How Reliable Is The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek?

It does not pick up as well as most cars and slow on speeding up. Also when you switch from park to reverse or drive, it takes a second to get into gear.

The 2015 Subaru xv Crosstrek limited is very reliable. It does have some minor problems. Had a couple of recalls, but they've been taken care of, and I trust my Crosstrek.

Is The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek A Good Value?

I think I paid around 22000 for my Subaru used. I think I could have gotten a newer version for a comparable price. So I'd suggest to go newer rather than older.
