Review of a 2001 Toyota 4runner

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

I own a 2001 Toyota 4runner and I really like it. I have driven it now for 6 years, I acquired it from a family member in 2012. It now has 243,000 miles on it and still runs decent. I however, have 4 lights on that we cannot seem to get to go off. I have thought about taking it to a professional mechanic but with the age of it I am looking now to purchase a newer Chevy Tahoe.

It has over 225 thousand miles and going strong.

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

She is a champ. Over 225 thousands miles and goes great. She is starting to have trouble in areas other than the engine, such as muffler and we had to get a couple other new things put in. Other then that very reliable. We only buy Toyotas, because they last and are great to drive. As long as you take care of a Toyota, you won't have any issues. Run forever.

I have added a towing kit to her giving her blue lights on the front

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

I love my 4Runner. I have always kept the maintenance up on her so she is very reliable. I have had her about 10 years now and other than a few dings occurred over the years I would change nothing about her. I don't like today's body style, it's to big for me. If something happened and she laid down today, I would look for another just like her!

The endurance of the 01 Toyota 4runner.

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

The car runs great and still looks good for its age. The ride is comfortable especially for the longer trips. I think that it is good on gas to be a older SUV. I love the 4runner it has great speed on interstate miles. The 4 runner handles well in all wheel drive as well as 4 wheel drive. I am pleased with my purchase.

My 4Runner is still going strong!

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

I love my Toyota 4Runner. I bought it 6 years ago and have had no major issues with it, despite it being almost 20 years old! I recommend Toyota every day! The only problem I am having with it is the sunroof has started leaking, however, I'm fine with not using it for the time being. It runs great and shifts easily.

it's the Toyota for adventurers

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

my car is great on space, there is so much space to haul all that I need. I love the roll down back window it let's me fit my kayaks in the back with the seat down. I wish it included features like heated seats and an aux cord but I've discovered tips and tricks to get around those issues.

One of the details is the supercharger in the engine.

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

It is great in the snow because it has four-wheel-drive. It is great for driving to the mountains. It is nice to have the extra room for camping. The engines in this vehicle have a history of lasting a long time. I also like the fact that I can pull a camper with it. Great off road too.

4Runner great four wheel drive just low horsepower

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

I am 6'5' tall and 250 lbs so not a guy on the small side and I would say that my 4Runner is very comfortable. I love the four wheel drive on it you can beat it in my opinion but the downfall is the horsepower it's not a deal breaker for me but it's also not a speed demon.

A Toyota SUV, silver color. This car is my baby, her name is Maria

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

I truly do love this car. It's been in my life since I was a baby and I've had it ever since. Once I turned 15 I started learning how to drive it and it was given to me when I turned 16. It is still in great shape, although, it takes a while to get up to speed.

Best but has issues, nothing too major

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

The timing belt has to be changed every 200,000 miles but it doesn't give many problems. Currently just the air conditioning thing has to be charged. The brakes are good and the exhaust is just finally going. But it rides perfectly and has so much room

Outstanding Design, Incredibly Spacious

2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5

Truly awesome vehicle. Has a roll down window in the tailgate- I put the seats down in the back and it is the perfect size for my great Dane mix and he loves putting his head out the back. No complaints at all. Stylish, and no major mechanical issues.
