I like the temperature controls: heated seat and controls for each side.
The vehicle is comfortable to drive and spacious. The only issue with it is it can be difficult to drive in the snow because of the engine being too heavy in the front. Even with snow tires on. Either way, it has good control and gas mileage. The leather seats are a plus if you have pets or children.

Toyota Camry Hybrid: Sensible, Safe, and Sturdy
I purchased my 2009 Toyota Camry in 2016, and it has run flawlessly ever since. The gas mileage is great - I drive about 70 miles a day, and I only fill up once every two weeks. The vehicle is comfortable for my family of three (and two dogs). The heated seats and sunroof are nice added features, and it is, hands down, the quietest and smoothest car I've ever owned. I have nearly 160000 miles on the car, and at my last maintenance appointment, the mechanic said it ran like a new vehicle.

(Silent) Dream Car for a Couple or Small Family!
My husband and I purchased this car used in 2013 and it's been absolutely excellent from day one. It's spacious and feels very luxurious, with leather seats and a moonroof. There's plenty of storage space in the truck and back seats, and we're big fans of the built in features (audio cable to connect to an MP3 player or phone, easy access charging port for our phones, and hands free Bluetooth connection for phone calls). When we were researching to make this purchase we looked at a lot of reviews citing that this make and model of car rated poorly on the amount of noise that it makes but in our experience it's almost completely silent while driving and truly completely silent while stopped at traffic lights and stop signs. I don't think we could be happier with our vehicle.

Super soft seats, comfortable seats
Very comfortable, wish newer cars still had the nice fabric seats like this one. Decent gas mileage in nice weather (about 27 mpg below freezing at 31 mpg above freezing). Runs well, very quiet and smooth drive. Nothing fancy, but enough to be enjoyable.

Toyota Camry Hybrid is a great car for a family.
Have had the car for about 10 years now. It has been an extremely reliable car. It still gets great gas mileage. It has enough room in the back seat to fit 3 car seats which works great for me. Have had to do minimal repair and maintenance on it, other than oil changes, new tires and new brakes. It is great on longer road trips, the seats are very comfortable. Overall I have been extremely happy with this car, would definitely buy another one in the future.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Theodore D.

Excellent gas mileage to save many dollars at the pump. The engine is quiet and when it is being drove, it has Monorail smooth experiential driving. Not only that, but it Handles excellent with power steering and power brakes. The interior of the 2009 Camry hybrid is surprisingly Roomy for large framed people. I would buy this car again but perhaps in a different year. I would maintain acquiring one with a silver paint job because it is safest and stealth when it comes to the times I spend past highway law enforcement.

Good gas mileage and handles excellently. The car drives like a dream, I couldn't be happier with it. I could go on and on talking about it. The engine is in excellent condition. The look is very sleek and elegant.

I would say the pros of my Toyota Camry hybrid are that it is fuel efficient, I can drive on a tank of gas for a very long time, my road trips are not expensive at all. It has a beautiful shape and is a very sturdy car, also it is very spacious and easy to handle.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Theodore D.

It is so quiet, pedestrians cannot hear the 2009 Toyota Camry hybrid approaching. When coming to a stop it appears as if the engine has stalled and it jumps forward when applying the brake at slow speeds. This is the adjustment between fuel power and hybrid battery power.

dislikeFilled Matthew K.

I cannot think of any. I do not know, I have no idea. There's nothing wrong with it. I'll say it again, there are no cons. There is nothing wrong with it. I love my car. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

dislikeFilled Jaya R.

I cannot really think of that many, since I have an older model maybe the guidance system is a little dated, I am also afraid that maybe since it is so specialized, when it breaks down it will be hard or expensive to replace. The price tag is a bit high.

Yes! It is reliable, rarely has issues, and has great gas mileage. I fill up my car infrequently. I would definitely recommend this car!
Lo I.

How Reliable Is The 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid?

I haven't encountered any problems with the car. I've had it for 10 years. I recently had to get the air conditioning fixed, but other than regular oil changes and changing tires every 5 years it's... Read More
