Editor's Overview

The 2013 Toyota Camry sedan continues to be a consumer favorite, a fact borne out by its status as the best-selling passenger car in America 10 years running. To keep its title, Toyota has improved the Camry's styling, technology and fuel economy. Of course, having some of the highest resale values in its class doesn't hurt either.

The rear view camera is very helpful when parking.

The braking system is rather responsive, which can be beneficial for some people but I prefer a slower one. The front of the car also sits low which can be problematic during some speed bumps or other situations. The Bluetooth automatically turns on sometimes when entering the car which can get annoying if it is undesired. The interior of the car is made of good materials and has lasted well. There are lots of small compartments to store things. The car drives well and has an eco feature for gas which makes me feel better about not owning an electric car. It also makes me feel better when driving because I am saving on gas. The car itself is pretty wide which can be nerve wrecking when driving through narrow roads.

My vehicle looks like the batmobile with styling that gives it a sporty look.

Love my Toyota Camry. Very efficient whether highway or city for miles per gallon. Incredibly comfortable to drive with many features that still sell me on this model including Bluetooth, in-console heads up display, leather and good cold ac in the hot summer months. Handles exceptionally well including speed, cornering, and braking. All around this is the best vehicle I have owned and I have been driving since I was 15 with a permit. I have owned Pontiacs, Chryslers, Dodges, Hondas, Saturn's, and Volkswagens. Hands down Toyota gets my business now due to their maintenance of the vehicle which is always top notch service and customer friendly but product wise they make an exceptional vehicle.

Family in love with Camry.

Toyota Camry is a great in gas, comfortable, and depending on the one you get it has great features. Mine is comfortable to ride in long and short distance. The inside has more room than it looks like so trips are nice, and the trunk holds a nice amount of luggage or whatever else you may need to put in it. The size makes it pretty easy to maneuver around to get in or out of tight spots. This is second one our family has owned. As far as. Safety our family rates the Toyota Camry number. 1 due to the way they build their cars and we have. Had an experience to know that if it were not for. The Camry things would have had a different outcomes in car accident.

Safety Recalls (2)

Visibility > Windshield Wiper/washer > Switch/wiring Oct 16, 2013
Report Receipt Date:
Oct 16, 2013
NHTSA Campaign:
13V505000
Summary:
Toyota Motor Engineering & manufacturing North America, Inc. (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Camry and Camry HV, model year 2013 Avalon and Avalon HV and model year 2014 Corolla vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the windshield wiper switch assembly may short circuit. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, No. 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems."
Consequence:
A short circuit could cause inoperative windshield wipers, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy:
Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the wiper switch assembly, free of charge. The recall began on November 8, 2013. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.
Air Bags , Electrical System , Equipment Oct 17, 2013
Report Receipt Date:
Oct 17, 2013
NHTSA Campaign:
13V442000
Summary:
Toyota is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Avalon, Avalon HV, Venza, Camry, and Camry HV vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the drain hose for the air conditioning condenser may become clogged causing water to accumulate at the bottom of the air conditioning condenser unit housing. The accumulated water may then leak through a seam in the housing onto the air bag control module potentially resulting in a short circuit of the module.
Consequence:
A short circuit may cause the air bags to become disabled or inadvertently deploy. An inadvertent airbag deployment can increase the risk of injury or the possibility of a crash. An inoperative airbag can increase the risk of injury in a severe crash. The power steering assist could also become inoperable resulting in increased steering effort and can increase the risk of a crash at low speeds.
Remedy:
Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will seal the air conditioning condenser unit housing and install a protective cover on the airbag control module, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.
