Reliable, high quality car for less

2006 Toyota Corolla S

My commute is less than 10 minutes so I don't have far to drive, but this car has been One of the best purchases I've made in my life. It's well built, good in the snow (surprisingly), and I've had to make relatively few repairs despite its age. It's a 2006, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of new cars, but it's very comfortable, the interior still looks great due to quality upholstery and it's still fun to drive. The paint is chipping in spots, but I plan on getting touch up paint to protect it from further damage. One issue I did have was that the seal on the windshield hasn't been perfect. In the winter I get some frost on the *inside*. Nothing a quick warm up can't fix. Overall, it's been a great car for me. It runs smoothly and has been extremely reliable when I take it on long trips. There's hardly anything wrong with it, which I think is great for such an old car'it really speaks to the quality that Toyota puts into their cars.

How my Toyota Corolla has lasted me for almost 15 years!

2006 Toyota Corolla S

I really like my car because it has great gas mileage, especially in this day in age when gas is expensive. I got the car 2016, which it was about 10 years old. It has had a few car problems like the radiator broke twice, which would cause the car to overheat at times. The transmission is still working well. The only thing that had to change constantly, are the tires, oil, brakes, windshield wipers, and air filters. But it's normal for those things to be changed constantly. The car is very comfortable, and it has five cushion seats. I have take that car to far places and it almost has 200,000 miles in it, but it is still working well. Another problem is that I can't take the car to far places anymore since there is chance of the car getting more problems. The paint on the car need to be redone, since the sun damaged the paint. Overall its in working condition and it is driving conditions.

In LOVE with my Toyota Corolla

2006 Toyota Corolla S

The Toyota Corolla has great gas mileage, is roomy, and very comfortable. This is my second car of the same exact make and model and I have nothing but good things to say about it! My first car was at 280,000 miles before I traded it in, and the only real work that was done on it was the brakes and clutch! It was extremely impressive. My car is currently at 190k and I'm having issues with my break and the undercarriage rust (but I live in an environment where the roads are salted often!)

Reliable, great gas mileage, also has a thermometer near the dashboard

2006 Toyota Corolla S

I have had this car for 10 years. It is a 2006 model, and I started driving it my junior year in high school. The problems have been minor, even after crashing it a few times, I just paid to have it fixed.. it is a reliable vehicle. I think mine has around 250,000 miles on it and still drives great. The steering wheel makes a grinding noise when I am really willing it, but I'm sure that can be fixed easily, with some steering fluid or something.

Most reliable car on long trips with great gas mileage.

2006 Toyota Corolla S

I have not experienced any problems with this car. It is remarkable on gas mileage. I have never had a car that was so reliable. We use this car for every long trip we take. It handles well and has room to fit comfortably three people in the back seat. I will definitely purchase another Toyota Corolla when the time comes for another car. This car has plenty of power, I'm never concerned with being able to enter in a freeway ramp.

2006 Toyota corolla, easy to drive!

2006 Toyota Corolla S

Zero vehicle problems as long as you keep up with maintenance. Minor recalls that were fixed quickly and efficiently by dealer. Super easy to drive, spacious interior. Nice features, power windows, cruise control, cold A/C, etc. Super reliable, always gets from point A to point B. Never have had any issues personally. Fantastic on gas, but a fairly averaged sized gas tank for this size car.

Small reliable and great handling!

2006 Toyota Corolla S

The corolla in general is very reliable. I drove it cross country in a move and it was a champion. Despite being serviced regularly and immediately before beginning the journey however, it did not handle the mountains very well. The trim on the s model is also more than mildly annoying as it reduced the ground clearance by quite a bit. It also adds nothing other than looks in my opinion.

The pros and cons of a 2006 Toyota corolla.

2006 Toyota Corolla S

It is a small car. It also does not go very fast. The radio is old there is no aux cord attached to it. The headlights are dim. It beeps until you put your seatbelt on. The brakes on the car are not all that good must get new brakes often. The air conditioning gets very cold. When it's cold outside the heat in the car takes a long while to warm up and heat up the car.

Dependable and long lasting.

2006 Toyota Corolla S

It is dependable. As it has aged over the years I have had to do maintenance on it. I have gotten a new serpentine belt, 3rd coil, brakes, and power steering cord. By keeping up with the maintenance it has helped my car to stay dependable. The gas mileage has gone down over the years and that is the only negative I have noticed.

Toyota corolla - small and dependable.

2006 Toyota Corolla S

The seats are relatively comfortable. My car is extremely reliable and I only ever have problems with a back tire running a little low on air. The performance is great, though it has problems on hills at time since it does not seem to be made for much other than flat city terrain, though I have driven across the us with it.

Toyota Corolla no problems for 13 years

2006 Toyota Corolla S

My family has had our Toyota Corolla since 2006 and it has had 0 major issues in that time period. It is a manual transmission and I save lots of money on gas because of the great gas mileage. It is a fun car to drive but it lacks power and doesn't look the greatest. It is the perfect college car.

Best car to get you around is a 2006 sedan

2006 Toyota Corolla S

I have had this car for a few years and it has been the most reliable car. Of course like any aged car you have some small problems but they are very affordable to fix if you go to a good mechanic. This is a 2006 model but the features do work pretty well in today's technological forward future.

My car is super great and I like it a lot

2006 Toyota Corolla S

I really like this car because of its compact size. I also appreciate its decent gas mileage. In addition it is very reliable and I've never had any issues with it. I also like how it has a larger trunk. It also accelerates well. One complaint I do have is that the turn radius isn't very good.

Toyota corolla: the goat!

2006 Toyota Corolla S

I love my Toyota corolla. It is comfortable, reliable, great on gas mileage, and has never let me down. My entire family loves corollas for their efficiency and capabilities. They are a great price for a well made and long-lasting vehicle. Toyota all around is a trustworthy brand.

Reliable/durable vehicle with low mileage

2006 Toyota Corolla S

It is reliable with only 55,000 miles. I have replaced nothing but tires in the last 2 years. I would recommend Toyota to anyone because of the reliability/durability aspects. It has working air conditioning and a great engine. I also love that there is no timing belt

I feel safe driving with my baby in this car

2006 Toyota Corolla S

My vehicle is very reliable. I have never had any major problems with it and I drive it everywhere. I feel safe in it and I feel safe driving with my son in it. There is only minor wear and tear on it because it is a 13 year old car but other than that it runs great.

- Cynthia C

Love my reliable Toyota!!

2006 Toyota Corolla S

My Toyota has been very reliable. Since I've owned it I've only ever had to do routine maintenance. Gas miles per gallon is acceptable. However, I know I could get a newer model with better mpg. I really enjoy that it is a small sedan.. makes parking a breeze.

Difficult to keep air in wheels

2006 Toyota Corolla S

The wheels don't seal too the tires all the time so constantly putting air in them. Also wish that the was more room between the wheel and seat as my knees hit the underside. (And I'm short) . It gets good gas mileage. About 350 to 400 miles on a tank.
