Steering feels unresponsive, inside it has cheap plastic and cloth materials and is missing the latest technology.

Good decision to buy a Toyota corolla.
This car is too comfortable and a good purchase. It works perfectly, is wide and secure. I recommended it. The only problem is that the airbag has a defect so you have to take your car to the distributors of Toyota to replace it. Is a good choice to buy the corolla.

Running great! Still love my Toyota.
I love my car. The only issues I have really had with it are the electric in my doors. A teenager backed a trailer hitch into my engine and after it was fixed it has ran for years. I also love the hands free phone. It is simple to use and a great way to talk and drive.
accountCircle David C
The Toyota corolla is wonderful.
Performance is really smooth, steering wheel provides optimal and fluid control over the car. Very comfortable seats and has an overall sleek design to it. Also has a sunroof which can be opened to provide fresh air coming in and is a nice little feature. I have had no problems regarding the performance of the vehicle as I am very happy with it.

Gets very good gas mileage. 10 gallon tank and will last me about nine days.
I love Toyota they are very reliable and also affordable vehicles. Have never had a problem with my car would highly recommend this brand. Have owned for three years now and have only had to replace battery once my warranties are almost up and I have never had to use them.

Gets good gas mileage, it's a manual transmission. It is a little small for my family but it fits everything I need. It rarely needs repairs.
It is a manual transmission, but it is very easy to drive, the clutch is smooth.

I love my Toyota corolla!
I love my car. I haven't had any major mechanical problems. The only thing I have had an issue with was a plastic tube that ran coolant from the reservoir to the radiator but it only cost about $10 to fix. It has been a great car for me for the past five years. It is comfortable it gets good gas mileage and I feel safe in it!
accountCircle Maria A
That is very economic on gas and does not required a lot of maintenance.
I love that my vehicle is very economic in gas, spacious and looks good. It has a lot of mileage and runs great. I does not required a lot of maintenance.

The main issue with it was the passenger airbag recall that occurred 1 year ago.
The car is really reliable in terms of Its engine. I personally have no problems with it and haves used my car everyday for the past 5 or 6 years that I've had it. I only have 70000 miles on the car. There was a recall recently when it came to the passenger side airbags so just a heads up on that.

Toyota corolla not a road trip car.
My car is very reliable and practical. This car gets great gas mileage and has trunk room for shopping and travel. The driver seats are not very comfortable for long distance travel. This car also hates going up hills or over 60 mph. It has seat belts for 5 but I don't recommend it for 5 adults or even 5 teenagers. It is a great go to work and go home car, not really good for road trips or anything far.

If you like small cars buy one.
Good on gas but to small, always has problems. The price was ridiculous but that was all I could afford.
accountCircle Susan B
The controls for the hear and ac look like washer knobs.
Car is light, there is no a lot of power. It is not very comfortable. The trunk has a lot of room and the backseat is big. Needs more compartments up front for phones and drinks etc.. Would enjoy more if there was more capabilities and power and room.
accountCircle Victoria U
I want a new car I would not recommend getting a 2011 Toyota corolla.
It is to small. It is not fast and the interior is hideous. The transmission is going out and the aux cord hole does not work. Sometimes my radio messes up and will not turn on. The air is never cold enough. The only thing good about the car is the gas mileage.
accountCircle Delaney F
Trunk has more space than expected which is a big deciding factor for my family.
The 2011 Toyota corolla l does not have a USB port for CarPlay or charging a phone instead it has an aux cord and charger insert. Also no lock on glove box. Not very spacious for families. Front bumper material fragile. Wouldn't drive for long periods of time.
accountCircle Susan B
Smaller vehicle has great gas mileage and does not cost a lot to fill up.
The car is small. There's not a lot of power to it, must use caution when accelerating as it makes transmission skip.
accountCircle Jerry E
The sport appearance is quite attractive.
The body seems really cheap very easily damaged in the interior seems low quality. Bluetooth is really hard to use and you can only either use music or phone but not both. Gas mileage is decent I'll be averaging 32 miles a gallon. Maintenance is cheap though.
accountCircle Mathew S
The model is amazing but not satisfying at all.
The performance is so satisfying it is so amazing to drive I enjoy it driving and although I will rate it 50 out of 100. But if you have further more budget you can try another car as you want. Thanks a lot. It cannot contain more people that is why I am reducing to rating number of this car hope you understand.

Finally, the dashboard can melt in extremely hot weather since it is made of plastic.

It holds its value well for its class, depreciating only 38% in the first five years.

  • The base model Corolla is the L. It comes standard with cloth seating, 15-inch steel wheels, a manual transmission, and a CD player with four speakers and an AUX input. An automatic transmission is optional.

accountCircle Kimber O

It is very reliable. I do wish the back seat was a little larger, but that is kind of hard to do in a compact car.

accountCircle Beth N

Yes, reliable is a great adjective to describe this vehicle! I have never had the corolla break down on me. I have also never had an issue with this car.

What Engine Options are Available?

The 2011 Toyota Corolla’s reliable but slightly underwhelming 1.8L engine is offered across three trims. The 2011 Corolla is a compact, front-wheel-drive sedan, not a race car. It goes from 0 to 60 in 9.8 seconds, slower than average for its class. A single-engine option, the 1.8L four-cylinder produces 132 horsepower.

What Colors Options are Available?

How Big is the Corolla?

The 2011 Corolla is smaller than other compact cars, but it offers above-average legroom in the front and rear. It has less cargo space than its competitors, with only 12.3 cu. ft. of room in the trunk. Three full-size suitcases should fit, but it may be tight.

Centered wide dash shot

How Does the 2011 Toyota Corolla Compare to Other Cars?

The 2011 Corolla ranks 11th out of the 24 compact cars in its class. Competing with the Mazda3 and its more powerful engine choices, the Toyota loses the fun to drive competition. Corolla excels with more interior room and better fuel economy. Both cars are long-lasting, but Toyota’s lower cost of ownership makes it the better choice.

The Kia Forte, with better technology and more cargo space gives the Toyota a run for the money. Fuel economy and the cost of ownership are similar between the two cars. Where Toyota wins is in long-term reliability. Based on owner reviews, the Toyota is a better choice here as well.

How an older Toyota corolla holds up.
There are no problems with my car at the moment. Toyota’s get very good gas mileage and hold up well. The radio goes out every once in awhile. If I bang on the dash it will come back on. Must be a fuse or something. It is a very good car. I would recommend it to anyone.

I like about my car is how I can move my seat up and down as needed.
It is really reliable, and the miles per gallon are good it only costs 20-30 dollars to fill up such is really good. It is kind of a small space and low to the ground but overall it is a really good car especially for first time car owners or students, plus it is not too expensive to lease.

Great car. It is my second corolla and my third Toyota. I am a fan.
No issues. I love her. She’s comfortable, dependable and nice to look at. I drive a lot and often have to park in congested areas or small parking garages. My corolla is very easy to maneuver and very responsive. She is also very economical to drive. I do most of my driving in congested areas that include a lot of stop and go traffic. The gas mileage is still great.

Wonderful all around! I love it!
It is lasted me at least 5 years now with no problems. No airbag issues or anything like that. Seats are super comfy and the car is very roomy inside. I love that you open the gas tank from inside the car making it harder for anyone to tamper with the gas tank from the outsiders.

Love the sleek look to it. Looks like a sports car.
Everything is good. No problems so far, have 73,000 miles on it. It is runs good, minor scratches. Clean inside has Bluetooth and hands free calling. Really enjoy it. Drives nice, but does not take off that fast. Wish it did though. Reversing is really easy car basically drives itself do not need to always have two hands on the wheel.

Best car for NYC when it comes to mileage and gas.
The sensor on my Toyota had been a problem for a while, fixing spark plugs etc.. Well now I had to pay $4000 for a new engine, my car had been paid for about 6 years so I pay it at the Toyota dealership and prey that nothing else will happen, I did not want to buy or have a car payment.

A fun, quick, reliable family car.
I enjoy driving this car. It is comfortable and quiet. Only time is in the repair shop is for regular maintenance. I use synthetic oil in the car and change it every 5000 miles. I have had one minute problem, I had to switch out the water pump when I heard some noise. After doubt since research, other owners of the same year, make and model had the same issue. I works recommend this car to anyone. It is compact so I can fit nicely into the small spaces downtown in the garages. The cast is quick and reliable. My boyfriend, a car guy, enjoys driving my car as well. He is surprised at how well it handled the road and how quick it was. This is a fun car to drive.

The benefits of my Toyota corolla.
My Toyota corolla is absolutely amazing for long car rides and traveling. The seats inside the car are super comfortable as well. The steering wheel is not to big to grip. It is a very zippy car but struggles to pick up speed once getting on the highway. The gas mileage is also a huge bonus for the car. It is definitely worth the money if you are looking for a little travel car. I can also fit a surfboard in my car which explains itself how much room it has inside.

I really like mine, it gets me where I need to be. It is comfortable, has good mileage, and is reliable. Everything functions properly, and I haven't had any issues with it. Now that it is old it leaks oil, but I do not think this is across all cars though, probably just a personal thing.

Second Toyota that I have ever owned. Amazing secure feeling while driving. Handles really well and gets great gas mileage, it performs better than listed getting 37 mile per gallon for me. Super easy to change the oil. Would highly recommend to anyone interested. I have driven it for over 8 years and put over 140,000 miles without any issues, knock on wood.

Great, sturdy, and easy to drive car.
The corolla is really sturdy! The only repairs that we've done on it have been outside of what would be considered regular damage over time. The one complaint I have is that the window motors are a bit weak, and I have had to replace mine once. The car is comfortable, and can fit 4 people comfortably, and 5 people a bit tighter.
