2014 Toyota Corolla - Reliable, Comfortable, and Fun To Drive
2014 Toyota Corolla L
I have driven my 2014 Toyota Corolla for over 5 years and 58k miles. Outside of regular maintenance, I've only had to replace the (3 year) battery and get a recharge of the AC system after over 5 years (no leaks). Unfortunately, the electronic locks started to not work intermittently at around 30-35k miles. The cost of repair was too high considering that it is just a mild inconvenience and I didn't get it to the dealership prior to the warranty on those components lapsing due to mileage. This is a comfortable car to sit in even for me at 6 foot 4 inches tall. I have driven it between the Los Angeles, CA area to the Phoenix, Arizona and back. After about 3-4 hours it starts to be less comfortable. My typical time spent in the vehicle is 1-2 hours so this isn't an issue for me. However, if you are looking to go on a long road trip this car might not be the first choice for you. The car has enough power to reach speed on even short freeway on ramps. I get about 33 mpg on the freeway and about 28 in the city. In the base model, there is Bluetooth and a great sound system. I might have opted for a model with keyless entry if I had it to do over. I think that the exterior looks great - sleek and modern. There is very little road noise inside of the cabin. The suspension provides a smooth ride. I love this car and I plan to drive it for at least 10 years.
