It's just a regular highlander that everyone drives
It has sweat warmers which is always a plus during the winter. Only con is no aux or Bluetooth connection for music and the seats are leather so it can get really cold or really hot. Besides that, I love how there's lots of space, three rows enough for road trips with lots of people and it's very smooth.

Love the third row seating option when friends wants to go on a road trip
The Hybrid is very quiet. You can barely hear the engine is on. When driving it feels very smooth like you're in an airplane if you close your eyes by the way the car accelerates. Only problem hybrid system did fail at one point however was covered by warranty

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Anthony N.

The vehicle is reliable and gets good gas mileage. It also is roomy enough for families with kids who for example have to haul stuff back and forth to college, etc. As for the cons, the original tires didn't last very long and had to be replaced sooner than I expected.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Anthony N.

I mentioned the original tires didn't last as long as I expected. Another minor issue is the digital tire pressure reader, does not identify the tires--it just gives you numbers, so you have no idea without further checking which number corresponds to which specific tire.

Yes I've been very happy with it. When I decide to buy another vehicle, a Highlander will be on my list.

How Reliable Is The 2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

I haven't had any real issues with it. The car used to automatically unlock the backseat but it stopped a few years back.

Is The 2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid A Good Value?

I think I paid 43k for it, but honestly it was 10 years ago so I'm not sure. I don't know if I should purchase the Hybrid version again through, the mileage isn't that great.
