2013 Toyota Highlander: Very reliable and spacious with back up camera

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

I enjoy the comfort of the Highlander and fortunately, I've had very few problems thus far. Mine is a 2013 and so far I've only had a problem with the door locking system. The drivers side door no longer locks on its own and it has to be done manually now. Toyota is a very reliable brand and I love how my vehicle has a 3rd row seat. With only 1 child, we have plenty of room to put luggage for travel, and we have plenty of seating to take additional passengers. I also love the rear air conditioning, the space the 2nd rowing seating has, and the ride is very smooth. The seats are very comfortable and are cloth material, which I like because it does not make the car extra hot in the summer time like leather seating does, even though it is harder to clean. There is plenty of headroom, as my husband is 6'4' and he can drive it comfortably. The highlander gets great gas mileage compared to full size SUVs. I prefer a full size SUV, but for the size of vehicle this is, I have been very pleased. I think my favorite is the backup camera, as I have never had one before. It is very convenient with having a child and with trying to maneuver in parking lots, etc. I also love how it connects to Bluetooth and you can make phone calls through the car without holding the cell phone. Again, this is another feature I have never had before.

Excellent large family vehicle

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

We got the Highlander because we were expanding our family and needed a vehicle that would big enough to fit all of us. We are a family of five. Our two youngest are in car seats. The second row fits the car seats well, leaving room for a third person. We seldom use the third row, which leaves a large trunk space; which I love because we usually either have a wagon or stroller in the back. The gas mileage is great, and we have not had any issues since getting the car.

Wanted minivan. Husband talked me into testing the Highlander! Glad he did!

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

The 2013 Toyota Highlander is a great family car. I originally wanted a minivan in order to fit all three of our children in it but I'm so glad he talked me in to test driving the highlander. The highlander comfortably fits all three kids in it and we still have some trunk space. The different features in it are easy to use and the car drives like a dream. We love our highlander!

I Love Both of My Highlanders

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

I love my Highlander!! There are very few mechanical issues. Very smooth driving. The gas mileage is reasonable. It is my workhorse in that it carries all we need on trips, to garden centers, hardware stores and grocery stores. It has some of the highest ratings in safety according to 'Consumers Report'. I feel very safe driving my Highlander

Comfy but not great for family camping.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

I haven't had any problems yet with it. It is extremely reliable. It has been decent on gas. In city I only get about 16 mpg, but highway I'll get around 25 mpg. It fits a family of 5 comfortably, but if you plan I am taking a road trip and packing a lot of things it is not very comfy. Hauling things with only one passenger has been easy enough.

Third row easily folds up and down

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

No comfortable, ok gas mpg, lousy compartment space in cargo area. Visibility is ok. Has a lot of ports for charging, but since it is older, all are cigarette except one USB. Like the third row a lot when needed, but middle row seats don't move up far enough making it hard for anyone to get out of the third row.

Great vehicle for an everyday car.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

Love this car! It has Bluetooth, touch screen, backup camera. It has tons of leg room and storage room. Has bucket seats in the back but it can be converted to bench seat. The only downside of this car is that it does have a few blind spots, however I am somewhat short and this could be the cause.

This is my opinion of a Toyota highlander.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

Good performance, excellent reliability, very comfortable, controls are easily available, heated seats make driving a joy, the electric seats and height adjustments are extras that I enjoy. The electric door on the hatch is another feature I like and enjoy using it when loading the automobile.

The car is amazing for everybody!

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

The car is easy to use and big enough for 7 people. I love it! So far, I had no troubles with the car! The Air Conditioning is working pretty fast what is very important in these hot summer days. The sound system is also very good. I like to hear loud music and the sound for that is awesome!

Best decision of the year.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

As of now there have been no problems with my car. It is very reliable and fun to drive. I love the 3rd row seating. The 2nd row has the option for a bench seat or 2 separate seats. My nephews enjoy riding in my car. The car maneuvers well on narrow roads despite its larger size.

Very comfortable and smooth ride.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

Safe, reliable, comfortable for passengers and driver, Bluetooth option is great for phone calls and streaming music, optional third row great for families, separate rear heating/cooling option helpful, good trunk space, second row folds down flat for carrying cargo loads.

Excellent vehicle for road trips.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

Great highway car. Smooth ride . Power seat structure keeps coming apart . Wish it had beeping for backup camera . Comfortable . Love all the cup holders. Love the sound system but when speakers go out you have to replace the entire system . Love gas consumption.

Lots of extra space for passengers.

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

Wish it had a DVD player, auto stop sensors. I like the extra room of the third row seats. It can fit up to 7 people in it. Lots of room for luggage and room for my dog to ride in. Wish it had a luggage rack on top when we need extra space for passengers.

Toyota highlander is great!

2013 Toyota Highlander Base

Love this car! Reliable, no problems, plenty of room for family, dog, groceries, etc. Very safe, had not had a problem and I just got 70, 000 miles and my car is still going strong. I plan on keeping this car for a while, and then hope to get another.

Fantastic Daily Driver

2013 Toyota Highlander base

I have 200000 kms, not one issue since I bought it new. Runs and performs awesome in -40’s. Highway mileage fantastic, city bit thirsty. Too badToyota don’t sell a supercharger, be nice if this thing had bigger bite
