Reliable and economical to maintain. Comfortable ride for longer trips and plenty of storage space for luggage. Cons: 1)Front passanger seat is smaller than the driver seat, so I'm not as comfortable when I'm not the driver. (they should narrow the center console and widen the passanger seat) 2)My wife, who is 5'1" feels teh outside rear view mirror is too big and blocks her view when turning left.) 3)The navigation touch screen is locked while in motion to prevent the driver from being distracted, but also prevents the passanger from entering destination, etc. The voice command feature on the navigation doesn't work that well, so we end up pulling over to change our destination address. Most Highlander owners I talk to don't use the navigation system as Google Maps is easier.

It is very comfortable and spacious yet not so big and hard to drive for someone who is short. We can put down the third roll of seating for more space to pack things. Toyota vehicles are very reliable and last a long time. This car is so suitable for a mom like myself.

Black Toyota highlander SUV.
I have had my car for about 2 years now and it has been treating me really well. The inside is super sturdy and I haven’t had any major problems whatsoever with it. I have noticed recently a battery issue but I think I just need a replacement. Honestly Toyota is the way to go when buying a car.

Love my Toyota highlander limited.
This is my second Toyota highlander and when I go to purchase my next vehicle - it will be another Toyota highlander. I can drive for hours and hours and this is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. It is reliable and can run for miles without any major issues.

Great mid-size SUV which has excellent reliability ratings.
I love my 2016 Toyota highlander. The interior is comfortable and very roomy. Controls are easily accessible, intuitive to use., etc. In the 4 years I have owned the vehicle, I have had no problems whatsoever. The only issue is my particular model does not have all of the safety features that are now standard on the newer models.

I love my 2016 Toyota highlander.
I love my truck. The traction is great in harsh weather and the rear view camera makes it so much easier to drive and it is very accurate in the location of the car. Believe it or not but the car is actually very good on gas. I did however have a problem with the rear brake lights as water was getting into the plastic molding and it was not covered by warranty so I had to pay out of pocket to replace the moldings before anything serious happened to the lights in the back.

Toyota highlander 2016 review.
The car is extremely smooth. You rarely feel any bumps in the road while driving. The car itself includes heated seats, a touchscreen GPS system. I have had this car for four years and I have not ran through any problems. It is extremely reliable and is definitely the right size for any family.

The perfect size for a growing family plus pets!
We bought this vehicle shortly after the birth of our first child, wanting to get rid of our small four door sedan to upgrade to something safer. This was the perfect vehicle for us. We bought it used, but in great condition. I commute about 30 minutes each way to work everyday, plus we both have families a few hours outside of town that we visit on occasion. It is been two years with this vehicle now and it has never given us any problems whatsoever. It is super spacious, it comfortably fits us two in the front, our toddler in a car seat in the middle, and our two large dogs plus luggage and such in the folded down third row in back for weekend trips with plenty of room to spare. We are already considering getting another to replace our older model ford escape.

Very good I really love my Toyota highlander I wouldn't trade it for any car.
I enjoy driving my vehicle it is really good. I would not trade this vehicle for any other. Is big and has a big capacity of milling. The only bad thing is that the water pump it messes up little big one in a while and that the only problem I had with it.

Very useful all around SUV.
Great vehicle, no real issues. We bought it used. Third row seating is very helpful with kids, dogs, traveling, and horse tack transport needs. Gas is obviously more than a sedan but we do not mind it too much. Another added feature is the listening/speaker gadget to communicate with passengers in the back.

Reliable, good pick up, spacious, I only wished I had gotten blind side package. I love the rear sun screens as well as the optional rear captains seats. It gets good gas mileage on the open road of approximately 26 miles per gallon. Pinstripes and body side moldings add to the all over stylish design.

Sporty mom car with lots of extra space.
I love all the safety features that come with this Toyota. The highlander provides plenty of leg room and spacious enough for all of our car seats. The third row is also an added bonus that comes in handy when running errands spur the moment with friends or transporting extra kids to and from sports. We love everything about it. The highlander also offers all of these features without feeling like you are driving a tank. I also love the fact that my highlander does not look like the traditional mom car but keeps its sporty look and feel.

The best vehicle I have ever purchased.
I absolutely love this vehicle. I have had no issues or problems so far with it. I am especially pleased with the 3rd row seats and room for multiple people to ride along. The touchscreen and navigation is something that really interested me and caught my eye at first. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is shopping and needs a lot of room. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the trunk space, but it wasn't a huge disappointing factor for me.

So many wonderful features that it is impossible to choose a favorite!
I absolutely love our Toyota highlander limited addition. We have owned it for 1 year and have had non-performance issues. My favorite features are the backup camera, electric start, and a blind spot sensor. The backup camera provides a clear picture and notifies me if I am about to hit someone or something out of view. The electric start is a must have for both winter and summer weather. I love the way I am notified by a light on my side mirrors if a car is in my blind spot. It is comfortable for the for the entire family. It allows us to save two seat position settings so with one touch my husband and I can get our perfect position. My highlander has both heated and cooling seats which are amazing. Overall I highly recommend the Toyota highlander.

Perfect for a family of 4: luxury, comfort, dependable.
I bought my Toyota highlander new off the lot in December 2016, and I have never had any issues with it so far. I take it for routine maintenance, tire rotations, etc. I love that it has the third option if needed, but mostly we keep that row down and have a stroller back there and plenty more room after that. I have two kids, and it is perfect, but I think I'd look for something larger if I had a larger family. The car has a luxury feel over a sporty feel, and it is just what we need for our family.

My Toyota Highlander.....Perfect for Me
My Toyota Highlander is the perfect automobile for me. I love that it has seating for 7 in case I want to take my children and grandchildren somewhere with me. I like the heated and cooled seats. The seats are comfortable. It is a good sized vehicle but the handling is really like a regular car. I'm able to park it with ease and It's easy to back out of a space thanks to the backup camera. I wish it got better gas mileage but it is a big vehicle and that comes with the territory.

Highlander 2016 positive review.
My favorite aspect of this car is the way it handles. It drives very smooth and turning corners, turning into parking spots, and any other maneuvering is very easy and feels great. It is roomy and comfortable with the perfect amount of technology to not be updated but not overwhelming.

A good used car to consider!
The 2016 Toyota highlander XLE was bought used in 2019. It came loaded with power accessories, power windows, power seats with lumbar support, and power liftgate. There are 3 rows of seating to comfortably seat 7 passengers. My model included a moon/sun roof, which is wonderful during the harsh Chicago winters. It was previously used in a leased vehicle program, and came with low mileage of 26000 miles. The engine is powerful and was very clean at time of purchase, no major maintenance so far. It has on demand 4 wheel drive for the slushy winters, and get very good gas mileage. All in all, a great vehicle.

Toyota highlander: the perfect family car.
The Toyota highlander is very nice, I really enjoy all the outlets and heating seats. The Mileage is very good however the price to fill up the entire car with gas is very expensive around $35-50 dollars each time which is a downfall about this car, it is very big and open for 8 people and can store a lot in the trunk, however with newer cars the trunk spaces are getting smaller and smaller. I would like the trunks to be a lot more larger in the near future.

Awesome SUV with roomy interior.
Gorgeous color of burgundy with black trim around the wheels. It has black interior. The seats are very comfortable with a fabric like material and it is super easy to keep clean. It rides very smoothly, like a dream on air. Roomy interior and cargo space. Gas mileage is great for in town and highway.

It's a good car, but there's better options.
Its big and has a lot of features, but I didn't choose it myself so it has a tacky color. The wiper also aren't automatic. The sensors for cars passing is pretty cool too.

My favorite part of the car is the panoramic sunroof.
I absolutely love my car. The upside, Toyota is a reliable automobile manufacturer, it is cozy and amazing to drive. The oil change is every 5k to 7k. The price for oil change is not too hefty. Only downside is the gas but that is a given as it is a SUV.

My Highlander has worked perfectly for my family. It's very spacious, rides smooth .I have the third row seating option so it seats 8. Which is perfect for when a few friends want to tag along. Definitely saves from having to take two vehicles somewhere. I haven't had any issues at all with my highlander. It's been a very nice car to have.

Love this SUV. It is small enough that I feel comfortable driving it anywhere yet big enough to load up quite. U can get any feature on the model you choose. It rides quiet and smooth. We opted for the AWD since we live in the mountains and have snow. Excellent. I seriously cannot think of any problems, but the vehicle is only two years old.

Great family vehicle with lots of space.
It has tons of space for cargo. The third row can be a little cramped for adults but is still great to have for short trips. We have a large car seat that fits in the second row rear facing with enough room for the driver to still be comfortable.

This car is perfect for a family of five.
Runs very well. We drove it when we moved from east coast to west coast and had no issues. Good capacity for a family of five plus a dog. My only complaint is that it is difficult to see through the side mirrors while turning. The side mirrors block some of my view since I am also 5 feet in height.

I owned another crossover vehicle before I purchased my Toyota highlander and although I loved that car for the space it wasn’t reliable. That is why I purchased the Toyota because I researched and it was a reliable and dependable car. It has been very dependable, with no mechanical issues at all. I also love the size and flexibility of the 3rd row seating. Although the 3rd is not extremely roomie for full sized adults it works perfect for kids/teens when we need extra room. I do like the 3rd row down and the storage room it affords. Love my highlander!

Perfect family car for any family.
I absolutely love my Toyota highlander! It is perfect for our family of four. I have two very active kids and this car gets the job done as far as reliability, durability, and spaciousness. The leather interior is a must with kids, as it wipes clean. I love the option of having the third row as I often transport other children as well (cousins and friends). Pros and cons of highlander.
My vehicle drives very good and has been very dependable. It has only been worked on for regular maintenance. The thermostat seems off to me. You have to turn it way down to get cool air. Drivers side has a bad blind side at the side mirror. It is a comfortable ride except the third row which is very tight, even for kids. I wish there was more cargo room also. Overall, I have been pleased and nothing has been unexpected.

The highlander has great visibility and turns on a dime! I love the backup camera. The shelf in front of the console and passenger seat is such a handy idea. I have not had any problems with my highlander. The engine has plenty of pick up for passing. The screen with GPS is easy to use and program.

Even though we bought this car pre owned, it has all the safety features of the 2019 models. This car is a smooth ride along with the reliability that you'd expect with the Toyota brand. Toyota also has an awesome certified warranty as well. We are a Toyota family through and through!

Great vehicle for a large family.
I love my highlander! It is the perfect amount of space for my 4 kids, including 2 car seats. The seats are easy to move so my kids can climb into the back. I love my Highlander. It is very comfortable, reliable and it looks good. The ride is smooth and it has good pick up. I have not had any problems with my car and it is easy to maintain. The interior is extremely roomy and the backseat is wonderful to sit in. The back seat actually will recline back just a little. There is a third row that can be used and when not in use the back lays flat.

The car does have some blind spots when backing up or changing lanes. It is comfortable, reliable and a great ride. It is extremely spacious. I do not like the Entune system on the car- not a lot of choices. The GPS is horrible and you are unable to add apps. It would be helpful if there was a better GPS

Great car all around highly recommend.
I have not had any problems driving my Toyota. It was a great performance, the breaks and gas pedal are not touchy meaning it drives smoothly. I feel comfortable driving around in this vehicle and the features are helpful.. Talking about the Bluetooth and buttons on the steering wheel.

Perfect for small family on many levels

Reliable and roomy mid size SUV.
It's a very reliable and roomy car. The third row is easy to use and offers enough room for kids to sit in the back. The second row has enough room to for adults to be comfortable. I wish it sat up higher though. We previously had a 2009 Honda pilot that sat up higher than the highlander. We liked that a little better. Overall very satisfied with the highlander.

Good hybrid, wish it did better off road.
The fact it goes electric when you go off the brakes help save gas. It is good on long rides. The sound system is alright but could be upgraded. It is a good size car for what it is used for. Wish it would be more of an off road kind of car. Overall pretty pleased with the car itself.

Great highlander for family driving!
Vehicle handles wonderfully. Zero issue with driving in any season. Safety features are great and something we were watching for as we have two small children. Gas mileage is comparable in the idea of having 6 cylinders. There is quite a bit of get up and go without any unnecessary jerking around. Little road nose and a nice stereo system that comes stock.

We have had trouble with the running boards, and air conditioning. The ac unit seems to have a long delay starting yet they claim it is normal nothing wrong with. It is comfortable for long trips with plenty of legroom. Fits six tall adults comfortably. Love the backup camera system.

I love my highlander - easy to drive & tons of space!
I love my highlander. Have had 2 highlanders now and I especially love how easy it is to drive and how smooth the car is. It also has the 3rd row of seats and a mirror just above the rearview mirror to see the kids as you are driving. There is plenty of space in the trunk and even storage compartments in the trunk area.

Broken Toyota highlander car.
This is my second highlander. The first one I had for 10 years and never had a problem. This one has had something wrong with it since it was brand new and the dealer has not been able to fix it since it is sporadic. When turning it makes a horrible clunking noise.

It is a great car. Well built and thought out. Perfect for a single person, a couple, or a family.
I like the comfort of the vehicle. It has plenty of room for 4 people. I do not like the mileage range after fueling up. I drive many miles and would prefer to not have to find a gas station on the time

Reliable and efficient for the price.
Thumping noise from under the car on drivers side. I have taken this to the dealer and they cannot find the problem. Other than that I do not have any problems. The highlander is very reliable it gets good mileage and is dependable. Ido wish I had gotten more now available. I need the navigation system updated but it is expensive. They told me at the dealer it would cost up to $400.

Plenty of room in the third row passenger seats. It is very comfortable.

The highlander is a great family car. It is really comfortable to drive with kids.
Very comfortable and easy to drive. I feel confident driving my kids around in it. It is a good size, not too big and bulky that it is annoying to park but not too small that I cannot carry anything in it that I need to. I recommend it overall and will likely continue purchasing updated models of the same vehicle in a few years.

This Toyota highlander is great for families or even loads of supplies.
It's a big enough car for a full sized family. It fits my family of 5 and it has seats in the back to hold, at most, 3 more. It comes equipped with a small movie projector. There's plenty of trunk space and if needed, the passenger seats can be brought down for more room. There's a fair amount of compartment space including behind the front seats and on the doors. There's a total of 10 cup holders, 2 in the drivers area, 4 in the passenger area doors, 2 in the pull down portion of the middle passenger seat, as well as 2 in the trunk passenger seats. There is a large coin holder for change as well as a sunglass holder above the rear view mirror.

The Toyota highlander-performance plus!
The highlander is like driving a car in a SUV body. The ride is smooth, it performs well on the highway, back roads or anywhere you drive. One of the best features this car offers is the snow mode. Living in St. Louis presents with many opportunities in the winter months to use this more. When I used it for the first time, I was amazed how well the highlander handled in snowy conditions. I have to go to work, regardless of the weather, so this feature makes my life easier! The interior is beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Options to put seats down to increase trunk space is a great feature. From performance to style, e highlander is a winner.

It is a very safe and reliable vehicle with many comforts.
It's a great vehicle. It provides a smooth riding experience. Leather seats, seat warmers, Bluetooth, navigation, moonroof, and XM radio are just a few of the amenities.

Safety features highlander.
It has all the latest features as far as safety is concerned, a smooth ride, enough seating. . Individual ac and heat controls, heated and cooled seats. . Sun roof. .

Awesome vehicle so glad I purchased
Very comfortable and roomy. Rides great and plenty of added features. Handles smoothly. Love the entertainment package and the towing package as well the sunroof .heated seats in the winter are a plus. The movie watching is a must on long trips with the kids

It is very reliable and safe. It drives good in the snow.
The car rides very nice. I have not had any problems with it. My only issue is for the money you pay to buy this car it should have more bells and whistles. I do not have the top of the line, but I don't have the bottom either.

Highlander review by a southern girl.
Never had a problem with it, performance is great, it is super reliable, and it is for sure comfortable! It is the best car I have owned! Love the backup camera, heated seats, sunroof,(and so does my dog)I would highly recommend a Toyota to anyone in the market looking for a car.

Overall highlander is a decent vehicle.
Reliable vehicle with good safety features. Good color combination, interior and exterior for our taste. Third row leaves something to be desired as it does not fit grown adults. Typically leave the third row down for extra storage in the trunk space.

The comfort of the highlander is the best I have seen.
My highlander is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. I'm 5'3' and some cars and SUVs are built too large for me. This one fits me perfectly. In fact, this is the 2nd one I have owned. Toyota's are the most reliable cars on the road. We've owned several and have never had one issue with any of them.

The vehicle is immaculate.
It is very comfortable, has Bluetooth connections for cellular cellular devices. Speakers are loud and great, and the air conditioning works great, too. There is backseat air conditioning, and lots of space in the very back of the car. There is three rows, middle, front, and very back. The windows are great.

Toyota highlander 2016 review.
Love the dashboard love the technology very reliable wish has mileage was better wish it was a little wider interior. Love the outside look 4wd good in snow great pick up and power very happy look to keep it another 4 years. Glad we went with the bucket seats for easier access to back.

Bells & whistles on our 2016 highlander.
It has as many of the bells and whistles as I need, such as heated seats, cruise control, Bluetooth, optional third row seating, and automatic trunk opener. The computer tells me when the air pressure is low in my tires. It is a very reliable vehicle and we have never had any major problems with it. Since it is a Toyota, it should retain its value.

Highlander review: perfect for kids.
Toyota vehicles have always been super reliable in my experience. Love the features on the 2016 highlander. The captain seats make the back row accessible and it is a great mid-SUV size vehicle for a growing family. Leather trimmed seats are perfect for young kids prone to spills.

Toyota highlander 2016 model overview.
My Toyota highlander runs nicely, the radio is easy to use, and the car has plenty of seats for carpool etc. I wish that the trunk was a bit bigger since I play lots of sports and like to travel. The interior is not how I like it to be although it can be changed. The car is comfortable to be in for long road trips.

Reliable family vehicle for you.
Does well on long road trips with a family of 4 or 5. Use it most for short drives to work, school, and store. I would buy it again. Reliable, good resale value. Do not love where the ac hits in the middle row or the last row. And the back row is hard for anyone besides children to sit in. Too narrow.
