The simplicity, reliability, and durability of a Prius

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

I love driving a Prius because I live in a city. The Drivability is great, for example the turn radius is very sharp so it makes for easy maneuvering around the city. The gas mileage is stellar, and it tells you how many mpg you're getting depending on how you're driving. I also love how smooth it drives, how easy it is to operate (there's a screen where you can control everything from the audio to the temperature at just the tap of a button), and it fits 5 people very comfortably. The trunk is also very spacious. The car itself is very reliable and durable(it's 14 years old and I've never had a problem with it).

Prius is amazing on gas and comfort!

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

My car is amazing on gas, has plenty of storage/trunk space, and is very comfortable. I would definitely buy another Prius. I have had some minor electrical issues and the car was in accident... But still worth it. I can drive around on $10 in gas a week (I do not commute too far however). I once drove from ri to me on $50 and I only had to stop for gas on the way back (after driving around for the weekend while in me). I do wish my car was a little more sporty/sexy, but I'd take it any day over a sporty v8 gas guzzler.

So trustworthy I've had two

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

I have had two 2005 Toyota Priuses- one unfortunately I lost in a hit and run, but both have treated me well for several years. I've never had one break down in any way on me, after having one for eight years and the second one for one year. Even after the wreck of the first, which was totaled, it was drivable home. The hybrid is also insanely easy to keep full of gas- usually takes me $12-15 to fill up my tank from nothing. Would definitely recommend.

Smooth ride fantastic gas Mileage!

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The gas mileage on this vehicle is amazing! It rides really smooth and quietly. Things I don't like about it. When you run the air conditioning or the heat it runs the battery down but not all the way down. It is difficult that when the headlight bulbs need to be changed you have to take off the whole front bumper. I also don't like that in order to replace the your brake light, you have to replace the entire back light fixture.

The Gas Preserver and Road Trip Essential .

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

Sometimes meter doesn't show up when car is started. Also, going over bumps and dips are a bit scary for the bumper. It is an older car, therefore, it is not the most modern looking compared to the latest Prius. The windows are huge and the sitting isn't as flexible. Noted: It is an extremely reliable car, great for road trips and amazing on gas.

My car is a spacious Toyota Prius, that is reliable and eco friendly

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The battery was expensive to replace but the ride is smooth. The car is quiet and very reliable. It turns on a dime and handling is ideal. The seats are comfortable but on long trips it's more for four people not five. The keyless start is my favorite feature because I don't have to dig for keys to get in or start my car.

The best thing about the car is how well it does on gas mileage.

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The problems consist of the dash occasionally does not work, bottom of car is so low it scrapes a lot of surfaces. The most annoying thing is that the breaks are very sensitive and the sound when reversing is very distracting. The seats are comfortable but I would prefer leather. The headlights go out occasionally.

Oldie but a goodie! 2005 Prius keeps on running!

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The engine of the car works great and has had no problems! Gas mileage is great even after 300,000 miles. Cosmetically the front and rear bumper are easy to damage and need repairs often. As long as you keep changing the oil regularly, it will just keep running and running. Really love this car!

Love my little OLD Prius. 250,000 miles and still going strong!

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

I have owned my Prius since 2005. It currently has 250,000 miles road time and still going strong. Averages about 50 miles per gallon. The main battery failed at 75,000 miles and both water pumps have been replaced otherwise very little repair has been required. Still have original brakes!

Great car! Super good on gas.

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

I love this car. I currently average 40+ miles per gallon. I drive the car every day. I have 50 minute drives to get my kids to their activities and this car is perfect for longer drives. It feels solid. It has enough acceleration. It has also been fairly easy to work on and maintain.

Love the Prius! Roomie, reliable, great gas mileage

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The Prius is roomie, very comfortable, reliable, gets 38 to 45 mpg. I can fit a whole bike in the back. It's like driving on a cloud. I had to replace both hybrid and auxiliary batteries that was less than $3,000 in total. This is the second used Prius I have owned and I love it!!

Useful Hybrid, Family Friendly

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The Toyota Prius is an exceptional hybrid vehicle. The double electrical battery extends your gas mileage to incredible lengths. The backup camera is one of the most up to date safety functions. The sleek design and functional compatibility allows you to go anywhere.

Phenomenal reliable vehicle!

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

This vehicle has been phenomenal. It gets amazing gas mileage, and I am very happy with the safety ratings as well. I can't get over how big it feels inside. It is a lot better than my last car as far as space is concerned. I would definitely recommend this vehicle.

I love my 2005 Toyota Prius even after all these years.

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

As long as you take it for the scheduled services, it is extremely reliable. The mileage on the highway is pretty good and ok in the city. With gas prices the way they are, you end up saving a lot. Deceptively large trunk too and the back seats fold down easily.

- Kat S

I love it so much. Need to replace battery.

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

The hybrid battery is dying. But it is a 2005. Other than that, it is an amazing car. Great on gas, very reliable, and has been with me for years. So I rather spent 600 to get the battery replaced then getting a new car. I love my car too much to replace it.

A low gas mileage and versatile media.

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

It's got really good gas mileage and it's very low maintenance. The interface could be better but it's an early model so you can't expect much. I wish you could do a firmware update on the GPS. There's 5 CD disc changer and a cassette deck which is nice.

Headlights on 2005 Toyota Prius

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

Left headlight goes out when I drive and I have to turn lights on and off to make sure I am driving with headlights. This is common problem with 2005 Toyota Prius. Love the mileage I get on car and not needing to fill up gas every week. I've saved money

Love my Prius, and would buy another one!

2005 Toyota Prius 5dr HB (Natl)

I love my Prius, to date the only real problem I have had in the 14 years of owning it is replacing the hybrid battery. The body is still in really good shape, no rust or anything and mechanically still runs like a champ! I would buy another Prius.
