An oldie but goodie 2009 Toyota Prius

2009 Toyota Prius Base

This car is environmentally friendly and gets about 45-50 mpg on the freeway. It looks sleek, runs quietly and has a great sound system that serves me well on long trips. Also has a backup camera to assist with reverse and has saved me many times in avoiding poles and other cars. I was Heartbroken when someone sideswiped my car running the pearlescent paint on the car door since I love the color so much.

Great overall commuter and family car

2009 Toyota Prius Base

My vehicle has 250 thousand miles on it so one problem I am having is that it tends to burn oil. I also had an issue with the horn where it went off and would not shut back off. Had to replace the horn. Other than that this car has been great. It gets great gas mileage and has normal maintenance. Since it is a Toyota fixed tend to be affordable.

Prius Fan od High Mileage and High MPG

2009 Toyota Prius Base

I love the gas mileage. It has been reliable except for changing the hybrid water pump twice; that affects the car and keeps it from running when it's time to replace. I have had the car for 218,000 miles now. I like how quiet it is, except when it transitions from electric to gas; sounds clunky. Otherwise, my next car may be a Prius again.

Long lasting and cheap on gas

2009 Toyota Prius Base

I love my Prius because it is great on gas mileage. If just traveling around town and to work I only have to fill up about once week. It run smoothly and even when there are mechanical problems the Toyota dealership is amazing to get it fixed. My last Prius I had until it had 300,000 miles on it and I hardly. Had any problems with it.

The Toyota Prius is reliable and is very accessible for the average driver.

2009 Toyota Prius Base

The gas mileage and safety features of the Toyota Prius ensure a smooth driving experience. Most models have backup cameras and great trimming in the inside to ensure no wind noise while driving. The car does have a slow pickup rate to get to freeway speed but generally the Prius is an amazing ride and very reliable.

Excellent gas mileage & roomy.

2009 Toyota Prius Base

My Toyota Prius gets excellent gas mileage & handles very well. It also has lots of little storage spaces in the front seats. For a small car it has quite the get up & go & has been very easy to handle in all types of weather. For a small car it is especially roomy & has a lot of leg room even in the backseat.

Excellent gas mileage. Design creates some blind spots when driving.

2009 Toyota Prius Base

Smoothest car I have owned, great gas mileage. Sometimes struggles in mountainous regions but great touring and commuting vehicle. Holding up good after 9 years with little maintenance. No major repairs besides regular checkups, tires, and oil changes. Headlights are a little difficult to change manually.

Sizeable Small, Mighty, and More

2009 Toyota Prius Base

It has plenty of room even though it looks small and very maneuverable with a good turning radius. Note that you cannot jump off another car with a Prius!! Aesthetically it has a problem with the siding coming a little bit unhooked from the back bumper. Does Not cause any prom lens, but doesn't look nice.

The Prius- where you have to push a button to park

2009 Toyota Prius Base

The Prius is very cost efficient in terms of both upfront costs as well as when it comes to gas. It has some trouble accelerating but overall it's a reliable vehicle and was a great first car choice. The console and joystick takes some time to get used to, but it's a very safe and comfortable car.

The Prius can actually look pretty cool when you tint the windows.

2009 Toyota Prius Base

The computer that controls the hybrid engine went out and cost a tone to replace. The base model is not that comfortable, it is also not very impressive as far as the interior is concerned. It is super reliable, drives very smoothly, and is fun to drive. I just wish that the interior was upgraded.

One of the first hybrids!

2009 Toyota Prius Base

Get great gas mileage. Love the design and hatchback. Have replaced the start up battery 3 times. Easy to leave the car running because it is so quiet. Hatchback convenient for loading groceries and etc. Small gas tank so save a lot of money because of that and the hi bred feature.

2010 Prius runs great but burns oil.

2009 Toyota Prius Base

I have owned other Prius' that were great, but this one burns oil. I have to frequently check the oil and top it up between oil changes. I bought it pre-owned, so maybe something happened with the prior owner, but burning so much oil seems to negate the lower fuel consumption.

Is the Toyota Prius a good car?

2009 Toyota Prius Base

The Prius is a very good hybrid car but the Prius lacks the power and energy. However, it provides good performance and makes up for in fuel efficiency. It helps me saving my money on gas. It is a smooth car to drive and comes up with cargo space than most cars its size offer.

Older but good hybrid car with good gas mileage

2009 Toyota Prius Base

The car is great on gas mileage and family comfortable to drive. It has had some mechanical issues but it was used and had the motor replaced. The backseat has a good amount of room in it for such a small car. The trunk/hatchback area also has a good amount of room in it.
