It's extremely safe, it gets good gas mileage, it's easy to drive. It holds up well in very bad wrecks, it's got a good safety record. Its comfortable to ride in. It has good technology to keep you safe.
The RAV4 Hybrid gets great gas mileage for the roominess it provides. I can fit my 10' kayak inside with the passenger seat folded. I am 6.7' And have plenty of headroom and visibility is also excellent.
I like the selection of colors. The Rav4 hybrid takes regular gas instead of premium. The Toyota RAV4 gets better mileage in city than on highway. The controls for the heat and audio system are very well designed and easy to access while seated in the car, even with a seat belt on.
I haven't found any cons in this vehicle yet. It does sit up higher and you can see further down the road in it. The heads up display is good. It would be nice if the car had heated leather seats tho.
One shortcoming of a hybrid vehicle is that the rear wheels are driven by the electric motor only. This makes it impossible to lock the drivetrain into 4-wheel drive mode. So I would not recommend the hybrid system if you do any trail driving.
The seat belts buckles in the back seat are a little hard to use - the middle one - when there are 3 adults seated in the back seat. I have not figured out how to unlock all of the door locks with my remote. I like to get into the front and back door on the drivers side.
The 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has an average owner rating of 4.67 out of 5 which ranks it #6 of 27 other Hybrid & Electrics.
