Smooth ride and very reliable. Gets pretty good gas mileage for a midsize, and it also has a third row. Really like the 4WD. Pretty alright sound system for stock speakers.
Although it isn't super technologically advanced, it's the perfect car for comfortable transportation.

The rav4: a perfect happy medium.
I absolutely love my car. Prior to this midsize SUV, I had a sedan. Unlike my little car, the rav4 has AWD which makes me feel much safer during the winter months. I find the car to be set up nicely including hands free calling as well as volume control and cruise control right on the steering wheel. It is reliable, safe, comfortable, and spacious. It also drives very smoothly!

Why the rav4 is the car for you.
This car is my very first car, so driving wise, it is perfect for first timers. It is roomy, it is runs extremely well, and it is a reliable vehicle. It is also comfortable, which is definitely important when it comes to long drives. It also comes with an aux cord, which gives you a lot of freedom when driving, like being able to listen to music and such.

Cargo area is the best to carry camping equipment.
It is reliable, good gas mileage, comfortable, powerful enough to drive a bit fast if needed. The 3rd row seats have been very helpful when taking trips with family and friends. The cargo area and pull down seats are spacious enough to carry all camping equipment and suitcases.

We expect our Toyota to last more than 200,000 miles!
Our 2011 Toyota rav4 is extremely reliable. It has approximately 140k miles and has had only minor engine maintenance needed. We are expecting it to last 200k+ miles. It is a simple car with basic, and now outdated features, but drives smoothly for its age. It was an affordable purchase in the small SUV market and we are pleased with its overall performance, even though it does not have the bells and whistles of newer models.

Great car for all seasons.
Spacious, great for camping, outdoor activities and long distance drives. The seats are comfortable but are fairly firm. I enjoy the roof rack for kayaks, the sunroof and 4wd for winter. The car performs well in snow and feels very safe. The car has been reliable for the last year and has only needed minor maintenance such as oil changes and filter replacements.

Best car for the money and great on gas mileage.
This car is comfortable, easy to maintain no low on gas mileage. It comes with tons of features. I have a moonroof which is great during the summer months. It has a thermostat which is great for summer and winter. The car easy heats & cools. If you want speed from sitting still, this vehicle has a v6 that has great pick up. It is actually hard to remember to keep it under the speed limit since it rides so easy. Maintenance has been a breeze. I have had no issues since I purchased it used 4 years ago.

No worries with the rav4.
Very reliable, comfortable car. Love the space in the back to transport things. My only issue with the rav4 is that I cannot fit 3 car seats in it. Luckily the space in the back allows me to keep the 3rd car seat in the back so it can be easily switched out. Regular maintenance has kept the car in good running order. I love that it is very dependable.

Love the reliability. I have never really need anything but basic maintenance. It is basic in design but has all the basic comforts you expect. For an SUV the gas mileage is great, can get far on a tank of gas. Overall a great vehicle for the cost, with upgrades available for added comfort and style.

Excellent value for money!
Truly no maintenance issues at all, which is so impressive as it is 9 years old. But the radio has had some issues, especially when it is cold. However, this is minor as there have been no mechanical issues. It is reliable and safe, though gas mileage could be better.

I love this car! Super comfy great gas mileage and easy to drive. I spend about $5,000 a year on it that includes changing the oil, rotating tires and any little things it may need. The biggest expense my car is going to need in the next 5-10 years is a new motor but it has over 200,000 miles on it.

The goldilocks of vehicles.
Other than routine maintenance, I have had no problems with my car. I feel comfortable in it, although I do wish the seats had a little more cushion. The fabric feels kind of cheap, but it does not bother me. I love the size of the vehicle. I am not tall so driving a gigantic vehicle would not be comfortable for me. The rav4 is the right size for me. My car is reliable and I love how much space it has. I am always surprised at how much I can fit in my vehicle.

It is not as roomy as it looks.
The car is really good. It is okay on gas mileage, but sometimes it does get a little pricey trying to fill it up. The last row of seats has no legroom and each row only fits two people. I don't like how hard I have to push the doors for them to close sometimes.

Rav4: the perfect adventure car.
My rav4 is reliable. I live in Wyoming and am extremely outdoorsy! My rav keeps me safe in snow storms, and on back roads! I wish it had 4 wheel, and not just all wheel, but with snow tires it is the perfect car for every activity I want to do. Also, the rav can fit an incredible amount of gear inside of it!

My opinion of my family vehicle 2011 Toyota RAV4 4.
I wish it had Bluetooth capability but overall I love how it rides smooth. Maintenance is very affordable. I noticed the brakes are going out on it 2 times in less than 2 years which is a downfall. In 1. 5 years there has been 2 recalls on my vehicle as well. Overall though the vehicle is very reliable and affordable for me and my family.

Transmission issue at 110k.
This vehicle has worn pretty well. Although it has 110,000 miles on it and has a vibrating noise under the driver's side footwell. It is been diagnosed as the transmission, which is very disappointing because I thought Toyotas were supposed to last much longer.

Perfect sized crossover!
It has amazing trunk space. Full tire on the back which has been nice in the past to be able to put a full tire on and not a donut. There is plenty of room in the second row. It is a smooth ride and I haven’t had any issues since buying it in 2011. Gas mileage is good as well. 21-22 miles to the gallon.

I love the rich red color, leather seats, the sporty styling, and the get-up-and-go. I am disappointed that it does not have any of the bells and whistles I am used to, such as climate control, heated mirrors, electric seats, auto-adjusting rear view mirror. Also wish I had back-up camera and built-in gps.

Generic but good value, would buy again.
Things I like include: the size, the height above the ground, the fold down seats and spacious trunk, the spare tire. Things I do not like: the cloth interior (I replaced with leather), the generic look (everyone has one). Performance wise, this car is perfect. I have had no trouble despite its age.

The best vehicle I've ever owned!
I love my Toyota RAV4! This is the second Toyota RAV4 that I have owned because I like the safety features and smooth ride. My car has the tire on the back (which I think is awesome that it is a tire, not a spare) which allows room for storage underneath in the back. However, I am disappointed that mine is the last year that they apparently structured the RAV4 to have the tire on the back; instead it is stored underneath, taking away that extra storage. This would be the only feature I would want changed on future models.

Comfort and convenience in an economic package.
My rav4 performs and handles very well. The unexpected maintenance has been minimal and the routine maintenance is inexpensive. I like the handling of the rav4 and even use it for some back road camping. I particularly like the barn door in the back as it make loading and unloading easier given my height. I like the convenience of having the spare tire easily accessible on the back of the car versus having it buried in a trunk or attached beneath the rear of the car.

I love it! I have not had any issues yet even though it has a lot of miles on it. Only had to take it in for routine visits (oil changes, etc). Love the size of the car. Not too big and is not difficult to drive like a bigger vehicle might be but you can still pack a lot of stuff into it. It is great!

It's poorly made in comparison to any other vehicle I have owned.
My vehicle has had more issues than any other vehicle I have owned, including electrical issues and the paint started peeling off from all areas on the car after 3 years. The car was purchased new. I won't purchase another Toyota after this experience.

Older rav4 radio & speaker frustrations.
The Toyota 2012 rav4 is a great car with lots of space! I travel a lot and it is perfect for road trips and moving. It is very comfortable. It has heated seats, leather seats, and a sky roof! The only thing that I wish I would have known before I bought it is that it does not get the best gas mileage. Besides that, I have had little to no problems with it. My rav4 has 140,000 miles on it and it still runs like it is brand new! Because my car is an older model, I spent money to get a new radio with Bluetooth and new speakers because the speaker on the passenger side blew out and my phone does not have a aux cord plug in. That was quite frustrating but that is expected for an older car! The car is very reliable and I love it!!

The RAV4 is very reliable and dependable. Despite road noise, would recommend.
The only thing that I really do not like about our Toyota RAV4 is that is has loud road noise. We love how spacious the back of the vehicle is once the back seats are put down. Overall we are very happy with both the RAV4’s reliability and comfort. Performance is great, especially since we have the v6 version. Only real complaint is the road noise and that is easy enough to overlook.

Great car low gas will serve you well for many thousands of miles.
The rav4 is a good car it is easy on gas. Not the most comfortable auto for a long trip. Mine has a 6 CD player (which newer models no longer have). It does last a long time, I have tires for life as long as I get my service by Toyota. Which as I understand is no longer available.

This is my second Rav4. I still have the first one. It's a 2002 with 210,000 miles on it and it's still running. I like the size of the Rav4 and how the seats will go down so you can get large items in there. They are very reliable cars that last a long time if you take care of them. It is also a nice smooth ride considering it's an SUV.

Great family car, dependable, easy to drive.
Very reliable, has had alternator go out, and transmission may need replacing soon. Has taken us on vacation to California twice, and been great to handle at high speeds on the road. Ac has stayed cool all these years, and heater is great. Easy to drive, does not feel too big.

Great SUV for parents that is awesome on gas!
My Toyota RAV4 is great. It does really well with gas but still has plenty of room that's people typically look for in larger SUVS. It's the perfect balance between a large SUV and a sedan. There is so much room in the back trunk area which also has additional storage under the floor. The back seats lay down easily to fit larger items. The back row also is excellent for children's car seats.

I like that my RAV4 has been a reliable vehicle. A dependable car is great. I dislike that it doesn't have enough legroom for tall people to ride comfortably for very long with passengers in the back seat. With our son in his car seat, my 6'2" husband isn't comfortable in the front. I dislike that it doesn't warn me when I accidentally leave my headlights on. I dislike that it is a boring vehicle.

I have had no mechanical problems. It's very dependable and gets me through any snow we get, even if the road has not been plowed. We drive to Florida from Michigan & get great mileage. There is plenty of room inside. It's wide enough for my golf clubs to sit sideways.

Rav4 is a great car to own and drive.
I love how spacious it is both in the front and the back seating area. It also has the cargo compartment in the back under the mat which makes extra room for things I always carry with me. It is easy to drive and handle and I love both the interior and exterior and am proud to own it. I have had no problems with it from day 1 and the color silver is a great color and hides dirt.

Great SUV for moms of 2 kids.
I love my rav4! Fits both of my kid's car seats comfortably with plenty of room in the back for a bulky double stroller, diaper bag and more. I love the back hatch opening to the side instead of up because I sometimes have trouble lifting my arms up over my head from an old injury. Handles great in the snow and rain as well.

Rav4: a reliable, simple workhorse.
It is very reliable. Haven't had and major functionality issues or major repairs. Comfortable to drive and has the basic features (automatic locks, automatic windows, keyless entry). I particularly like the layout of the cruise control on the vehicle. It is very user friendly. The construction is solid. Nothing on it feels cheaply made. The engine does not have quite as much pick up as I would like, however that is to be expected on a 4 cylinder vehicle. The gas mileage is pretty reasonable for a vehicle of it is size. I never worry about the vehicle being a reliable mode of transportation. It does provide some peace of mind. I feel like as long as you do the regular maintenance on these cars, they will last you for years and years to come.

Toyota rav4, generations of excellence!
2nd hand car, needed some repairs on the 120k mile mark. Comfortable and large sized interior. AWD, roof rack addition, large truck for luggage and adventure equipment car is reliable and fuel mileage is about 23-27 miles/gal. My model has the basic inside trim. Bluetooth addition being considered as replacement. Overall vehicle has a good reputation, comfortable and reliable.

Toyota rav 4 I wish Toyota would bring back the tire on the door.
It is a SUV that drives like a car. I am a girl scout leader of troop 604 and it was great taking the girls camping with their gear.. Toyota rav4 up to 2012 have the spare tire on the outside of the back door so you do not have to empty the trunk if you get a flat tire to change it but with the cover that looks like the rest of the car. It gets great gas mileage and at this time it cost $30 to fill up. The only real complaint is the keys it is partially mental and the top is the alarm and locks.,I have to replace the keys 3 separate times in the last 5 years.

Very dependable first car.
Toyota rav4's are super reliable. I got mine when I was sixteen as my very first car. There's plenty of room in the trunk for transporting supplies or moving into a college dorm. The 2011 does not have Bluetooth capabilities or a touch screen, but these are easy to sacrifice. The aux cord port easily fixes this. The only real complaint I have is that the ac/fan are nearly just on or off despite having four settings because the fourth setting is basically monsoon level and the third is barely blowing.

Toyota rav, the smartest purchase I have ever made!
Purchasing my Toyota rav was a absolutely, the best decision I have made. I live in Montana where the weather changes suddenly. One side of the valley is sunny, the other in snow. It has all the room. Of a large SUV but without being a giant car. My favorite feature is the trunk door, opens like a car door. I have driven across Montana, to.Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. I have never had a problem with my rav. The next automobile I purchase, will undoubtedly be a Toyota! Excellent gas mileage, roomy, multifunctional, and fun to drive!

2011 Toyota rav4 - great car for a traveling young adult.
The car is super comfortable and reliable. Good size, I like being up off the ground and having great storage space but not having too large of a vehicle. I wish the gas mileage was a bit better though, because I drive from Cincinnati to Cleveland and fill the tank up as soon as I leave and then must do it again immediately upon arriving.

Great car, but bad paint.
I love my RAV4. It has a very smooth ride. It goes AMAZINGLY well in bad weather. It went through 19' of snow this past winter without ever even spinning a tire. I have never had it fail me. My only negatives are: I wish that it was bigger & sat higher up off of the ground and it has quite a bit of peeling paint on the roof. I had the roof repainted by the dealership and the new paint peeled off within 6 months. This has happened twice. I'm getting ready to have the roof painted for a 3rd time.

The Toyota RAV4 is a great vehicle!
My RAV4 is a pretty great small SUV, it has pretty good fuel economy. Its small enough that I don't feel like I am driving a tank but big enough that anyone riding in my car has leg room. It's easy to drive and has 4 wheel drive so I can get out of most situations like lots of snow or really rough terrain. My only drawback is that its a 4 cylinder and it shows because it can get moving quickly but after 60 it slows down and just takes a while to go any faster but other than that it's a great all around vehicle and if you get in an accident it is pretty good.

The rav4 tire cover problem.
I have a rav4 that has served me well but at this point things are starting to fall off, the wheel cover for the back tire loosened on it is own and dislodged and fell off somewhere. It was a devil to get something to cover it because it wasn't easy to find.

Rav4 - convenience and safety for families on a budget.
It is very reliable but the acceleration is not very good. Handles kind of clunky at times. Not a tremendous amount of room with a car seat either but we're able to manage. There are not really a ton of bells and whistles either, just a multi disc CD changer so I feel like even in 2011 this was very much a budget vehicle.

Best affordable SUV to drive in.
I love that my vehicle has leather seats and GPS navigation built in. The car is reliable and very cost efficient on fuel. In the summertime the ac is strong enough and in the winter the heat is very effective. I haven't had any major problems with it for the past few years.

This is the second rav 4 I have had. It has been very dependable and has required little repair. No problems lots of power very spacious love driving low gas I bin to big bear ca gas about 30 dollars very good car the trim sport plus the sun roof love the different car colors mi is blue and I am the 3 owner on this car very low miles like how drivers when pushing the gas it takes off the engine is very quiet no problems on the act like other cars that turn on ac and engine starts rattling.

Rav4 recap great long term purchase.
The car has great reliability and we have had to put minimal work into it. Gets us where we need to go especially in the winter. We greatly appreciate the 4 wheel drive and traction control. Not the best sound system but works. Really no frills but this means less technology to break.

It drives good and has lots of trunk space.
My car drives great but it has 150,000.. Miles. I wish it had navigation and heated seats. It gets great gas mileage.

Reliable, resourceful, and ready to go at all times,
The Toyota rav4 has always been reliable. I cannot think of any problems I have ever had with it. I get good gas mileage, usually about 25 mpg, which is better than my previous vehicle. However, the tank is somewhat small so I have to fill up at least once a week. It is comfortable to drive and ride in on long rides and has lots of space and storage in the back. I know most newer vehicles have Bluetooth capability, but I love the aux cord. I also have the four wheel drive option, which is nice for snow or muddy locations, and the four wheel drive has always been reliable. Even though I have an older model of the vehicle, it still looks great on the inside and outside.

Good car and very reliable also safe.
I have not had any problems so far and I have had it a while. There was a hose issue but that was a simple fix. I feel this car is very reliable and I do like it. I have cloth seats and a sub roof, it is a 4x4. I do wish I had four wheel drive but it went amazing in the snow in Nc. It is pretty comfortable decent size back seat and good back space for luggage. I do not like the gray seats though I wish they were a different color. All in all I like my car.

Toyota rav4 you will not regret.
It is very reliable, I haven’t had any major problems with my car. The car is super roomy and seat are comfortable. I do not spend a lot on gas and it is last long as well I would definitely buy a rav4 if you are looking for this style of car. My car is high in mileages right now but still it is pushing along with no problems.

It's spacious and great for a family of four. I have two kids and it's a great car for it.
I love how easy it is to drive. It's kept me safe the last seven years. And it gets decent mileage. Also the storage is great now that I have two kids.

Awesome car, user friendly.
The car is very good. Easy to drive, easy to maintain. Great gas mileage. The interior is nice and comfortable. Love it. The only problems I have had is a consistent shaking problem. The axils in my car are not aligned. Other than that I love the car.

It is reliable. I trust that my car will be able to go wherever I need to.
My RAV4 has been very reliable. It has held up with mainly just routine maintenance. It is big enough to fit 4 comfortably, but small enough to be easy to maneuver. I'm not a big fan of the back opening right to left versus a typical trunk.

Love this rav4. Very reliable and easy to keep up with.
My vehicle is comfortable, has no technical issues so far, was bought used at 80,000 miles and still works amazing. I get the oil changed regularly and that is the only changes needed. I would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable car that does not require a lot of work.

Wonder machine. Good quality stereo system and reliable transportation.
Overall it is a good truck. It is very reliable and the maintenance is good. Easy to handle in bad weather conditions and bad roads. Very good engine. Good on tires and brakes. Very roomy also, nice size seats and legroom. Let's you know when would need to be changed or checked, tires also.

I believe that you will be very happy with the reliability and great gas mileage.
I bought this car new and have never had a problem with it. It has great gas mileage and plenty of room for my entire family. One of my favorite things is the storage though.

Positives: reliable, logical button placement; sunroof, good technology for 2011--backup camera, 3.5mm audio jack, 6-CD changer, dash info LCD display, smart-key access system, push-button start; powerful v6 engine, folding rear seats, good footroom, metallic paint. Negatives: 5-speed transmission, unsightly tire on rear side-hinged door, no USB audio port or navigation.

Comfortable & affordable family vehicle.
My Toyota rav4 is comfortable, reliable and has good gas mileage. The cloth seats and adjustable steering wheel allows me to drive comfortably, and I am a plus-sized driver. This vehicle's handling is smooth and transitioning from one lane to another is easy. Also, the sound system is powerful and adapts easily with my aux cord. The back seat cup holders make it easy to transport my niece and nephew during hot days. When driving on the highway, acceleration is done with ease. Sometimes I speed without realizing it because of the smooth acceleration of the rav. The trunk of my car is large enough to fit my aunt's wheelchair, groceries and school supplies. There is also a separate compartment located in the trunk where I keep my important papers. The back seats can also be laid down to allow extra trunk space for transferring larger items. The console between the front seats allows me to keep small items like credit cards, house keys and spare change as well as larger items like CDs, lotion, hand sanitizer and phone chargers. My cell phone may be charged from the console underneath the CD player or in the console between the front seats. Overall, Toyota rav4 is a comfortable and affordable midsize vehicle.

Storage room and adjustability.
I really like my rav4. It gets good gas mileage. Very few repairs have had to be made on it. There was a factory recall for peeling paint, and I have to call to make an appointment to get that taken care of. It is very comfortable for long road trips. I am 5’0” tall and my husband is 6’2” tall and it adjusts perfectly for both of us to be able to drive. It also has plenty of room for cargo, especially when the back seat are laid flat. We moved our daughter and everyone was surprised by how much we could fit in the back of our little rav!!

My Toyota rav4 is a great and reliable car. It has stuck with me since I bought it new. It has an efficient and big fuel reserve. It is seats are nice and comfortable. It has a four wheel drive and I would recommend it to someone else as their first car.

It is durable- no problems after 7 years! The vehicle is built to last.
I like how well the Rav4 handles the winter weather. It is now 7 years old and have not had a single problem, but do take it in for regular maintenance.

Great reliable mid-size SUV.
Our 2011 rav4 has been very reliable - no maintenance besides regular services such as oil changes and did get new brake pads. The seats fold down easily for extra space and the extra space in the trunk under the floor (where a spare tire normally is) surprisingly fits a lot of things. Big enough for the SUV feel but not too big to feel difficult to drive or park.

Rav4 is a great buy but expect to replace the tires sooner than normal.
The 2011 Toyota rav4 sport is a great vehicle. It has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. The run flat tire the vehicle came with are the only setback I can say about the car. I had to replace them sooner than regular tires. Other than that, the rav4 has not given me any problems.

I love my car and I haven't had any major problems. It is a smooth ride and very spacious for a family of four. I would recommend this car to anymore who is in the market for a small SUV. I haven't had any major problems with the vehicle and no recalls.

Still going strong after 9 years.
My rav4 is nearly a decade old but runs just as well as it did when I bought it — even with an hour-long daily commute in the southwest summer heat and annual road trips across multiple states. I know I can rely on it to get me home safe, and my next vehicle will definitely be a Toyota.

Toyota RAV4 is a great car.
My RAV4 is super reliable, it has never broken down, it drives very smooth and is nice and quite, it gets good gas mileage, it is comfortable to drive, it has lots of room in the back, it handles well in all weather and when there is ice and snow on the road, and I love the storage in the back.
