My Toyota Rav 4 was intended as my forever vehicle and was meeting my expectations until the rear hatch motors both burned out. I’m not willing to spend the $2000 to replace. With very low mileage and certainly not abused I would not recommend this vehicle as a forever car.

2017 rav4 review - lacking features.
Haven't had any performance issues with the 2017 rav4. It is comfortable and drives well. What I am most disappointed in with this vehicle, is the lack of features for the price. Most other cars come standard with items that Toyota charges a surcharge for.

2017 Toyota rav4 se review.
My Toyota rav4 is my favorite car I have ever owned. It has plenty of space in the front and back seats and also in the trunk, but it is still compact enough that it is easy to drive. It has leather seats, which are convenient for cleaning after my dogs ride in the car, but they do get hot in the summer. It also has heated seats for winter. It offers XM radio, which I do not currently use, but it is nice to have the option. It also offers Bluetooth connection and navigation through an app you must download and connect to.

This vehicle has no problems. It is the smoothest ride ever especially on long distance driving. Love the way it lets me know I streamed over the divider line. The auto break is great. I enjoy that I can have hands free driving and listen to my calls.

Good, reliable car for all your needs.
I have had my Toyota rav4 for nearly two years now. It works well, and everything about it is still in tip-top shape. The seats are very comfortable, although they tend to heat up quickly when sunlight shines on them. That is why I had to get sun shields recently; the front seats can get quite hot in the summers. Although previously my ac would never leak water, recently it has also started leaking, right under the passenger seat. It worries me that something is happening to the car, but overall it still drives smooth and fine. I rely on the car for my daily needs, going to work, picking up my family members. There is a built in camera for when you are parking your car, so you can see what's going on behind you better (as well as directly in front of your car). I find that very helpful because my old car never had that feature. The Bluetooth feature connects with my iPhone and allows me to listen to music while driving. All in all, the car is perfect for me.

Great features for a great price.
I have absolutely no complaints. Its performance is excellent. I have had no issues. I have had the vehicle for 3 years and aside from routine maintenance, I have only had to have one headlight bulb replaced. It is very reliable. Very comfortable ride. Goes great in snow. Excellent safety features-the backup camera picture is very crisp and clear. The seatbelt reminder makes it so that you must wear your seatbelt, which is good for passengers who do not like to wear them. It is a smaller SUV, but very roomy. The storage in the back is great for groceries and moving small pieces of furniture. The roof rack bars are great. I actually moved a king sized mattress with my vehicle, so it is very versatile.

Toyota rav4 experience explaining.
No problems yet other then the air conditioning shuts off on its own. Comfortable but be careful of sharp turns. The vehicle has a warning it may turn over going to fast on turns. Reliable car but like every car keep up with its maintenance. Spacious enough for any family.

Fairly comfortable, and I have never had any problems mechanically. All around great car. I expect my rav4 to last me at least another few years, and I have no intention of replacing it any time soon. If you get it, you probably will not be disappointed.

Perfect car for a growing family!
I am very pleased with my Toyota rav4. This is my second time owning a rav4. I have always been impressed with the reliability and comfort. The back seat is spacious and comfortable for three passengers. The ease of installing a car seat in this vehicle has also been very easy. The hatchback provides plenty of space for groceries, strollers and large purchases. This has been the perfect car for my growing family. My Toyota rav4 is a great vehicle is safe to drive in the snow I have it for two years now and have no issues at all, I just do the normal maintenance and the performance is wonderful is easy to drive, constable and economic with the gas. Has the safety features, I recommend it 100% and I will buy again.

Very reliable and spacious vehicle that is great for daily use.

Rav4 - dependably gets you where you want to go.
Reliable performance, so far. Have done recommended services on time. Basic trim - no leather, heated seats, expanded audio or safety features. Utilitarian vs 'prestige' vehicle. Would have liked to buy with tow package but that was not available at the time I bought the vehicle.

Best affordable car for any budget household.
It is been pretty reliable with minimal maintenance needed outside of the scheduled oil change etc since purchasing and it performs great. Seats and seat covers are very comfortable and features make the usage that much better. It does help that there’s support from Toyota as well with regular reminders of servicing.

Auto dimming bright lights on 2017 rav4!
I love it so far! Just bought it a few weeks ago and it already surpassed my expectations. I love that it has auto bright lights feature - didn't know that was a thing. The lane depart feature and backup camera are nice as well. I love being able to connect my phone over Bluetooth.

Great car for a big family.
Great car, a lot of space for a family of five. Great for long trips bikes or groceries. Runs smooth, never had a problem with it. I like how easy it is to play music using the wheel or to talk. It is big and spacious. Only thing I do not like is that the rear door will not open or close on its own.

Nice SUV that is affordable but expensive to insure and poor gas mileage.
The biggest issue is that for small/mid size SUV is the gas mileage is not good at all. I average 28 miles to the gallon. Other than that I love the size and storage options. It is cheap to upkeep as far maintenance. I love the body style and it is a smooth drive.

The park assist cameras provide a level of comfort to my parking.
I love my Toyota rav4. The seats are comfortable, easy to adjust, and heated, which is not necessary but is convenient. I get decent gas mileage on the interstate, and the cruise control adjusts if the person in front of me is driving under the speed limit. The park assist and side cameras make me a more confident driver.

Super reliable vehicle that can tackle anything.
Super reliable no issues so far. Car handles very well on all road types. AWD function is great as well. Push button to close trunk door is great as well. Hood tends to shake a little when driving at higher speeds but no present issue. Definitely would recommended to anyone looking for a crossover type vehicle.

Excellent well-rounded car.
I have been driving my Toyota for three years now. I haven’t had many issues with it. It is comfortable, safe, and reliable. I live the Bluetooth feature that allows me to connect music and phone calls to the car. I also like the idea eco mode that the car has. The mpg on the car is about 25 mpg average which I like.

No problems! I love the reliability and comfort of my vehicle. It has a very simple design which I love but it has ways that you can personalize it. I also love the space I have two big dogs so having that space for them and other items much a huge difference!! I have been able to take long road trips with no worries about my vehicle!

Toyota rav4 reliability and comfort.
I absolutely love how it drives and it is really spacious. I haven’t had any problems with it this far and it seems very reliable. It has Bluetooth connection to my phone, backup camera, and can tell me to brake if I am too close to a car. My seats are not leather but I actually like that better.

Dog mom's perfect vehicle.
Great mileage, very reliable and versatile. Great for transporting pets. As I am able to lay the back seat flat to where it extends the back for enough room for 2 large dogs to ride in comfort. Have not had any significant maintenance issues aside from routine services. Perfect height for my elderly mother to get into with minimal assistance.

The Toyota rav4 is an amazing car and I would highly recommend.
There have not been any issues with the car so far, even though we have had it for three years now. Absolutely in love with my rav4!
I just bought my car 3 months ago. I love how roomy the front and back seats are. It drives very smoothly. Heat and ac kick on very quickly! I bought my car with leather mats for front, back. And trunk area. I found this help keeps the car extra clean. The back folding seat is great. I am finally able to move bigger objects when needed. The radio lets you set over 20 preset channels making it easy to scroll through the radio while driving. Backup camera is large and very clear!

Comfort over electronics!
I love the comfort and space of my vehicle. I didn't like that the base model only has cloth seats and paid extra to have leather put in. After a couple of years driving my vehicle, it still runs great however have had some issues with the electronics in the car.

Great car even with outdated electronics.
This car drives smooth and has the get up and go that a smaller car has. I love the heated seats and the lumbar support. Oh, and the different camera views of the car help so much with parking! The only thing I wish was different is the entertainment/navigation system, since it is a little outdated.

Our vehicle is great for small families.
We have really enjoyed our rav4. It drives well in the snow which is essential for living in co. There is a lot of space in the car as well which is great since we have a son. The trunk is spacious as well. All of the controls are easy to figure out and it drives very smoothly. We love our back up camera as well and it guides us to ensure proper parking. It also detects if someone else is driving too close to you which is an excellent safety feature and also alerts you when you have gone outside your lane. The only problem we have had is getting the mic to work when talking through the cars phone speaker feature.

Most have for young professionals.
It is a very economic choice. Plenty of spaces. It is super helpful when you moving. It fits 5 cu. Freezer, TV sets, computers and luggages at the same time. Good for road trips. You can adjust the temperature of the front seats and it is perfect for winter time.

Fun to drive and easy to care for.
This car is reliable. I have had to fix the usual new tires and battery. Nothing that is not unexpected when owning a vehicle. It is easy to drive and care for. I am able to use my cell phone with my car. I also have found the seats and rugs are easy to clean. I have also had no issue finding replacement parts.

Rav4 is great despite vent odor.
I love being seated higher (than a sedan), the safety and convenience features, and the reliability. I wish I had gone with a hybrid version though for all the driving I do. I wish it drove a little smoother and had more power (similar to my Camry hybrid). The only problem I have is during the summer months when a/c is running an unpleasant odor comes from the vents. It is a little better if you do not use the recirculate air setting, but since that is the default when you turn on the a/c you have to remember to turn off recirculate every time.

That it's got the best backup camera and parking camera out there. You can fit in any spot. Love that I can have it auto turn on when I am pulling into spots so you get the 360 view of your car in the spot
Love that it is hybrid. The gas mileage is amazing and I can still fit my larger dogs in the back. Things I don't like is the seats are kind of narrow. I went from a highlander and the seats are not as comfortable for long trips

Customizable details that make me love my car.
I am obsessed with my rav4. I upgraded the model to come with push to start ignition, blind spot detection and a back up camera and all these features are what make the car so comfortable. I also chose to get the light tan interior and I think it looks so classy and elegant.

It's such a nice smooth car to drive. I able to see very well, it's not too big or too small. You won't be disappointed. It's very spacious especially the leg room & back trunk. Reliable and spacious budget friendly car.
My car has been giving really good service since I first got it. The wheels have good grip on them which helps me a lot, especially in winter times or during rain. The seats have enough leg space which enables me to comfortably drive the car. Even the passenger seats in the back have good space. I did not add extra set of seats in the far back and used the extra space for trunk space and honestly, it was a great decision. It has a very spacious trunk area.

I am not satisfied with this vehicle, ever since we bought this car, we ran into so many issues. Especially the front driver tire has been giving lots of problems. 1st time. Driver tire needed patch. Few days later aired filled and in another month patched again. We've replaced batteries twice!

Sometimes the high beam headlights do not work. The seats are comfortable. It has a lot of safety features. There are a lot of ports for charging. It is nice that the backseat reclines. It is good on gas and can go awhile without maintenance. It accelerates smoothly.

Good features, need bigger engine.
Everything is nice with all of the new features (screen, backup camera, lane assist, auto high beams, auto adjusted cruise)..The only thing I’d like is a larger motor. The 4cyl engine just is not quite enough as I drive in the mountains of Colorado quite a bit.

Great roomy, easy to drive mid size SUV.
I have no problems with this car. It runs great and gets good gas mileage. It is comfortable to ride in on long trips. Has good space for luggage. The sound system is good and has lots of options for satellite radio and you can fit the Toyota radio app to add more selection. The AWD holds the road in slippery conditions.

It's a little old now so it makes a weird sound when I drive but overall its good and its excellent on gas. I did get it used so that might contribute to the deterioration of it right now. It is very reliable and I know it won't break down, it also has four wheel drive and is good on uneven terrain.

Rav 4 good reliable car with many good features.
I own a 2017 rav 4 XLE with 4 wheel drive. I purchased this vehicle about a year ago as a used certified vehicle. The certified designation insured that the vehicle has need inspected to Toyota and state standards. This also gives you the option to get an extended warranty which I did (100,000 miles). The vehicle has performed beautifully so far with no trouble. It gets approximately 22 mi/gal. I like that the synthetic oil will go 10k miles without changing. I do wish I had the automatic door hatch in back- it would be helpful. The car handles very well in both highway & city driving. The four wheel automatic engagement gives you peace of mind in the snow. The 4 cylinder engine and 6 speed transmission are well matched and deliver good performance.

Backseat and trunk are very spacious.
I love how the back seats recline and there is plenty of room for bigger people. It is also great for family trips. The trunk is also very roomy. A huge stroller and $150 in groceries fit just fine in the back. There is also and option to fold down the back seat in two sections.

No problems at all. Great on gas I keep it eco. Does not have get up and go when in eco. But still love it. However heating vents are cheap plastic that bends when you adjust them my heating/cooling dails get stuck. Had them replaced and still does same thing.

My RAV4 is sporty and fun to drive while still being efficient.
I love my car. It's more fuel efficient than I expected - crossovers usually get like 20 mpg, I get between 27 and 31 depending on what kind of driving I'm doing. It's spacious, comfortable, and the trunk is so much bigger than I expected. The pick-up is nice, the stereo is great, the display is easy to read. I love the hands-off bluetooth capabilities. The A/C and heat both kick on quickly. I LOVE the all-wheel drive, especially in the winter.

Silver 2017 Toyota rav4 safety and reliability.
The limited Toyota rav4 2017 model is a very reliable and safe car. I have had it for nearly 2.5 years. So far, it has been very dependable. I have had no problems with the engine, transmission, or any other part of the vehicle. In fact, the vehicle is great because it has road line detection, crash detection, blind spot indicators, and a backup camera with a moving car indicator. The only critique I have would be to add backup detection sensors.

My Toyota gets very good gas mileage, about 25-28 miles per gallon. It rides smooth. I have had no performance issues with the vehicle. When I take the car in for regular maintenance Toyota has had it in the shop done the maintenance and finished the work within an hour. They are very good about explaining the work they have done on the vehicle. They answer my questions and make sure that I clearly understand what they have done to my car. I would recommend Toyota to anyone looking for a new car.

The Toyota rav4 is extremely reliable and has great features. I love the butt warmers in the front two seats. The moonroof is a great feature to have. However, the back seats do not have air conditioning units and it is upsetting.

The RAV4 is a hy-bred that get good gas mileage, especially for a mid size SUV.
I like the gas mileage of a hy-bred. The safety features are great. The color isn't exactly what I would have picked, but much better than the normal picks. So far everything is working good, but there was one minor problem that cost me $20 to find out the dealership couldn't find anything on a auto purchased new.

Great Toyota rav4 for everyone.
Great car. It handles amazing and the traction in the snow is amazing. The interior is great as well. I highly recommend this car and wouldn't hesitate to get another. The safety features are amazing as well. Blind spot had saved me a bunch of times. Spot on safety.

My vehicle is a Toyota rav4 2017 all black. Enough space I said before.
The only problem I have is that the car material is not that good, easily dented. What I do like about the car is that it has a lot of space. The warning are very helpful for beginner drivers. The adjustable driver seat is great, goes up really tall for short people, and super low for tall.

My Rav4 is so reliable. I never have to worry about it breaking down on me.
It's reliable, cute, and roomy. Great car for a small family. Lots of room in the trunk. It could use more automatic features.

It is a great SUV but maybe not a great family car.
It is a comfortable SUV with many features. It is not as spacious as a highlander but still has a lot of space in the trunk. It has lane detection, collision detection and headlight sensors. It also has parking assistance which is very helpful. It is not as great on gas as you would think although its hybrid.

Sporty rav handles well and is fun to drive in all conditions.
It is a fun car to drive. It has reasonable gas mileage, has good acceleration, and is sporty. It has a sunroof. The interior is pleasing to the eye. I find the navigation very helpful and I use it frequently. It handles really well in most weather conditions. I do wish that it had side mirror blind spot indicators. It alerts me if I am over a lane or am too close to a car. It is very reliable.

Best car I have owned in my life.
I love the leather interior, back up camera and self closing trunk. It has been very reliable and always performs great! The tinted windows also make it very nice visually. When I drive it is extremely smooth and very quiet, especially on bumpy roads in my area. Smooth turning and control. Heated seats make it very comfy in the winter with the added bonus of heated mirrors.

There is a lot of legroom in the front and back seat.
The care is very reliable and great in the winter. I do not worry about driving in bad weather with this car. The back up camera is great and very helpful. I do not the light on the car. It can make driving at night more difficult than it already is.

2017 Toyota rav4 - fun ride.
Love Toyota rav4. Smooth ride, lots of am amenities, comfortable ride, seating, roomie, get up and go, heated seats, heated steering wheel, leather interior, and all wheel drive along with the sleek styling look of the vehicle and for a wonderful car and fun ride to drive locally or to travel and have plenty of room to do all of the above.

Reliable car, love the little sunroof.
I got this rav4 to replace a 1999 one that I had for 17 years. This car is reliable, comfortable, and easy to drive. I think that the touch screen features are easy to navigate and taking phone calls is easy when my phone is hooked up to the car. I have never been able to use the voice commands despite trying to calibrate that numerous times, but that is okay with me because I do not need it that badly.

Decent family vehicle, needs some updates.
The infotainment system is very cluttered and not particularly user friendly. It drives fairly well, but the seats are very uncomfortable. The storage spaces could be more efficiently laid out. The materials within the vehicle have proven to be durable up until this point. The fuel economy is much worse than advertised.

Dependable and one of the features I like it the brake system.
I have never had any issues with my vehicle. It is very good on gas mileage and travels well. It lets you know if you are drifting off the road and helps prevent you from getting in accidents. All and all it has done us well. The sound system is very good and you are able to tether your phone and can make calls for you.

Great highway mpg for Toyota rav4 XLE.
The Toyota rav4 provides a great value for the money. It drives smoothly and gets great mileage (I often get 30 or more mpg on highways). Maintenance is also affordable. Trunk space is generous. The XLE model provides cloth seats and no heated options.

Very amazing! I have the advanced technology package that makes the experience with my car even better! It helps me to feel safe with my family in the car because I have the blind spot assist and also I have cameras on every side of my car. I would recommend this car to anyone!

Love my rav4. Would recommend.
I really enjoy owning my vehicle. The backup camera and sound is incredibly useful. Also really enjoy the indicator lights on the side mirrors and feel very safe while driving. The interior's very cozy and quiet and has a fantastic standard radio that can max effortlessly to my phone to play would have read rather through the radio.

My Toyota rav4 hybrid is a great family car that gets great gas mileage.
My car is very reliable. But the cup holders are too small and in the wrong places. There are not enough cup holders in the back seat. My car also gets great gas mileage. It could use more tint on the top of the windshield as the sun gets in your eyes easily.

Reliable car, not suited for big families.
My wife and I have owned this car for approximately three years and we love it. The car has about 45,000 miles and we have not had any issues with it. The only downside for this car for our family is that we now have two children and the car does not have much space for a growing family of four.

Amazing family and safety car.
Heated leather seats, back up camera, 360 cameras, super spacious in the back with a fold down cup rest, huge trunk. The rims are very sporty. Also it has a sunroof which I love! The leather seats are super comfortable even though if you are not running the air conditioner in the summer they will make you sweat.

It is a great overall car.
It is a great vehicle and has pretty good gas mileage. It is very comfortable and has very comfy seats. I like the lane departure feature too when I am drifting out of a lane. I also really like the sleek look it has. I wouldn't say there are any problems with it.

The feature that allows the car to remain between 1-3 car lengths away.
It does not have any problems yet. I find it to be very reliable transportation. Although for long trips the seats are somewhat uncomfortable. Gas mileage is not optimal but I usually have to fill it once every week going to and from work which is around 15 miles each way five days per week.

RAV4: The best car on the market!
I love everything about my RAV4. The space, speed, and reliability are far beyond what I could ask for! I have the base model and I love the comfortable seats. They lean back far and are great for long trips. The car also gets great gas mileage and is cheap to fill up!
