The little engine that did!
It is one of the best little cars around. Very good in reliability, performance, hardly any problems, good comfort and features.
accountCircle Noah S
It is a small two door hatchback with a surprisingly large interior space.
Gets great gas mileage. Has quite a bit of room on the inside. Lots of cup holders and storage cubbies. The back seat fold up easily and makes for a large cargo area for such a tiny car. I wish there were some attachments for rope or straps to secure the trunk of hauling large items that keep trunk from closing. Also I wish it was easier to change the headlights.
accountCircle Gabis S
It's really dependable and that's what I want from my car.
It is the best car I have driven. It's now old but still pretty good. No complaints whatsoever as it gives me a very good mileage, very low on maintenance.
accountCircle Jennifer V
Do not touch anything, I have an outlet plug in the back seat.
My vehicle is reliable. The perfect size for me. Everything I need.... What I dislike a reputation for being unsafe. Not fast enough. Heat does not work so well..

Yaris: a great investment.
The Yaris is an extremely reliable and affordable car. It is fuel efficient, easy to drive, and surprisingly roomy and comfortable. It is a small vehicle, but still has plenty of space for a family of four. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who wants to spend their free time traveling, and not repairing broken car parts.
accountCircle Elizabeth B
My Yaris is the very best!
I love this car. It is fun to drive and reliable. I do not have any problems getting parts for it. The dealers that I have had contact with have been helpful and took good care of my car. The car is comfortable in both the front seats and the back, and is roomy for a small car. I love the hatchback.
accountCircle Pat L
Comfy & safe, a joy to own.
My Toyota Yaris has a roomy interior; it also has a spacious trunk. The ride is very comfortable with little exterior noise. Performance and reliability is great; my car is fuel efficient getting about 300-350 miles per fill-up. Road trips are enjoyable and worry free.
accountCircle Dara M
It is good on gas, and a very safe car.
Efficient, compact car. Good on gas. Small but still enough room in the car so it is not crowded. Suspension is sensitive so you can feel every bump. But still a good car.

Negative Owner Reviews

accountCircle MaryLou L
Under performance, sluggish, not a safe car for long distance highway driving, extremely Loud engine and no so called amenities.
I don't feel comfortable driving my car on the highways. It has no pickup, getting on/off ramps, hills, very sluggish and can't get out of it's own way. The engine is extremely loud, seats are uncomfortable. I had to take the passenger headrest off as it blocked my view when looking over my shoulder. The size is small for the interstates and highways with large trucks and SUVs. Gets blown around. There are no luxury, special features. Hand crank windows and no auto door locks. I would not recommend this model unless strictly for around town driving and you definitely need added features to help make this car more enjoyable to drive, one positive ism it is good on fuel.
accountCircle Susan A
DON'T BUY. Look at other cars instead the toyota corolla is a lot nicer better designed and less problems
Its poorly designed cup holders block vent belt ALWAYS comes loose and squeaks The seat material rips easily.
accountCircle Marcus A
Great car with some issues popping up here and there.
The car performs perfectly fine, but in my years of doing it, it is had multiple problems regarding lines and tires but other than that it is been great. The vehicle's upsides however are that it rides very smoothly, is very good on gas and is overall a great investment.
accountCircle Zakaria A
Reason why I want a new care.
I always get flat tires. My tires are very bad. The car is very small and not manly car. What I do like about it is the gas. If I put 20 dollars today, I'll be good for almost for a week. But I still do hate the fact that the car is very small my head always touches the ceiling. The car is also very slow not that I want to speed.
accountCircle Jasmine J
It is very spacious for its size.
The mileage is great, very cheap to fill upon gas. However, the exterior is very cheaply made and is falling apart when I have only had it for a few years. So if the exterior was higher quality the car overall would probably be much better in my personal opinion.
accountCircle Helena A
It gets great gas mileage and that is about it.
It is too small for my liking other than that is not to bad. It has great mileage and runs fine. The size is really the only problem I have found l, you can barely sit more than three people comfortably and forget putting car seats in there. Also the donut that come with the car is way to small for the car, I needed up having to buy a different tire to use as a spare.
accountCircle Benito G
I enjoy the simple fact that there is an aux cord hook up.
No big problems. Needs maintenance less than average. Tires are small so can feel it drift on occasion. Window wipers are a bit odd in shape and design, but work well if buy a quality blade. Interior is nice but would prefer if the speedometer and gas gauges weren't in the center of dashboard. Also not sure if last line for gas is actually empty line or after.
accountCircle Emma U
Great car, great gas mileage, odd dashboard placement.
This car is a great small car. The hatchback model can fit a surprising amount of stuff with the back seats folded down. My car is at 110,000 miles and so far the maintenance on the vehicle has been very manageable. My only complaint would be that the dashboard indicators are in the center of the console, which is a bit weird. Otherwise, the car is comfortable, good on gas, and has a lot of storage compartments in the front.

The cup holders work very well.
Very bad in snow, I have a 2010 Toyota Yaris. In the winter it is extremely hard to drive because of the snow and ice. It is very comfortable however on the interior and I is pretty reliable other than the winter months. I love how to cup holders are up on the dash instead of in the middle console.

Toyota Yaris:: get it now! Great car.
My vehicle is great on gas, rides smooth. It has an six cable to set your music. Interior is very easy to clean. It is very comfortable and fits up to 5 passengers. The only problem I had was because it was a used car it needed new tires. The trunk space is pretty big to fit a lot of things into it.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Margarita S.

Economical on gas, spacious inside and very comfortable, very little maintenance just the regular oil change, air filters, fires and brakes. I paid a good price for it back on 2010. It is a beautiful car and a very modern silver color.

likeFilled Chauncey R.

Well this car is perfect depending on how tall you are. The shorter you are the better. While car is running it does not make much of a sound as it is very quiet almost a hybrid. And parking something like this very easy and convenient.

likeFilled Kati L.

I love the size! The car is small but the backseat is a lot roomier than you would think! It was the perfect car to learn how to drive in and I still have it!! (8 Years later) I also like how the speedometer is in the middle of the dashboard. That makes it easy to keep my eyes on the road and on my speed.

likeFilled Aubrey L.

I haven't had any major issues with it. I bring the car in for general maintenance and that is it. This car is also good on gas, which is great since gas can get expensive. I really like this car, definitely better than my old one.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Margarita S.

I have a model that has no modern features like navigation, cruise control, rear mirror motion detection, but I am alright with this. It is very low even though I had put on high tires and I always bump the front with edges of the parking stations.

dislikeFilled Chauncey R.

Honestly when I think about it for a moment. I cannot think of any cons unless I force myself to say something negative. It is not luxurious or flamboyant vehicle. It does and get the job done, no problems.

dislikeFilled Kati L.

The cup holders are in front of the air vents. In the summer having a drink in the cup holder blocks the ac. And in the winter with the heater on will heat up your drink. The only problem with the car!

dislikeFilled Aubrey L.

I can hear the brakes screech a little after it rains. I haven't had any issues with the car. It is small so if you do not like small cars then you will not like this one. Other than that, it's been fine.

Is The 2010 Toyota Yaris A Good Car?

Yes, it is great on gas. It has also been easy to maintain. It is small but has a lot of room for storage.
rica L.
Excellent gas mileage, nice looking car and for being a small sedan it is pretty spacious. It is very smooth on the road and I have had it for 9 years and all I have had done has been 4 sets of new... Read More
Margarita S.
Yes! I was in a pretty bad accident in 2012 and it kept me and my passenger safe. We suffered no injuries.
stacy G.
Yes I think it is. I haven't had any significant problem with it and it's good on gas which is fantastic.
Benedict T.
Yes! It is still running strong at over 150,000 miles. Great interior design and easy to drive. Doesn’t break down.
Rickie L.
Yes, it is. Still running good, and has low maintenance. I will not trade it for another car. I really like it a lot.
Stacey C.

How Reliable Is The 2010 Toyota Yaris?

My Toyota has been very reliable. Other than some battery issues and a few tire issues, I have not had many problems.
rica L.
My Yaris is pretty reliable and starts instantly. The only thing I need checked is the fan belt which makes a noise when I start it on a cold mornings and sometimes not all the time.
Margarita S.
The timing belt squeals upon startup, and no one seems able to fix it. It’s been squealing ever since it was replaced, so more the fault of (non-Toyota) mechanics, than Toyota’s.
Brad S.
It is definitely reliable and I haven't really had any problems with it. I've only had to have oil changes and the windshield replaced because of a crack.
Jackie P.
It is reliable. The only problems I have consistently encountered are that the hubcaps often come off, and the exterior paint peels.
Carla E.
Yes, it is a very reliable car. Thank God, ever since I got it, I have had no problems whatsoever. I hope it stays like that for a long time.
Kimberly V.

Is The 2010 Toyota Yaris A Good Value?

When I got my Toyota it was used and I got it for 10,000. It's definitely held its value and is still valuable.
rica L.
It was about $19,500 brand new. It is a simple car. No fancy extras, likes cruise control nor gps system or backup screen, but it has given. Me a good life and ride.
Margarita S.
Very good value, we bought it brand new for ~22k. After 9 years, I could probably expect to sell it for 5,000.
Anna C.
With fees and taxes included, it was a little over $6000 for the used 2010 Toyota Yaris I purchased 2 years ago. It was a good price for the car and good value
Anand J.
I think it cost around $18,000 when I got it new in 2010. A very good value since it is still driving well.
Benjamin M.
I have no idea how much a new 2010 Yaris would cost. But when I got mine in 2013, I was happy with the price as the mileage was so low on it.
