My 2004 Volkswagen is an amazing vehicle, other than some engine problems due to how old it is, Its still dependable. Its a cute and compact car for four people. I would recommend a Volkswagen beetle convertible to anyone, any day!

Great fun car for a young girl
Many electrical issues. The convertible does not always work smoothly. The headlight constantly goes out. Great on gas. Handles very nice. Small trunk. Much space inside vehicle. Fun car more than a practical car. Standard transmission. Not good in snow .

Great daily driver for a first time teenage driver.
2004 VW Beetle Convertible with 111000 miles. This has been my daily driver for the past 4 years and is a great first car for teens. New tires, ac works, the top needs replacement, and the front window does have a crack. Fun little car, was well kept by me, and in great repair. It has been reported in a lawsuit against VW for well known transmission glitch (it jumps slightly when slowing down, around 25 mph.)

That Beatle has room in the trunk
My vehicle is great for a single person not a family. It is on the smaller side but it has nice trunk space in the back, if you lay the back seats down. It has a 2.8 engine, so it has power. It's only a 2 door so that's a Hassle over all Great car.

This car's a cutie and great to drive around with a buddy in.
I appreciate that such a small car is surprisingly spacious. My only significant complaint is that the suspension isn't very good. It makes rides pretty bumpy.

Beetles are good beach cars
It is not a comfortable ride with the bucket seats. No CD player yet it is reliable. It sounds like I'm underwater when on the speaker cell phone call. It is a woman's car and a convertible. The performance is good with no problems, just not good for long drives.

He just doesn't quit running.
I'm the second owner of my beetle and it has been nothing but great. Requires regular maintenance like other vehicles, but I've put mine through the ringer and he's still going strong. Heated seats are nice, it's very safe, and just overall a fun car.

It is small so if you are tall, you'll have to squeeze to fit.
I love that it gets gas mileage. It is green, which is my favorite color. The steering mechanism is good. I really do not have complaints about it.

I love my VW is something I have always wanted. My auto is automatic, so my husband can drive it to work. As far as gas mileage, its very good, about 26 or 27 per mile. The only problem I have is to get it repaired with VW parts, you have to go to a dealer. Around here those are very few.

I call it my "happy car" because you cannot help but smile when you look at it.
I love my bug, however I live in a rural area and have to travel over 100 miles to the VW dealership to have repairs done. I recently had to take it in to have what ended up being the fuel pump replaced after my local mechanic would not replace it because he said the part was so expensive and he was not certain the fuel pump was the problem. After running it on the computer scanner it was determined it was indeed the fuel pump, but they had to order the part because my car was so 'old. ' Since I had to leave it at the shop for several days I asked them to have another key made because the car only came with one key fob and one spare key. The man who worked at the desk told me they could not be positive the key would work if I bought it. Because of the security system it could lock down my car engine and I might never get it to run again. When they dealership called to ask about my satisfaction with the service I told them the service was fine, but I will never purchase another VW because the parts for older vehicles are becoming too hard to purchase.

Do not use ethanol for the gas. I have mistakenly put in the wrong gas in before.
My car is reliable. The interior falls apart sometimes. However, it gets me where I need to go.

Great starter car for new drivers.
This is a nice little car and is my second Volkswagen. Unfortunately, I was in a situation where I needed a car quickly and the beetle was available. I downgraded from a VW Jetta and there is no comparison. This car is a good starter car and is easy to drive, but has a large blind spot due to the shape of the roof line. I would prefer a 4 door sedan and a more powerful engine.

It is convertible, great on gas, very peppy, overall pleased.
Love the mileage, do not like that there is no room to carry extra passengers and other things. Love the fact that it is convertible. Really like the color, like that turn signal shows up on turn signal also. Brakes about put you through window so great brakes.

Easy to control. Better suited for roads in town, not highways.
My car is small and cute which gets me lots of compliments when driving. It also makes it easier to park with Its compact size. However, it is hard to see out the rear window because of how small it is.

I am a barbie girl in a barbie car.
My 2004 Volkswagen beetle is highly convenient. It is suitable for the everyday young independent woman. It is also fashionable. It is cheap to put gas in it also. It only takes about $20 to till up the tank. The trunk has more than enough space, plus there are seats in the back. However, the only downside of this vehicle is that it is either difficult to find replacement parts or they are too expensive. That is because it is a foreign car.

Volkswagen beetle is a blast!
Have owned my beetle for one year, no mechanical problems. Runs fine. Wish I didn't hear road noise but think that is because it is a convertible. Roomy little trunk! Do not use the back seat. Love it when the top is down! One issue I have is that when the top is down, the buzzer keeps beeping. Once I am driving it finally goes off.

Amazing First Car - Just Be Mindful of a Few Electronic issues.
I love my beetle. Although it is older and does come with a few problems here and there, it holds up great. My car has over 150,000 miles and still runs great. The only problems I have with my car are purely glitches: the service light being on (despite the engine being fine) and the gas needle sometimes fluctuating up and down. This is an amazing first car to have, you just have to take care of it just like you would any other car.

VW new bug has its coolness but you pay to keep it repaired.
I love my car. It is cyber green. However, there are issues with it. I have put a lot of money into the car and it looks like I will be putting more going forward. I have had every hose replaced and thousands of dollars for little things. They have to take off the front end to fix the headlight. Tonight my windshield wipers stopped working. I got out and lifted them and they started working again. This is not the first time this has happened. I take it in to the repair shop and they cannot find anything wrong with them. The front end is banged up and the fog lights are broken due to the front end being so low to the ground. The cup holders will only hold small cups because it is under the dash. The back hatch only opens after I pop the opener inside the car multiple times. Again they cannot find anything wrong with the opener. The heated seats went into to the repair shop not too soon after I bought it. They repaired it many times. Then the warranty ended, the service repair person told me to keep things from going under the seat. I just gave up and do not use them. I love the turbo part of the car, it makes it feel like a sports car.

Great gas mileage..Low maintenance..Classic adorable style..Fun to drive easy to park and turn..For being so small it feels roomy and has leg room in the front/ backseat is cramped..I have always owned VW beetles..The earlier new beetle models 98/00..Tended to have electrical issues..But my 2004 car has been awesome.

The most important thing to know would be that it comes with a variety of features.
The car is very comfortable and nice. It is small and compact which makes parking especially easy. Difficult for other cars to see though.

The 2004 Volkswagen beetle gls convertible is cute but not practical or safe.
Volkswagens are expensive to fix. My beetle 2004 turbo gls convertible has quite a few issues. There is a problem with the gear shifter that has ruined my transmission. I believe there was a recall on it but they stopped fixing it after 10 years. The turbo engine is really touchy and sometimes makes the car jolt. The convertible top is very clunky and loud as well.

It falls apart easily and I have put a lot of money into it. When I am driving it will just die. But it is fast!

Curved shape of car frame and windshield.
The most dissatisfying feature of the beetle is the angles of the windshield, but otherwise I love it. Sometimes the curvature of the car frame along the front can cause a block in seeing traffic to the northwest angle, causing a lot of shifting in the driver's seat to see.

It saved my life when I got into an accident.
I love that my car is compact! The parts are expensive but last a long time. It's great on gas. It doesn't have a lot of room though.
