Fun and reliable convertible
I haven't had any major problems. It has been a solid, reliable car, and it is fun to drive. I did have to replace the window rotor, but I had to do the same thing on my last VW as well. It also has a faulty light housing for one of the headlights, so the light tends to come loose regularly. It's a minor inconvenience I can live with, or I can have the housing replaced at some point.

Though small, it is unexpectedly useful.
I absolutely love this car. It's extremely easy to drive, the size is perfect for parking since its so small. The interior is so simple and comfortable. Though it is small so you cannot exactly fit much. The only thing I wish it did have would be Bluetooth.

Small, but really spacious inside. The trunk space is the worst because it is shaped with a hatchback so not much room.

Leather interior. Great daily driver.
Had to replace transmission a month after purchasing but bought it used. Great car though. Very reliable great gas mileage.

I love my 2009 red Volkswagen bug 2 door coupe. .
I love my car. It has been very reliable. I have had it for 10 years and no major repairs have been needed. It is cute and modern. Get great gas mileage. I expect my Volkswagen beetle to be my last car to purchase. The cherry red color has got me plenty of complements and looks.

It is adorable and affordable, but not a reliable option for teenagers or anyone.
My vehicle is inconsistent and not reliable. I always have to take it to the shop to get fixed. The parts are expensive, and it always breaks down.

Repairs are too expensive.
Loved this car at first but over the years many things have gone wrong that were too expensive to fix. The doors are too heavy and continuously need to be soldered, the trunk doesn't open anymore and just the part to fix it costs $400. Very expensive car to fix. Now I hate it!

Little beetle with little storage.
My vehicle is ok. It does not get very good gas mileage. I do like the look of it and the inside is pretty decent. There is not much storage space which I knew when I bought it.

It's expensive to get it fixed.
Its cute, but has a lot of mechanical issues. I like that it is not too big, or too small. Wish more mechanics knew how to work on beetles.

I love the color and the look. It is cute and it is a good fit for me.

Still loving my beetle bug
It's a great vehicle. I have very few complaints about it. I would prefer a more updated radio and would like a navigation system but that's it.

Its reliable and very sturdy for a compact car. I like the style of it a lot, and because it's on the small side it is very easy to find a parking space, which is important to me. It has good gas mileage and a decent amount of trunk space for a small car.

It has great gas mileage. It is a convertible, so it is fun to drive with the top down in nice weather. It is small and easy to maneuver. It is always easy to park since it takes up less space in a garage. It has great pick up and acceleration.

It is small, so it's not great for hauling things or carrying a lot of things. It doesn't have a lot of space in the back either. It's an old car, so of course that brings its own issues. And I've had issues with the top before.

One of the cons is that it does not include satellite radio. It has to be ordered extra. Also, you must be very careful with the convertible top. You cannot take it through the car wash. I usually wash it myself. The worst con is that the power window motor breaks down after a few years and is expensive to fix.

Yes. It is so easy to see out of the windows. It handles nicely and is super easy to park. I have the manual transmission and I love it.

How Reliable Is The 2009 Volkswagen Beetle?

So far it has been reliable for me. I haven't had any major problems yet. Aside from small maintenance up keeps it has been great.

Is The 2009 Volkswagen Beetle A Good Value?

When I bought mine it was about $10,000. I figured that was a good price for it. Obviously it is worth much less now but for how much I love it, it is worth it.
