Small on the outside, big on the inside.
The thing I love most about my car is the size. It is small on the outside and big on the inside! I can fit in any tight parking space and still fit anything from a bike, furniture, or paddle board inside. I am pretty tall and I love all the head and leg room.

That it has never had any internal or external issues regarding safety.
Safety features are very exceptional and the car drives smoothly, the interior is practical for my needs.

The best car ever is the mk7 VW golf.
Love it is fuel efficient, goes really fast, it is small and cozy too, it is the best car I have ever had.

Sporty car, flimsy exterior.
I love driving my golf! I drive the base model with a stick shift. It is responsive, fun, and sporty! The seats are very comfortable, and with the back seats down, the truck fits a surprisingly large amount! I haven’t had any major issues mechanically. I do not like how easily the exterior dents. The paneling seems flimsy.

Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen is a very nice car to own.
It has a lot of nice features that make it nice to own. The radio/sound system is a plus. It has apple play which is nice. Nice ride.

That it's a very dependable car that doesn't require a lot of maintenance.
It's a very dependable car and it gets good gas mileage miles per gallon it's comfortable and easy to drive.

Comfortable high tech small car.
It takes a while for it to start but once it is gets going it gets going. I have had to put in quite a bit of money on it to fix up here and there but definitely worth it. Because it is a small car it can practically fit anywhere you try to put it is very smooth to ride and comfortable. It does have a backup camera on it as well as a new radio. It is got really good space in the trunk and I have chosen to but a rack on top to be able to carry even more stuff.

Top-notch performance for an affordable price.
Very reliable vehicle and comfortable interior. It has a touch screen for navigation and entertainment. I can connect my iPhone to have safer access to google maps and music. There's enough space in the back for friends or my dog and the trunk is relatively spacious.

Perks of the Volkswagen golf SportWagen.
Leaking by sunroof. Love the heated seats. Truck could have more space. Drives really smooth and is very fun to drive. Leather seats are easy to clean. Sunroof is big and provides great panoramic views. I wish it opened further. The storage of the spare and tools is creative.

Best car I have owned so far.
The mk7 golfs are probably the best version VW has ever made. The infotainment is very reactive and the speaker setups are excellent. The seats in leather are very comfortable on long trips and the great gas mileage is a bonus too. I have taken my golf on 1000 mile weekend road trips and haven't ever had an issue. The steering feels very responsive and safe. The engine is quiet and keeps the cabin enjoyable even on bad roads. I have driven other cars that are competition to this car(civics/Subarus/etc.) And this car will beat all of them out in terms of feel, daily ability, and especially build quality. For the price there is really no. Better option than the golf.

Good and reliable. Minor issues only.
It is been a very reliable car for me, though I have had some issues with sensitive sensors for my tire pressure. Hardly a reason to not enjoy all the other features. Apple CarPlay is great. Easy sight lines. More space than you might expect for cargo if you fold down the back seats.

Pros from Owners

10,000 Mile interval for maintenance. Pep and power. Clean lines and looks. Economical to operate 24-36 mpg. The cons are the Continental tires that come mounted on the vehicle. The tires are noisy and seem to come apart on the side of the tire tread. I would never intent to buy a car with them again or as a replacement.

I like the way the car handles, both in the city and on the road. The steering and suspension are very tight, which makes it easy for me to tell where I am on the road. The seating of the car also 'fits' me, since I am 5' 2' tall and cannot see out of some vehicles. I also like the car's computer and dashboard screen which provide information about mileage, fuel level, and other details of how the car is running.

Good gas mileage, good interior size for the lifestyle we lead. I like the functionality of the front console, for using phones, via CarPlay. We have never had major issues, so it has been very reliable.

Great handling and speed. It is an absolute joy to drive. It also gets amazing gas mileage and is very reliable. I also love the sport look and the functionality of it. I would highly recommend this car to anyone, especially if you love speed.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Billy J.

See previous statement and comment. I do not particularly like the interior color black and would like something a little lighter, grey/gray would work for me and my family. The Continental tires are rough and noisy at highway speeds.

dislikeFilled Mary Ann.

The car arrived with some problems that appeared to come from the factory. The doors (car is a 2-door) were both improperly torqued at the factory. After four attempts by the dealer to repair this, the passenger side door works to a certain extent. The driver's side door either collapses on to my leg when I open the door, or it flies open and sometimes hits the car next to it. There were also several computer failures related to the shift assembly and transmission. I believe the car has had four recalls serviced to date.

dislikeFilled Michael O.

I know as a VW owner that repairs and parts are expensive if it should come to that. The package we selected is missing a few conveniences that would have been nice (power seats). I also am not crazy about the keyless starter.

dislikeFilled Lindsay R.

Oil changes and other maintenance are costly, as is the case with most German engineering. But I have found that the cost of upkeep is well worth it as you get a good roi on the investment. I also am slightly disappointed in the quality of some of my interior trim that began peeling. To repair this, I would need to replace the entire piece.
