The car has three different modes you can drive in.
The car is super fun to drive! However, it has a very small gas tank and is not super fuel efficient. The start-stop engine is an interesting feature, however in the summer when you come to a stop, the air conditioning also turns off and the car gets very hot.

Perfect car for the city.
Great car, highly recommended. Many safety and comfort features. The only 1 thing missing is the memory seat settings as there are 2 drivers in our household. Otherwise everything else is just perfect. It is a manual which really allows you to enjoy the power of turbo.

Gti: balanced jack of all trades.
Best bang for your buck car that I have found, as Volkswagen seems to have better interiors than most competing brands. I wanted something sporting with a manual transmission and this checked all the boxes for me. The extended warranty by default was an added bonus so that I know my car will be protected for longer than other brands. I do not know if I could go back to a sedan having driven a hatchback now as it fits almost everything that I could ask for in the back, while still scratching that small car itch I have.

It has paddles behind the steering wheel.
Water comes in from the sunroof when it rains at times. The speed on it is really nice and it has nitro so you have to push on the gas gently. The gears switch nicely and it is automatic not manual. Pretty small but it is a sports car. Wouldn't recommend if you are trying to use the car for long distance travel like a road trip.

Fun to drive. Reliable. Practical. Good looking. Well construction.
Very reliable and well performance. The motor response is great driving in the city or highway. This is a very fun vehicle to drive, it feels safe and the design is just beautiful. Interior 'leather' is very durable it does not look cheap, well design interiors. Seats are comfortable at least for rides shorter than 5 hrs. The storage space is great you can fit a lot of stuff almost like a SUV but cooler. However driving this vehicle in some Atlanta streets is a bit stressful, when passing over a hole street or damaged roads, since the car is pretty low from the floor but nothing that the construction of the car cannot resist.

Best decision to be made for anyone looking for a hot hatch.
Great performance. I love the smart app system. I no longer have a need for a separate GPS or iPod because I can just plug my phone into my car. It is good on gas. There’s good passenger and trunk space so I can go out with friends for a fun outdoor weekend. In terms of looks, it is a very fun, modern, sporty looking car that easily catches attention.

Versatile go anywhere vehicles.
No problems through 30k miles just regular maintenance which has primarily been tires and oil changes. There are some bigger maintenance items coming up for example the spark plugs and ignition coils which can be costly if you do not do the work yourself. Performance is great. Car is very aftermarket friendly.

Tornado red, customized inside with USB ports and sound system.
The moon roof squeaks, and sometimes the Infotainment system glitches. The car periodically has trouble sensing the key fob. That's all the bad things really, the car is super fun to drive, especially with a manual transmission. It gets pretty good gas mileage (26.4mpg) is my year average. It's pretty easy to work on for DIY projects. I love how when taking apart things, you can tell Volkswagen went the extra mile even on the things you don't see.

Great car for a fair price I recommend it.
Best car you can buy for the money fun to drive and it is a everyday driver. Car is very responsive and handles fine in the snow or rain. The warranty that Volkswagen offers is the best compared to even Hyundai. To sum it up this car is one of the best cars in its class.

I have had no problems with this car and it has exceeded my expectations. It is reliable, comfortable, and very fun to drive. I also like the convenient features, including screen and technology. It handles well and looks great too. There is nothing not to love about it.

I like my black gate, basically.
I am still paying off my car with carmax and I love the look of the car. It is very sleek! Certain things break in the car sometimes. For example, my windows cannot roll up all the way right now, I am working on getting it done. The car is fast and is good on gas.

Great, reliable sports car or even family car. 10/10 highly recommend.
Car handles very well. In the two years I have owned this car I have not had any problems with it. Seats are comfortable and stylish. Carplay is a great feature and very handy. It also updates when you update your phone. I highly recommend Volkswagen and this model. VW is a great company and always friendly!

Performance daily driver.
Fast car. Really love the performance on it. One thing is apparently with the 2019 models some of the power steering is off and rattles the steering wheel when you are making slow turns. Interior is really nice and has a nice display that works with android auto.

Excellent vehicle, definitely recommend.
I haven't had any issues at all so far. The car is very comfortable, even for me as a tall person. It runs well, the electronics are intuitive, and it has a very good balance of comfort and performance, considering the price point. I'll be keeping this car for as long as possible.

Like the way it picks up when I press the gas pedal. Pretty fast. Like the sunroof. Like the rear view camera. Like the extra safety feature. Like the heated front passenger and driver seats. Hard getting in and out of the driver sides. But it is still a smooth and comfortable ride.

A fun car to drive. Practical and reliable.
It is a fun and powerful car to drive. I enjoy driving stick shift. It has been so far reliable. It is small enough to park anywhere. However, interior is roomy. I plan to buy another Volkswagen later on. It maneuvers great in the city. Very practical car. The service department has been very helpful.

The GTI is a peppy but sleek car!
The GTI is a peppy hatchback that is spacious and sleek. It's a compact 4 door car but has pretty decent room in the backseat. The car features Android Auto/Apple Play which is a great feature for listening to music, GPS navigation, or needing to text friends via voice. On the road, the car drives smooth and has a lot of pep.

No problems. I bought a 2007 Mark V GTI and it to my son and he loved it. Red, with Interlagos interior and a DSG. My other car is a 2005 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet and the GTI is more fun to drive than my 997.

2018 gti autobahn automatic.
Very comfortable, not much legroom if people are in the back seats. Sunroof has a crackling noise when it gets above like 55 degrees f outside - just turn up the stereo. Decent trunk space for something so small. Quick - turbo sounds great. Horn went all funky so now it is high pitched but otherwise is fine.

The pickup on the gti is unlike any other.
The car is a great car. Very comfortable with great features. Navigation screen is nice size, easy to use, and clear. As far as performance goes for the price you cannot get much better. Only complaint is the front wheel drive can sometimes be a bit problematic.

Great car, good looking and excellent performance.
Nice smooth ride, it feels like you are driving a BMW. Super solid, not wobbly. It accelerates fast and economical. Easy to park but I feel safe. Car feels heavy like a bigger car. Lots of space on trunk and easy to put seats down. The only negative about this car is that needs special gas that costs more.

If you are into a cool paint job, look into their offbeat color schemes.
This car is amazing. Great on gas and quick. The seats are comfy and you do not go flying everywhere if you take a corner quickly. I love this little car and plan on continuing with a golf r in a few years. I do suggest upgrading for the apple CarPlay.

It's safe, the car has Auto stop as well as detectors in case you are either too close to another car, or if you want to switch lanes
The reason I love the car is because it is safe. The car also has some cool specs, like the the mirroring of the phone to the dash. It also has a lot of room for being a hatchback

The golf gti is an affordable sports hatchback that feels like driving a go-kart.
Connection to phone can be a bit difficult and does not always work. Otherwise it's a nice fun car. Got a good zip, and feels like a go-kart when driving. The smaller size makes it easy to park on the street. The trunk could be a little larger, but most items fit just fine. With seats folded it can hold a lot. Only becomes a negative when four people are traveling.

Sleek, dependable, and fast.
My gti is the coolest vehicle I have ever known. It fits me perfectly - it feels smart, fast, and classy, and does not fit in. At least, it does not feel like it does. It is reliable, fast, comfortable, and sleek. From what I have read and heard from friends, as long as you change the fluids, this car will 'run forever' and so far, that appears to be the case!

Gti: a drivers car for daily driving.
Great daily driver. It has excellent fuel economy and is a fast and comfortable ride. I enjoy using this vehicle to get groceries, and just to travel. Maintenance has been easy and I have had no problem over the past 2 years. I do not drive a lot so I have only just put under 12k miles on it.

The best fast family car you can have fun in!
My car is a 5 door hatchback. It is very fast, great finish on the bodywork, low profile tires and great interior. It is a little noisy inside, while on the highway, but overall, I really love it.

2019 gti. The perfect mixture of luxury and sport.
I am really enjoying my gti. It is the perfect mixture of speed and handling. Fantastic entry level sport luxury. Features that stand out at auto windshield wipers and headlights. My biggest concern prior to purchasing the car was how comfortably I’d fit in it. I am taller (6’3) so I was hesitant to test drive. Safe to say I comfortably fit inside with room to spare.

A fun and functional car with plenty of power.
The car is very fun to drive as it has plenty of horsepower for pulling out into traffic or passing on the highway. Even the base model comes with nice features for storage in the back. It rides very smooth and quiet for a more performance-tuned car. The interior trim is modest but nice. Only a few minor cons: I do not like some of the user interface with the electronics. There are too many shiny surfaces inside the car that create a glare in the sun.
