Volkswagen is an amazing company and I truly feel safe about my vehicle. It can get through anything. I will definitely be buying another volkswagen in the future!
I love everything about my vehicle. It is a TDI so I get wonderful mpg and it is a solid vehicle with almost 300,000miles on it. I am having issues with the Turbocharger but it is understandable with as many miles as it has on it. A truly solid car!

That it's a really smooth drive. And is great on gas mileage.
I love the way the Jetta drives it's so smooth. I love the heated seats, the leather seats, that it's a four door, and so much more. Honestly I can't think of anything I dislike about it.

I would love everyone to know that the most important thing about my car is That it is a diesel and Diesel engine last long. I, also, save most of the gas because even I have to drive often I only get gas about 1 or twice a month
I like my vehicle because it's a compact vehicle not too big and not too small and most of all it gives me a great mpg no matter where I drive

It's a great car and anyone would be happy with the stylish look and the great reliability
I love the reliability and the look of the car that I have. I also like the power that I get from the engine and that it's an automatic

It's good on gas and reliable.
Power everything, quiet engine, automatic great on gas leather interior, but has a leak in the sunroof so floods my floors when it rains.

Consider repair costs & shift pattern when buying a VW with manual transmission.
Bought the car used. Very few problems--mostly maintenance for general wear and tear. It is a five speed manual. My biggest complaint is the shift pattern. If I do not pay attention, it feels like it drops into second gear when I want first which causes the car to stall. The only other issue I have with Volkswagen is that the parts seem to be specialized where repairs can only be done through a dealership. This can be costly for an older car.

Jetta is very reliable, it has over 100,000 miles and still running very strong
My car has all the bells and whistles, electric everything, heated leather seats, speed sensor wipers, XM radio. I really don't have any complaints.

VW with verve outclasses its American cousins.
Some leakage in sunroof & floor seepage. Frequent maintenance costly, steering column repairs, electrical issues, new alternator. However, enjoy the car's drive, ok fuel efficiency, do not plan to sell until 200, 000.

Sleek beautiful amazing perfect for a small family or a couple.
I love my Jetta, reliable, easy ride con expensive parts but well worth every penny. Seat warmer is a plus for Ohio, slid a bit in the winter but a few sandbags takes care of that issue.

The best detail is the sunroof feature. Ideal for the island.
It has a leather khaki interior and the best system to play music. I love the gas usage its very low and efficient. Its second hand but its very good no issues so far. Had it for two years now. Its seats are comfortable and have heating access for wintery mornings.

I love that it's nice looking and fast. I dislike that it gives me problems lot often lately. Most problems are electrical..

One important thing you should know about my car is it is durable and can get from point a to point b.
I love my car I rarely have problems but my main complaint is that the interior smells like crayons especially when it gets hot outside.

What I like about my Jetta.
Jumpy transmission but engine is good. Highway mileage is good. City streets not that good heated seats are a bonus and leather interiors great. Spacious inside as well. Really enjoy the reliability of mu Jetta. With regular maintenance it's a great vehicle to own.

Maintenance of my car is kind of expensive because of the foreign parts needed.
I like the luxury look of it. I enjoy the ride and how it feels driving. I like the texture of the leather inside.

Beige car with a sunroof, ran well aside from transmission issues, has an automatic transmission
The transmission has started to falter so it is not safe to drive for extended periods of time but before that issue it was a good car.

It's a sporty fun car to drive. Makes me feel young again when I drive it.
It has a lot of pick up probably has to do with the fact that it is turbo. I love the look of it. The only thing. Really don't like is how expensive certain things are to fix on it. I get great gas mileage. I think I take better care of that car than any other car I've owned. I really love it.

Good on gas. Fun to drive. Still in good condition.
Comfortable ride, but have trouble with the trunk popping up. This is a problem while driving as it partially blocks the view in the rearview mirror. Otherwise I love the car. It is pretty good on gas. The back seat is fine for passengers and shopping, and is. Comfortable as well.

Jetta: reliable and efficient.
My Jetta has given everything I have ever asked from it. My model is diesel and manual transmission, so it is fuel efficiency is really good and it is engine is quite powerful. The interior of the car is very comfortable and slightly spacious considering the size of the car. I have had a couple spark plug problems and coolant leaks, but besides those issues nothing major.

Loyal to German manufacturing.
Like the solid construction, comfortable ride, iconic name, reliability. Car now has 135, 000 miles so problems are more frequent, electrical problems, more costly replacements. Addressing transmission issue now, will probably look at another VW however.

It is a reliable, fuel economical, and fun car to drive.
I really like my Jetta because it is a diesel and it gets very good fuel mileage. I do not like how expensive the repairs are for it. The middle council and glove box latch is almost always broken on all used models including mine.

Great Family Car with room for all, ready for weekend projects or everyday fun!
Great gas mileage. Tons of room for cargo and passengers. Roof racks for travel and recreation. Love feeling the breeze and the sun through the sunroof. Makes the car feel even more roomy. Heated seats. Lots of visibility. Radio, tape deck and CD player. Cloth seats that stay comfortable, not too hot or cold. Love that the trunk area has a screen that covers anything loaded in the back.

Sporty with nice vintage appeal.
Great car. But after 150, 000 miles. Starting to have problems. Transmission slips. Pile pressure light came on. Smoking out of tailpipe. German engineering is funny. Difficult and expensive. Fun car to drive though if taken care of properly. Just cost a lot to maintain after 150, 000 miles. Sporty and tight at the beginning of the cars life.

Takes Diesel But Still Good
I really like this vehicle. It is fuel efficient but it does take diesel so the cost to fill up is more than I'm accustomed to for a small car. I acquired it used so it does have some pre existing issues, but it is still a great car for small trips.

We have been through a lot together. This car has never let me down.
It is one of the last of the Type IV Jettas and the last made in Wolfsburg. In 2005 the Jetta reached to top of its game and I wish I could keep it forever. They do not make them like this anymore. Does that make sense?
accountCircle Janet B on November 20, 2019
It has a nice luxurious feel to it but that feeling comes with a price.

VW Wagon great for trips and families
Comfortable, low maintenance and great on fuel. Easy to drive on long trips and plenty of room for all your travel items. Very safe for children with enough room for 2 car seats and a an adult in the back. Diesel car maintains an easy 5,000 miles before oil change.
accountCircle Monica H on October 27, 2019
This vehicle has punch! It is not one of those cars that lull when you have to go!
The problems so far is it is quite noisy when I drive it. Mind you, it is a 2005. I am pretty sure there is wear and tear and was much more quiet in its newer years. The drive is not as smooth as I would like but then again it is up in years. The driver's seat could be more comfortable. The features are pretty basic as well. I am sure they are well advanced in the newer models. It is extremely reliable. I have not had many issues at all. Just of course the regular maintenance that goes for any vehicle. Oil change, tire checks, and so forth. The comfort and I mentioned is ok, the arm rest is to far back which gives you a hard time when you want to rest your arms while driving. The headrest is small and not curved much for head support. The car is pretty basic compared to recent standards.

Reliable, Practical and Fun
Ownership of my Jetta sport wagon has been a joy own. I have no issues, being it is the 2.5L model runs strong and always reliable. The car is simple; it has Bluetooth but no navigation, which is ok because you can sync up the to your phone and it plays through the speaker system. The car is front wheel drive, which makes it is exceptional in poor weather condition. Gas mileage for the 2.5L is not as good as the diesel, but this engine runs much smoother than that of the diesel. It is quiet and has a pleasant exhaust tone. The 2.5L is the five-cylinder and has a right amount of torque I never feel like I have an issue overtaking someone on the highway. One thing I wish this car had that the diesel does is the DSG transmission. I came from driving a manual and couldn't find anything in the area; I had to get the automatic transmission. This car would be transformed with the DSG and it a shame Volkswagen didn't include this on the options list. The versatility of the vehicle is where it shines. I take it everywhere; it has enough space to fit a regulation size door with the seats folded. I was shocked. It is my favorite part of the vehicle is how much stuff I can lug around with me. I never feel like I need more space and the car comes with roof rails that are compatible with many added storage systems. Overall great car I would get another in manual if one comes up for sale.

Great car for a new family!
I purchased my Jetta in 2016 and have driven it as my primary car ever since then. It was a pre owned car that we bought through a private seller. I love the seat warmer, auto temperature setting & the ease of moving the front seat. It goes from 0 to 60 really fast as is very comfortable for long drives. I have had to have the two front windows fixed as they would not. Go up or down. I also had to have the passenger door lock fixed.

Nice car for beginning drivers, definitely gets the job done.
The electrical in my car tends to malfunction. Random warning lights turn on when there is actually nothing wrong. But I was aware that Jetta had bad electrical before I bought it. The trunk also broke on it is own, I have to hold the trunk open when using it. Also, my driver side window stopped rolling down and up without me doing anything. Sometimes the other windows will roll down on their own which is always odd. I do think the car drives smooth, which is always nice. The gas usage is also good, I am not sure how many miles per gallon it gets but it seems to be good. There is seat warmers which, not going to lie, I love. You can adjust both sides of the ac without affecting the other side which is very nice. While the trunk door is broken and will not hold itself, the trunk is very roomy and has a lot of space for storage. The back seat is a little crowded but I do not usually haul a bunch of people around so that is fine. I do not like the passenger seat adjuster because my guests are usually confused by it and it took me months to figure it out.
