2007 VW Jetta 2.5L 5cylinder automatic transmission
Love the car but it has odd electrical problems whenever it wants to. It thinks one of the doors is open sometimes when none are open. The window will decide not to go down or up (whichever is more inconvenient at the moment) until the next time you go somewhere (if you're lucky enough then) Still getting decent gas mileage though...

It is a five speed, and has a sunroof.
My car has two-tone leather. I have heated seats, cruise control, a good stereo system, and a sunroof. It has all electric windows and controls. I have only had issues with my catalytic converter due to having bad gas out into my engine before I purchased the vehicle. I used an engine fuel cleaner when I pumped gas and it is fixed.

If it's about knowing about my car specifically, is that it has gone for 130,000 miles with fairly minimal trouble and no accidents. If it is about Jettas generally, is that they are decent cars.
For a 2007, it did have a lot of transmission problems. My biggest complaint is the AUX port being in the glove compartment AND it stopped working after a year.

It gets really good gas mileage for how old the car is.
Very dependable car but harder to get work done on it since it is foreign.

A great first car! Small in size but a reliable car all around.
I love the comfort of my car. It is small enough that it is easy to drive (and park) but still large enough that passengers have room and there is room for cargo. I also love the sunroof option. It is great for warm summer days. A downfall is it is not very good in the snow- especially going up hill. The heated seats in colder weather are a nice feature as well. However, they are only in the front, not the back. Another downfall is the USB input is in the glove compartment which is pretty inconvenient.

My Jetta is good on gas, has 70k in miles and very comfortable. As for problems there's rust in doorway, oil leak needs fixing, and calipers need fixing.

Its black exterior with silver rim. Leather seats. Sunroof.
I bought it with about 150,000 miles on it and it currently has a little over 20,000. So far it still runs great as long as I get regular oil changes. The only problems I've had with it is the air repeatedly has stopped working. I have gotten it fixed twice

2007 Volkswagen Jetta - awesome.
Very reliable, comfortable to drive, good gas mileage. Have had no major issues with it and currently have 140,000 miles. I plan to drive it as long as possible. Drives well in all weather. Have driven it in significant snow and have had no issues at all.

I really like my car, it is a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. I have been very lucky. It offers a comfy ride. We have not have had any problems. My only issue is with the 2 sides of the car it is getting a bubble on both sides of the car. Everything is perfect except. I would definitely buy another Jetta.

The car is dependable but it is approaching 200, 000 miles, meaning, long trips should always have a back up plan ready.
I like that the car looks different because it is foreign and also due to its modern unique look. I like that the car has been at this house for many years but has not caused many problems. I dislike that the seats are in such an uncomfortable way. I can adjust the seats all day long but it never really is super comfortable. I have to had pillows to make it comfortable.

The Jetta is small enough to be compact but feels sturdy and safe. I have plenty of room for my 3 kids and the trunk space is great. Sports safe car for a family of 3.
My car runs fast and has a nice interior with leather seats, nice radio so it's comfortable for me and my family. I would prefer if it didn't have a turbo system that sounded so high and if the tires didn't need air so often. But other than that I really like it.

Although we purchased the Jetta second hand the outcomes were amazing.
The Jetta is cool, the only thing is that when I have a problem there is very little mechanics that may fix the issue with positive outcomes. For example, a few months ago the transmission failed me, I had to find a transmission, and that was not difficult at all, what was mostly difficult was finding a mechanic that would give me a positive and effective outcome.

Reliable car that is fairly priced that comes with great perks.
Reliable car, has over 100k miles but still runs just as good since day one. Just replacing parts is expensive due to it being a German car brand. I recommend getting this car, my next car when this one finally runs down will be another volkswagen Jetta. Another perk is that they are not so expensive, they are fairly priced and you get a lot of bang for your buck. You can pick the standard features or upgrade. The standard package is still just as nice. Highly recommend this brand. You will not be disappointed at all.

The Volkswagen Jetta. Affordable and reliable.
I have always driven Volkswagen Jetta’s. I very first car was a Volkswagen Jetta. You can drive them well into 100,000 miles. I haven't had to have excess of repairs on the vehicle. Maintenance things like tires brakes oil change. Frankly I am not want to take great care of the car but this car is reliable. It is a good reliable car with decent gas mileage and some useful comfort features. Heated seats and console repair alerts. Drives well in all conditions. Has front wheel drive and is easy to handle. Small enough to get around tight congested areas and easy to park. It is not a big car though. If you need to haul a lot of things packages and equipment there’s probably not enough space in the Jetta. Although that being said it does have a huge trunk.

Low maintenance. Headliner defect.
Interior headliner falling down throughout entire car. No other problems except regular maintenance done. Driven from Chicago to Las Vegas without a single problem. Minor rust on wheel wells. Most paint in good shape. Excellent handling in any weather conditions.
accountCircle Sam H on September 28, 2019
Routine maintenance is critical; always use the premium gas and fully synthetic oil and keep the car running as smoothly as possible.
I enjoy the sunroof and adore the heated seats. I like that I can see out of all windows easily. Another bonus is that the mirrors can tilt so I can see the curb while parking, and defrost during the frigid winters. I dislike how quickly the wiper blades fall apart, even the more expensive ones, so I wonder if there is a design flaw in the way they operate in this model. I don't like how my head touches the roof when I have sunglasses on my head, so that is uncomfortable. I do like the seats but the side is wearing quickly. I was super lucky to upgrade to thicker waterproof floor mats since I live in a very rainy/wet climate. I am on the fence about the oil change notification messages on the dash / instrument panel. I think it was good initially to help get in a routine, but that's only because it was my first car. I absolutely love the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) but my snow tires don't have it so I get that warning message all winter. All said and done, I'm happy with my purchase but routine maintenance costs are expensive. I try to use a dealership for most services but it can be hard to find a good/honest/trustworthy shop; I tend to find a great one but then I move and am no longer close enough to go there.

Being a Volkswagen owner manual.
My vehicle rust easily. I have to keep buying headlights which are at twenty five a piece per bulb. My tires always need air. On the bright side it's amazing on gas. Another issue is it's a European vehicle so you have to tear the whole vehicle apart to fix something so little and the parts can be pricey. Other than that it drives very easy, and my kids love it. Very spacious.

The vehicle I own has lasted me for a long time and still continues to work.
My car has lasted for 11 years and I have done little maintenance to it outside of regular oil and tire changes. VOLKSWAGEN JETTA BEST CAR EVER!
I LOVE my VW Jetta. It is a 2007, and I have had it since 2011. When I got it, it was practically new with 7,000 miles. It was certified pre owned, and now it has 155,000 miles on. It is a manual 5 cylinder, and shifts so nice and easy. It's a smooth ride, and picks up speed decently. It's pretty good on gas as well, it isn't quite a 4 cylinder slow car, but also doesn't take as much gas as a 6 cylinder. It has all 4 power windows, which is amazing. It has this feature that I love where as soon as I start driving, maybe after a few feet the doors lock automatically and that makes me feel so much safer! It also won't let the car door lock before the driver door is closed, which has prevented me from locking my keys I'm the car. To go along with that there isn't any physical lock on the door that goes up or down, or that you can pull out, which I feel would make it harder to break into the car. The Jetta is actually very spacious inside, everyone has plenty of foot room, and the trunk is surprisingly deep! I love love my Jetta, it has been extremely good to me, and it's still going strong!

Jetta Wolfsburg edition. Good on gas and reliable despite some glitches.
Most of the body parts inside and out are plastic so although my car has less than 50k on the clock, strips of black plastic between the doors have been damaged too easily in the sun and make the car look bad. Replacing them would be costly even though we're talking about cheapo plastic. Other than that I like the car, I love the way it has good gas mileage (why I selected it in the first place). One mysterious thing that happened is that since day 1 I have felt that the car doesn't hold the road very well over 60 miles/hr, and it has been checked several times and nothing wrong was found that could explain this wobbly feeling over 60 miles/hr. Overall I like the car, it's comfortable and reliable, I just wish its price had matched the materials used. I got the Wolfsburg Edition.

The Jetta, a reliable car.
The Volkswagen Jetta is a reliable car. At about 250, 000 miles it still drives decently well, although I have had a few issues. Upon the purchase of the vehicle the spark plugs had to be replaced. The check engine light has come on several times in the year and a half that I have owned it though on the whole it is a good vehicle. It is decently fuel efficient but there are definitely better models if mileage is what you are looking for. The car drives very well, with little issues while shifting; although, after talking with other owners of the same model I have found that there is a small issue with shifting into 3rd gear. The gear shift tends to stick making it very awkward to shift into 3rd gear sometimes. On the whole I would say that if you can get the car for 4000 or less it is a good deal. Otherwise I would look for something a little different. The Volkswagen Jetta of the year 2007 gets a 7/10 for me on a scale of 1-10.

I dislike that that there have been some very expensives fixes required - broken axle, continually deteriorated brakes, overly frequent changing of windshield wipers, and overly frequent changing of burnt out headlights.

One of my favorite features is the heated seats.
I loved the car at first. Personally, my vehicle is not in the best condition but it runs great and it is reliable.

The car is a very dependable one which can last a long time.
Car has lasted over 10 years and gets decent gas mileage for how old it is now. Getting work done on it is my only complaint. Because it is a foreign car some shops cannot do maintenance.

2007 VW Jetta--electrical issues as it gets older.
As the car has gotten older, I have found it has some electrical issues. The sunroof will on occasion open on its own and will need to turn the switch on and then back off to close the sunroof. The cruise control button does not always work (must turn engine off and then on again to have it work). Have had issues with the ignition lock mechanism popping out (making it unable to put key into ignition) or ignition will not turn to start vehicle. Inside light does not always turn on (it doesn't register the driver door is open. ).

Pros and cons of VW Jetta.
Front drivers door does not lock automatically, back drivers side door does not lock or open from outside. Gas mileage is poor. Features are great, love the interior. It is reliable but does have technical issues as stated above. Heated seats are the best part. Automatic sunroof is also nice.

Great family car that will last a long time.
The Volkswagen Jetta is a great, small family car. We have had ours for 6 years with minimal problems. The Jetta is a car that will take you places and great for family trips. The trunk is very roomy for all your groceries or anything needed to fit. We haven't had many complaints with this car at all.
