I bought this car because VOA was hurtin fir certain...............the global diesel emissions scandal really was terrible for VW sales ....... I've no complaints - except that the factory spark plug change at 40,000 miles seems far too soon for double platinum plugs!!!

I love how smooth it drives, I like the room in the back seat and the ample room in the trunk. It's comfortable and I like the look of the front controls area and radio. The maintenance is not expensive to keep up on. The design on the exterior of the vehicle is modern and has smooth lines.

The gli has all the bells and whistles while being fast and comfortable!
This is the only VW that I have owned and I love it. The gli has nice led headlights, side skirts, keyless entry/start, full leather, Bluetooth, navigation and so much more. It is super comfortable and very quick. There is plenty of space in the back for others as well as a large trunk for groceries and more!

Lots of trunk space and extremely reliable.
I love my Jetta, I definitely haven’t had any problems, and keep up on regular maintenance. The reason I would rate 4 instead of 5 stars is based for on features. I hate the lack of sunroof, that a lot of companies put standard in vehicles now. I also hate the grey seats as anything that touches them will stain them. It drives great and other than arthritis it is a wonderful vehicle for anybody.

Great car! Costly to maintain.
I have not had any problems with my Volkswagen Jetta. It could have more pick-up/be quicker, but really other than that it is been a great car! The cost for maintenance is pretty high, though, that is the one thing I do not like!! Some checkups have been $700 plus!

High fuel numbers, reliable (@31k) and fun to drive!!
Summer of 2017, we plunked down the truly great price of $14.3 (OTDD) and never looked back. My wife stalled it on the test drive (she's used to an automatic MB coupe) but this car has surprised us with its' smooth clutch engagement point, easy 5M shifting and high fun to drive co-efficient. Trunk (15.7 feet cubed) is a cavernous asset. At under 3000 lbs with 205 tires installed no one comes close when accelerating into and out of a circular freeway on ramp. No issues to date. About the only negative is that while the selling dealer has a really competitive sales department - - - the service department ain't too competitive.............

This is a super reliable, and safe vehicle. On the road it drives very smoothly and comes with many awesome features that better help your safe driving on the road. It detects your blind spots, comes with a backup camera, and even tells you when you are getting too close to someone. Having this as my first car was a great decision, and super easy to navigate on the road. Easy phone hook-up, automatic start, good gas mileage, and just a reliable and safe car in general.

2017 Jetta review- the good, the bad, and the highlights.
This car is very nice. The only issues I have had are electrical, my screen will sometimes cut out if I am connected via apple CarPlay. Drive power train is good and fast, and the car is nice overall. I would definitely recommend this car to people who are looking- Volkswagen is reliable.

2017 Jetta s is a great car for the money. Very economical.
Good gas mileage, great performance for the price, no significant issues with durability or anything like that. The negatives are cloth interior, sometimes the tire pressure is not great and must be adjusted. Also just got a safety recall for something involving the transmission but apparently it is not dangerous just inconvenient.

The seats are not easy to keep clean with kids. It has good turbo and has ran great for me. I wish the tires were better. It is easy to maneuver and I love the Bluetooth features. I wish I bought leather and a sunroof. I love the ease of the steering. I love Volkswagens it is my third one.

Vehicle is extremely reliable. It is very good on gas and very sporty yet made for a good price. I think it is a great car to have as a young male. It is slick and very good looking for the price. I love the apple connection that it has. I am able to drive comfortably with 5 passengers. The trunk is spacious and I have zero issues with it. The tires are very clean looking and the silver/blue color is very attractive for any gender. I highly recommend this car to anyone.

Great car, but hard to find people to work on it.
I love my car! Sometimes when I need repairs it is a little hard because many people do not work on Jettas. So it can be a little hard to find people, but it has run really well for me and I have only needed minor repairs. I have went 75,00 miles on it and it is still running great.

There is not one interesting thing about Volkswagens.
Expensive car to maintain and use. Seats stain easily (from condensation or rain when you open the door). Not easy to use or learn. Seats are not very comfortable, and do not adjust like most cars. Will never ever buy again, and highly do not recommend.

Sassy and sleek- the Jetta.
I like the vehicle for its looks, it is sleek, looks luxurious, and is put together. I like the interior other than the seats. The seats absorb oils and it leaves stains very easily- not a fan of that. The only maintenance I have ever needed on the car was in the tires. It is a dependable car.

There have been no issues (but there was a recall about "fuel rail bolts" which dealer completed). The little 1.4 turbo - with the 5M - has average just under 41 MPG per Fuelly.com Easy driving car - thanks to good synchros, a light clutch and proper sized wheels/tires for it's weight.

I personally love my car it has great safety features. It drives well it fits into most spots and areas. It is a reliable car and I can switch to manual gears. Sits low, but luxuriant ride.
Very fuel efficient and responsive, a bit low to the road. Potholes are killer. The paint can scratch really easily. Quiet engine is very nice. A lot of modern features. Heated seats are really nice. Ac kicks on really quick. Tires are really prone to damage.

Great performance in all weather, comes in manual transmission! A lot of power for a v4. Turbo has a lot of boost the shape of the car is nice. The color is a great grey. 1.4 liter tank lasts over 400 miles a fill up. Great power. Slightly long for a VW sedan but has great space.

Great car, very few issues.
Love this car. My only dislikes is the seats are low. Otherwise runs great, is comfortable and looks nice. I also sometimes also have connectivity issues with the car connecting to the phone. It often disconnects several times during a drive, which can be frustrating when on a call.

The VW Jetta is compact and reliable
I love the VW Jetta but the model we have has no pickup but that's no fault of the car. We have a 4 cylinder. The interior is beautiful and the dashboard is nice when it's lit up at night. The Jetta was purchased as my daughters first car, it's compact and reliable.

My Jetta!! My Jetta has a sunroof which can be opened easily to see the stars.
We purchased 2 Volkswagen Jettas in 2017. We were able to pay cash for both vehicles which included extended warranties on both. These cars get great gas mileage and have been very reliable cars. Only minor and wear and tear issues have been noted. We have had an air conditioner problem with one car, but it was covered by the extended warranty. Otherwise no problems have occurred.

2017 Jetta se 1.4 liter tsi.
I have had only 1 problem, my engine light came on, then I got it fixed, just a computer reset, then after that I have a faulty blind side sensor and haven't got it fixed yet. Other than that great car, has sports mode, gets about 39 highway, went to Virginia Beach and back which was about 400 miles filled up once.

Good gas mileage, but that is about it.
A lot of issues with heated seats, brakes, blind spot monitor, engine noises. Great gas mileage. Quality of car build not where VW has been in the past. Have had to replace 3 abs sensors in a year, and still had dash lights blinking after changing them and the codes suggested it still needed them replaced. Wouldn't buy again.

Good commuter with good gas mileage.
Good commuter vehicle does well with gas mileage. Always a nice looking car with no mechanical issues so far. Only complaint for me is the cloth interior would rather have leather or a easier to clean surface as the seats can look stained at times. Also wish I would have got something with a bit more power but still gets the job done.

This vehicle has countless safety features to help ensure a safe ride every time. The lights are automatic so no need to worry about leaving them one. The gas mileage is very good so money spent on filling up the tank is not excessive. The size is comfortable for most people and fits into small spaces easily. The ride is very smooth and has good wheel control and acceleration. There is also a sport mode which helps accelerate even faster if needed. Being a German car can have its issues though if one of to end up being in a collision of some sort because the parts to be ordered can sometimes be more expensive than other cars and can take longer to fix. In general this is a very safe and good car though highly recommend!

Perfect commuter car at a good price.
No problems with the car to date and it has over 70,000 miles on it. Overall has been a nice car. Gets good mileage around 40 mpg with the type of driving I do. Trim level is perfect. Leather seats, touch screen interface and power everything. I have a manual which I enjoy but it might not be for everyone.

It gets great gas mileage, seats are not comfortable for long trips. Lighter interior is not the best option with children under 10. Trunk space is amazing. Roomy back seat. No flip down cup holder in back seat. Servicing is very pricey. Oil change is about $100.

VW Jetta not worth the money.
I bought the vehicle new and I had issues immediately with the back drivers side window not working properly. Since it wasn't covered under the manufacturer warranty, I had to pay out of pocket. It has a check engine light and tire pressure light that will not turn off. I have spent tons of money trying to get it turned off. The mirror link for your hands free hookup works when it wants to work. Besides the bad, it gets great gas mileage. I do not have to change the oil for 7500-10000 miles, which saves on money. It is kind of comfortable but not for long trips. Overall okay commuter car. I will not be purchasing a VW again due to all the issues I have with the vehicle.

Reliable, above excellent car.
Great gas mileage, no real mechanical problems thus far. Has been a very reliable vehicle, and the seating is very comfortable especially on longer drives. The base model has tons of cool features including Bluetooth audio and a backup camera. Would recommend this vehicle as a very dependable car.

Sleek starter car with great leather interior.
Overall, this is a great starter car. There is a ton of leg room in the backseat for passengers, and all the seats are leather. The touch screen navigation system is great, you can look at a map while driving and always know where you are going. The only real complaint is that the roof of the car is relatively low, so if you are tall like me, you might feel like your head is touching it when driving.

2017 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4t s.
I bought my Jetta in October this year from Bachman Volkswagen in Louisville through ed silver and I must say it was a great buy. I have driven my vehicle for 400 miles now and it has performed up to my expectation, it gave an average of around 37 miles on highway and around 29 miles in the city. I loved the features in the car especially the ones in the steering. I took my car on a long drive to mammoth caves from Louisville to get a feel of my car and am happy with my decision to go for this car. There is no humming in the car and it is really a worth for money.

It runs smoothly and needs little maintenance.
There are no cup holders in the backseat. I didn't realize it when I bought it. The seat adjusters are manual which isn't ideal but it's alright. It didn't come with a lock/security system so I had to buy one and have it installed. It has caused so much issues and I don't feel safe in my car because it takes like 100 feet to lock my doors because if I lock it sooner than my alarm goes off. I can't lock my car doors and sit in my car or else my alarm will go off. I can't sit in my car with the doors lock and then turn on my car or else the alarm will go off.

One weird maintenance issue.
Weird carbon clogging of the valves at 25k miles instead of 75k miles and it wasn't covered under warranty. Occasionally the manual transmission fails to catch and I have to unshift and shift but generally drives fine. Good steering and brakes. Comfy with a car seat.

Safety of the VW Jetta, why you will have less chance of having accidents.
I am loving the rear backup camera, the side mirrors with the ability to let me know if someone is in the adjoining lanes. The safety features are what are making me feel safe in my car. It has a moon roof which is lovely on a sunny day. The heated seats are something I am looking forward to as the weather cools.

Volkswagen Jetta = great everyday car.
I really enjoy the Jetta. It is a vehicle my partner drives primarily and has served us well over the past few years. The interior is spacious with room to sit 4 comfortably and five if you are utilizing all of the seats. The features on the car make the driving process easier and more enjoyable. The five star safety rating is incredibly appealing and we the safety features everyday, most notably the backup camera. One issue with the vehicle however is with the backup camera. When it is raining or icy, the backup camera is virtually useless which is an area that could be improved upon. Perhaps they could design a piece of plastic to cover the camera or a clear film or spray to keep it clear.

Lack of intuitive displays.
This may be a little premature, as I have only had the car for two weeks, but so far she drives absolutely beautifully. I have quibbles with all the buttons, bells, and whistles--there's just too much to keep track of and they're not intuitively located. I keep having to hint around for the right features.

An interesting detail about my vehicle is that it does not have a key, only a fob.
The best thing about the performance of the vehicle is how smoothly the system runs. Driving for both short and long periods of time is overall smooth. I have only had the car for a short time, but in the short time that I have had it, I have yet to have any performance or reliability issues.

Short fast car with tall snow.
My car is the sport trim. It accelerates nicely and zips around well. I like the backup camera and proximity detectors. The only problem with the proximity detectors is when there is several inches of snow they continuously go off every few minutes even when you turn them off.

The car is very efficient and comfortable. I get 35 mpg consistently and have plenty of space and comfort. I have had no issues mechanically, although I have found that maintenance costs are higher than the equivalent Toyota or Honda. The 1.4t engine is quick enough and runs well on the interstate, however I wish it had a little bit more performance.

Amazing features of the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta.
I love my Volkswagen! It is one of the first cars I have ever had, and it is been nothing but reliable. It gets amazingly fantastic gas mileage, it has apple CarPlay, parking pilot, a backup camera, a sunroof, an extremely roomy trunk, a relatively large backseat, an electrically adjustable drivers seat, and manually adjustable passenger seat. My personal favorite things about my car are it is backup camera and apple CarPlay. I have never had any issues, except when one time the tire light came on and we never figured out why.

The Volkswagen Jetta is an all around family friendly. Comfortable car with a lot of legroom in the front and the back. There is enough room for two bulky car seats and then some. The one thing that sold me was our sun roof and the safety features that come along with it, as in the sensors for passing cars. Having been in a wreck for my previous car.

All the bells and whistles!
2017 VW Jetta: heated leather seats were a huge plus, leather gets cold in the winter. Love the fact that it's a newer car, has all the bells and whistles, emissions sensors, computer, dash lights and warnings, makes it just about impossible to break down for no reason. This car really does talk to you! Great gas mileage and fuel economy, even lets me know what the temperature is outside! All around, it was a great purchase for me.

My vehicle is just the right size for me has heated seats.
I have only had minor problems with this car like a recall and I had to replace tires and wipers. It is very reliable and the gas mileage is really good too. At first I wasn’t a fan of the back up camera because my last car didn’t have one but now I would never buy a car without one. The car is very comfortable and I love the heated seats. I will definitely be sticking with Volkswagen vehicles.

Volkswagen Jetta is awesome and reliable.
Very reliable vehicle, gas mileage is awesome. Live the Volkswagen brand very reliable, easy and trusting. People who sold it to me were great and didn’t give me a lot of trouble when I went to purchase. Caf has great features including Bluetooth, radio, back up camera, as well as the safest record of recovery if an accident has occurred.

It has good pick up for a small car and the gas mileage is terrific.
I have had Volkswagens for about 7 years, I like the dealer, it has great gas mileage and the. Lease price was right.

Fun and fast family car!!
I love this car. It is very comfortable and easy to handle. It has a lot of pick up and go, which I really appreciate with driving in the city and the highway. It gets incredibly good gas mileage. The only problem I have had with the vehicle is a tiny squeal coming from one of the fans when the heat is on and I haven't taken it in yet to VW to see what the repair will be. Other than that, this car is a dream!

Great reliable car- runs well, very comfortable.
I have had my car for several years now and it still runs like new. I have not had any issues with it. It is very comfortable, and my passengers do not mind if they have to ride in the backseat. It is easy to drive, easy to park. The trunk feels very spacious, given the size of the car.

Amazing car that super duper fast.
The car is a very nice car. It runs smoothly and I love they design and the way it can get up to speed super fast and how the people were nice selling it and the intro design and letter and the project good and the color stay nice and shiny and miles are amazing and it tells you what’s wrong with it.

Wonderful, reliable car with great features.
I love carplay, the touch screen and the seat warmers. I also love the mirror feature that lights up when a car comes into my blind spot. The Bluetooth works quite well as well. I went from a 1998 Toyota corolla before my Jetta and I cannot say enough good things. It also feels much safer and it is quieter when I take it on the highway.

The main thing I love about it is I can listen to a movie or show.
I totally recommend this car especially new. Very reliable, no problems whatsoever. Ac extremely cold, Bluetooth radio, deep trunk, and so much more. As a first car this is amazing because for one it is cheap to get fixed but I Haven't had that problem yet.

I like the backup camera feature.
It is a comfortable and good on gas vehicle. I really like the color and the interior of it. I have always had Volkswagen cars but this one is my favorite with all the features it comes with. I would recommend this car to someone who is looking for something sleek and fast.

This vehicle has great reliability! Great fuel efficiency. Heated seats! Amazing acceleration. It has great handling and all the amenities you'd want from a modern day vehicle! The drive is very smooth on the road and comes equipped with multiple malfunction lights to help monitor even the simplest of things.

2017 Volkswagen Jetta review.
Small but reliable and fast enough for to overpass cars, great sound, some minor problems when it comes to using USB for the music from the phone other than that works perfectly. The car isn't very big but it has enough space to carry 4 adults I wouldn't say 5 as the middle seat is very small.

2017 VW Jetta for the win!
My trunk button doesn't work but the car is very reliable considering it was a rental. It rides smooth and is comfortable for a small family. The oil required for the vehicle is a little expensive but the tires aren't. The Bluetooth features is awesome and it's really good on gas mileage.

That car has a lot of computer chips that are recalled. Fix didn't fix it.
It is comp[act good mileage. Good trunk space. Wipers are not good. This vehicle is well made and has great mileage and good console.

I love the apple CarPlay feature it has.
I love my car, great on gas and is extremely reliable. I have never had an issue with it. Its automatic braking has been extremely useful along with the blind-spot detectors. The seats and interior of the car are extremely comfortable, as well, for being such a compact vehicle.

Reliability and fuel economy
2017 Jetta S 1.4 5M purchased summer 2017. Odometer now 34, 610. Fuelly dot com - for the miles indicated - calc's 40.7 in 65 city 35 highway driving..................and if that were not snuff - in those nearly 35k.......no issues at all! The shifter and synchros permit easy shifting; the clutch is light - and the braking matches the powertrain for smoothness. I'd like a new car ('cause I'm stupid)...............but I'm not stupid e nuff to drop and winner............... Ez

I always feel safe and comfortable in my car, its reliable.
This is a very reliable car, I feel safe in it. Super comfortable and sleek. Up to date features like Bluetooth and a backup camera are very nice! It's really easy to drive and is sturdy. It's hard to drive in the snow with but that's a given since it's only 2 wheel drive.

Great gas mileage and music options!
The only problem I ever face is how quickly my a/c started causing problems. Also, the comfortability of the seats are not the best. Overall however, it is a great vehicle. Good on gas, great sound system, and Bluetooth option. I always loved the fact that I could adjust my seat up and down as well.

I love the apple play option.
It is a solid car that performs well in all weather and at all speeds. The sound system is high quality. The seats are comfortable and the car is low maintenance. The sunroof is nice on sunny days and the heated seats are nice when it is cold. This is my second Jetta and I will buy a third.

Love this car, highly recommend!
Such a fun zippy car, and it gets wonderful gas mileage. Very reliable, and let’s me know when things are off or not working 100% properly. I feel so safe which to me is important. Wide and deep seats are super comfortable which is nice for long distance travel. I would definitely recommend this car purchase.
