I have only had one problem, with the engine randomly shutting down while driving randomly. It was repaired under warranty by Volkswagen. Performance is ok for the money, though I wish it had a little more power. Reliability is great, other than the previously mentioned issue. Comfort and features are very nice for the price range.

Sporty and fun to drive! A great car if you like a responsive firm ride.
Well first and foremost, I love the sporty body style of my Volkswagen. That is the main reason we went with the r line trim package. The car is very solidly built and really fun to drive. I always drive in sport mode. I like the technology package which is fairly easy to learn. The sound system is great. One of my favorite features is the big sunroof. Lots of legroom for passengers is the back seat. Good head room. The only option I dislike is the economy mode where the car shuts off at stop lights. It is not a smooth transition from off to on. Thank goodness you can turn this feature off. I wish it could be turned off permanently rather than every time you start the car. This is our first Volkswagen and we would consider getting another one when the lease is over.

The Volkswagen tiguan is a must have!
The space in the tiguan is so nice and the optional 3rd row seat is a plus! The SUV offers a smooth ride and our kids love the space. The truck space is great when you lay down the third row seats as well. We are able to travel with our dogs which was difficult prior to having the tiguan.

The model of this car is spacious and fits a lot more than you think.
The car is very wobbly and every time I hit the breaks it is not a smooth stop it is very aggressive and other people in the car feel uncomfortable. The breaks usually make a squeaking noise and the breaks do not sound great from time to time. However it has never broken down on me and gets me to where I need to go.

Volkswagen tiguan se. Amazing vehicle at a great price point!
We purchased a Volkswagen tiguan se and could not be any happier. We have the additional 3rd row seating, which allows for a larger trunk space. The vehicle drives great and gas mileage has exceeded our expectations. Our last road trip the car averaged 32 miles a gallon. I would highly recommend the tiguan to anyone who is interested!

A nice and safe vehicle for intermediate drivers.
There are different modes of driving depending on terrain, weather, etc. It has a sports mode and automatic headlights. Touch screen dash to navigate music, media, navigation, phone, settings and more. Digital display of speed as well as an estimate of how far your vehicle can travel with the amount of fuel it has. Very reliable vehicle and easy to drive. Appears bigger than how you drive it. Has a panoramic roof which can be closed off. Only downside is the rear seating. Almost no control of ventilation or options to change temperature and no heated seats.

The best vehicle in the world.
I have had no issues at all! It is amazing, fuel efficient, and a smooth ride. It fits a family of 5 comfortably with room for pets and luggage. Seats move easily, storage of optional third row seating is easy as well. Long car rides do not seem as long anymore. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for an amazing ride.

The amazing Volkswagen tiguan.
I absolutely love my VW tiguan. The outside design stands out from other cars. The interior is real leather with heated seats. It is a beautiful, spacious car. Very comfortable to drive, it feels very safe. It has a panoramic sunroof which is a great feature to have because you get to enjoy the sky view. The display screen shows different features including numerical speed, weather, road conditions and many other helpful features. It has the ability to drive in any weather conditions with a quick switch. Very reliable car, I absolutely recommend it.

Great commuter car with great ride.
I have had no problems at all. Got the car with less than 500 miles and up to almost 30,000 due to work related travel. The care has a smooth and quiet ride. It has lots of safety features which was a key factor when purchasing. Love the apple car play.

Tiguan with a tiny 3rd row.
I love the way the car drives. It is a more sporty feel for an SUV. My interior is also something I love about this car. It is very modern and sleek. I have to say I hate the start-stop feature and I wish the vehicle did not have it. I appreciate that there is a 3rd row although it is only big enough for small children.

Great car for the budget driver.
I really like the car for long road trips. The seats are not the most comfortable but I got the base model so that is to be expected. The apple CarPlay works about 80% of the time. Overall for the price I think it is best in class. I also think it looks really sleek. I think I can get it again but in a more upscale model.

Nice car overall! Some minor issues here and there but it drives nice.
Sometimes there's problems with the back lights not turning off and the responsiveness of locking the car without the key fob in hand can be slow. It performs decent for its weight as it has a smallish engine for its size, it doesn't have an all too great acceleration. Very reliable, never broken down on me before. Very comfy for everyone in the car. Hatchback is interesting as it alludes to it being a 7 seater when it's really only 5. But otherwise great!

I love the redesign of the tiguan. They added almost an additional foot for more storage capacity. The technology is years advanced compared to the model before the redesign. The only thing that bothers me is that is takes some time to get rid of fogged windows. They have made it better than it was before the redesign, but I do not see the same issue with other types of vehicles. I like Volkswagen because you get the 'germany design sensibility' for less than you would if you bought a much more expensive vehicle like a Mercedes or BMW.

My Volkswagen tiguan is a very comfortable and reliable family car. My children have room in the backseat, and do not feel cramped. I love that my iPhone hooks up to the Bluetooth automatically. I am able to control my locks and lights from the Volkswagen app on my phone. I am very happy with it!

Comfortable car. Dream car.
It is very comfortable. You can fit two cars seats and a mom in the middle. Drives well and it is silent. Plenty of trunk space in the back. Spacious for feet in the front and in the back. Does not make noise. Engine stops at traffic light. Never had any issues with it.

Summary of Volkswagen tiguan 2019. Fuel door was made cheaply.
Fuel door needed to be replaced and required replacement however it was covered by warranty. Rides smooth, spacious interior, apple carplay. Price was right, good on gas, definitely a comfortable car to drive and ride in. I do plan on getting a new one once my current lease is up.

2019 tiguan sel premium review.
I have had no problems with it so far. This new tiguan model it is definitely better than the previous one, a lot more space in the front and back as well as in the trunk. Chose dark leather seats this time since light leather gets painted with jeans (bluish tone) and wouldn't come off. I feel I save more gas with this new model as well. We usually refuel weekly and we pay something between $35-$50.

Great comfort w/ some interior issues.
I love this car. Few minor issues. Seats often break as far as being able to move up and down. The seat material makes water look like a stain. Sensors go off from time to time that are not an issue. No vehicle problems. Drove the car from la to NY and it was comfortable.

7 passenger, yet still compact SUV.
What I love most about my car is that it is compact in size and yet I can still fit 7 people comfortably. It is great for road trips and also has racks at the top of the car for luggage storage and heavy items, etc. The price point is also a great plus.

I love a big screen which this vehicle has!
Vehicle is very lux for the price and the features that you get! The performance and comfort are good and with the warranty offered I trust it to be reliable. The features are my favorite part about the vehicle, I wanted to have something that offered a third-row but didn't want a large SUV. This is a nice in-between. Amazing Volkswagen tiguan.

Safety features are subpar.
Very comfortable and has all of the top of the line features. However, the way that it has “smart” features (ie. Lane assistance and automatic brakes) is not well thought out. It has a hard time reading the surrounding lines which makes you have to strong arm the steering wheel to stay in the correct lane, and automatic brakes are hyper sensitive and will make you brake with nothing in front of you. These “safety” features end up making the vehicle less safe. Great mileage, very comfortable.

2019 VW tiguan reviews after driving it for two years.
The auto-start on my tiguan is not great. I think the car gets confused when I lift my feet off the breaks and it auto-starts. When I press the gas it goes back and forth first before it starts driving smoothly. Also, the apple CarPlay is always messing up. I am not sure if it's because it needs an update, but I have reset it myself and it starts working again.

Never cared so much about a car before!
It has so many useful features. It had a backup camera. The cat alerts you add you get too close too something, whether in the front or back. It will even break and not let you hit things. It has adaptive cruise control, which is especially great for long trips. It has 7 seats. The back 5 can fold over. It also has a huge moon roof. Great size that does not have that big car feel. Does not ride too high or too low. And so much more! Only negative I have experienced so far is that the android auto app is no longer working for the car to hook up my phone through USB.

My vehicle is reliable. It comes with awesome features such as a sunroof. The trunk is spacious. It also has a cool engine stop/start feature to conserve gas. The leather interior is easy to clean. I think is just crazy, is that this brand new vehicle does not have memory seats.
The driver's seat is not as comfortable as I would like it. I thought the seat would break-in, as the vehicle was new, but it still is not better. The reliability is great and the drive is fantastic. I wish I had been more well versed on the technology features not included in my model, but overall I am very happy.

I love my huge moonroof! It is amazing!
Comfortable seating and nice options. The engine leaves some to be desired. Not a get up and go vehicle. The Volkswagen tiguan is a smaller version of the Volkswagen atlas, with available third row seating. I have a six foot tall son and he is comfortable riding in the front or back seat.

Reads the distance between cars and automatically slows down on cruise control.
So techy. Great on gas! I love the remote start, it is perfect for both winter as well as summer when the car is too hot. It’ll read the temperature and put the ac on! Also great in the winter with the all wheel drive. Oil changes are every 10,000 miles which is also a bonus of not having to go get it done so often!

2019 VW tiguan, a great overall crossover.
This is the first Volkswagen I have owned. Purchased it after owning BMW's for 15 years. I find the quality to be exceptional, the price right and the design pleasing. I especially like the digital readout electronics on the screen and the instrument pod. I'd like it to have a bit more power and economy, but overall I am very happy to have leased the 2019 tiguan.

Ok vehicle but this is what I do not like.
It is slow even though it has turbo. It takes forever for it to get up to speed. While driving at a higher rate of speed on the interstate it seems like it Is Difficult to keep straight and I feel like I am all over the road. The headlights should be all led, not just the daytime running lights.

Great family car with lots of features.
I love the panoramic sunroof and safety features like lane assist. I also have the optional third row. It is small, but perfect for hauling extra kiddos. The engine power could be improved. VW safety report for 2019 tiguan.
The only problem I encounter with this vehicle is the start stop option. At a red light or stop sign I wish wouldn't do that. Other than that I love my vehicle. At times driven on the highway the motion sense will kick in and it'll brake for me when I am still in control of the vehicle and that can be troublesome and cause a headache.

It has many technological features that make driving while trying to make a call or text very convenient. The comfort level is great since it is very spacious and has a big trunk space. The driving is relatively smooth other than the fact that the engine power is not the greatest and sometimes takes a while to hit full speed.

It is such a smooth driving car.
I love the car in it drives very smooth and it is comfortable to take on long car rides. The car reacts quickly and has features that I really enjoy, such as the radio setup. The only issue is that the oil consumption is not quite on par. It might need a new engine but that is because it is a lemon not because it is a bad car.

Very good and comfortable SUV to drive in mountains. Comfortable and tall. A lot of space for storage. You can a lot of features to make it more comfortable to drive. Also, you can add a third row of seats if necessary. Of course it will lower car storage space. Would recommend this one all the way!

Lots of room, perfect for a family or a single person. The double sunroof is a great feature. Many charging ports. Bluetooth. Downfall is the radio completely turns off when you are on the phone, which can be annoying. The Bluetooth sometimes has a hard time when a person is speaking on the phone. The person will sounds distant and makes it difficult. Remote start is awesome. But way too many keys and buttons to press to start it up.

Absolutely love my vehicle. The interior trim is super high quality. The gas mileage is excellent. I get on average 26-28 mpg. It shuts off when stopped to save gas mileage. It rides very smooth, and has great acceleration. Only issue was a small issue with the windshield wipers which is minor and an easy fix.

Great handling, love the 4 motion feature I have never felt so safe driving in the snow. It has been extremely reliable and gets great gas mileage. More than enough room for 2 big dogs in the trunk and love the panoramic sunroof. Great price for the car, couldn't ask for anything more.

Tiguan has a great sunroof and has the ability to have third row seating.
It is good performance just a little slow in take off. I like that it is small enough to feel like I am still in a car, but lots of trunk space. It has great features and is really good on gas. I get about 26 miles per gallon. The handling is great and I appreciate the tech features. The leather holds up well and has good legroom.

Good size crossover for a decent price.
This is a great midsize crossover. If you use the 3rd row seats there isn't much trunk space at all but with them down, it's great. I don't like that the engine turns off if you are sitting idle for more than 1 min. Having to turn the key again can be an issue if you are sitting at a stoplight or backing up and forget to turn the key before you back up!

Economy/sleep engine mode.
It is a great car overall, we mainly bought it because it is clearance was higher than my previous wagon. My one wish is that you didn't have to deactivate the economy mode/engine sleep mode every time you get in the car. Also if you ever add a remote start VW rated aftermarket, it does not activate anything except warm your engine. Being in a very cold and snowy climate, unfortunately it does not work to the standards I was expecting.

Very comfortable vehicle that performs better than I expected for the price. A little bit of a gas guzzler, but handles well. With snow tires, it outperforms my old vehicle which was a Mercedes. The space in the backseat is surprisingly generous. Cargo space is also very generous.

Amazing vehicle overall! It.
I am in love with my tiguan! In the almost two years I have owned it, I have not run across any problems. It runs beautifully and is extremely reliable. As soon as I sat in the driver’s seat, I knew it was the car for me. I primarily purchased it for driving in the snow and it definitely does not disappoint. Great family car, but technology is glitchy.
I love the way the tiguan drives and it has plenty of room for my family. Two car seats and still plenty of room in the trunk! The moonroof is a big bonus, and my kids love that the rear windows go all the way down. I find the technology to be a bit glitchy, especially connecting to carplay.

Comfort and luxury at an affordable price!
Since the day I drove my car off the lot, it has had a smooth ride. We are a family of four and we all fit very comfortably. We even took an 8 hour road trip with 6 people and a week's worth of luggage and we fit just fine. The sunroof and power windows are a great luxury to have because they open and close quickly. I have heated leather seats and they have definitely gotten plenty of use from us during the winter. The side mirrors have defrosters as well and that helps during those cold winter months when the mirrors fog up.

2019 tiguan Volkswagen review: great car!
I absolutely love my Volkswagen tiguan! It drives so smooth. The interior is very comfortable and stylish. I've had my car for a month, and so far haven't had any complaints or problems. Uninspiring but reliable.
It is quite comfortable and spacious inside. 3rd row seats are very cramped and when 3rd row is up there is almost no trunk space. Engine is somewhat underpowered and a little rough sounding acceleration is sedate and uninspiring. Fuel economy poor at best.

I like the rear view camera. So far the vehicle feels safe, good breaks. This model does not have a lot of pick-up as far as acceleration. Good interface with the touch control system. Hard to control heat/cold in the back seat. Lots of room in the back, truck section.

Very roomie! Nice interior.
Love all the room! The third rows laying down is the best part - lots of room for luggage when we travel. The moon roof is also amazing! It is great on really starry nights. The backseat has a ton of room which is also fantastic. Good sound system. The touch screen is huge and functions really well.

Beautiful, reliable, and fun to drive.
The car runs great, handles great, and is comfortable. I have it in white, which looks really nice. I like the automatic start/stop feature. Everything is easy to use and pretty self explanatory. All the safety features are great. The size of the car is great and the interior is roomy. Great trunk size too.

Likes and dislikes of the 2019 VW.
The tiguan is spacious and drives well. The vehicle is good on gas. It is reliable handles well on curved roads and in the snow. Up to date technology. Only dislike is how if windows are down it creates a loud noise and you have to roll them up some to balance them out.

Would definitely buy another when time comes.
Very reliable vehicle always was a domestic buyer but the quality is much better on my Volkswagen good gas mileage smooth ride lot of compartment room would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle dealership provides good service and some extras.

Great compact SUV! Lots of features and a surprising amount of room!
I like the different driving options, especially the snow option for driving in Minnesota! It is easy on gas and is very spacious for a compact SUV. I am 6'6' and fit in this car better than other bigger cars as a driver. Lots of nice features are included on se package for a reasonable price imo.

Low maintenance, well designed vehicle with high end details.
I have had my vehicle for just over one year. So far, I have loved it and it has been a nice upgrade from my previous vehicle. The push start ignition is a selling feature, and the glass touch screen console control is smooth and easy to navigate. The seats are comfortable and have a wide range of adjustments, and the second row is just as comfortable. The package I purchased does not have an automatic trunk, which is the only downside. You can purchase a higher package and it will have that included. Otherwise the vehicle itself is great - runs smoothly, consistent gas mileage on and off the highway, and very low maintenance.

Midsize vehicle that feels like a big SUV!
We love the size of our tiguan. Everyone can ride comfortably, even in the back seat. It drives very smoothly, feels light, but also safe in case of an accident. The Bluetooth connection to both android and iPhone was seamless. The trunk space is quite large and is great for carting around strollers and kid's things. We are able to have two car seats in the back seat and be comfortable with the space.

Great for families at an affordable price.
The one thing I do not like much is the fact that it turns the air conditioning off when the eco system activates. The air feels damp. It is super comfortable, good size, very convenient third row of seats for the kids but missing another air conditioning vent for that row. Good size trunk, good gas consumption, really nice visibility and proximity detection works. Beautiful color and it is easy to park even in narrow spots.

The design of it is really eye catching and appealing to look at.
It's very reliable in most types of weather I am just a little scared to drive in the snow but that's it. It's very comfy and a real joy to ride or drive in. I've driven it everyday for 6 months now and I've loved every bit of it, it's just been a great car.

It is a very smooth ride. The vehicle also has a moon roof which is very enjoyable for the summer months. It's also very spacious and a nice family vehicle. Statistics say that Volkswagen vehicles are a very safe and reliable vehicle and I have to agree. My family is very content with our tiguan.

Reliability, great space, third row and good a/c.
Is a great car have enough space for a family of three, I love the fact that has a third row for when we want to have a family trip with my in laws or my parents. The a/c is great covers the whole space inside the car and I think VW is a reliable brand, been using VW's for the last 7 years.

Roomy with a smooth ride.
The tiguan has 3 rows of seating, 7 people. The last row folds to allow for nice size trunk storage. The vehicle drives well and smoothly. I do not like that a maintenance advisory pops up every time you start the car after 6k miles when full synth e oil is used and doesn't need to be changed until 10k miles.

Overview of tiguan after a week.
Only have had for a week and love it. Quiet and comfortable. Great mileage. Has excellent features and safety features. Beautifully crafted. I feel safe in it and it feels like a luxury car. Many conveniences in it such as blind spot, backup camera and android auto.

Great vehicle nice room and very comfy.
It runs really well. Tons of room for kids groceries etc. Good gas mileage and everything is great. The seats feel super comfy. The turbo is really nice and it gets up to speed quickly. Everything is great for the price. The panoramic sunroof is really nice and the wireless charging slot is awesome.

Bought new 17mon old been left at dealership 6 times, 2 loaner cars!
The car is 17 months old bought new there have been many recalls. I have had to leave the car at the dealership 6 times, have had 2 loaner cars. Rear ac wasn't connected. Faulty sunroof drains lead to leak which lead to all new interior rugs and headliner. Loud engine noises gear shift noise. I love the look, the size, the color, fuel.

Comfort and safety enjoyable ride.
I have had no problems since owning this vehicle. Love the comfort and safety that it provides. Lots of room for passengers and cargo. Have taken it on cross country trips and its very comfortable, not to bad on gas mileage either for the size of the vehicle.

SUV with room to spare and enjoyable to ride.
Great car, reliable, comfortable, nice ride, handles well, have splash guards, protective seat cover in back. It is roomy for kids and adults. Sits above regular cars vision is great. Loads of space for luggage and grocery shopping. Pet friendly with room, goes for miles on one tank of gas. Do not need to fill up for gas for 3 weeks driving around town. Controls are easy to use and locate. Had tinted windows installed to keep out the sun glare.

Functional but cool looking car.
Tiguan is very comfortable and fun to drive. I love the ability to customize the in-dash display, especially the maps. Touchscreen is easy to use. I like the safety features like adaptive cruise control, warning sounds for lane changing and backup camera. I love the all-black look I chose, too.

Amazing vehicle family and friends now want to purchase one.
Comfortable for long drives, reliable, great gas mileage and still has a lot of power with the german engineering. Safety features are awesome, have a panoramic view. Leather seats that are heated. Has third row seating but is a small suv seats adjust very easily.

Amazing vehicle, smaller than expected.
The third row is a bit too small but other than that it is very comfortable. Very reliable and the performance is great! The trunk space is a small but once the third row is put down the space is doubled and decent size. I recommend the atlas for growing into it. This one is good for pre family.

Overall love the driving capabilities of the Volkswagen tiguan.
Lots of power in sport mode. Drive in VT mountain winters, little to no issues when using snow driving mode. Could be a bit wider. Wish it had led headlights. Tiptronic shift ( manual) shift is fluid and smooth. On steering wheel controls are configured perfectly.

Comfortable SUV for a growing family.
This car seems big but it does not feel like it when you are driving it, which I appreciate. There is enough room for my two car seats and room for the adults to sit comfortably in the front. The driver seat is very comfortable and good for long drives.

Love it, minus two things.
I love this car! There are only a couple of thing I would change and that would be, the sensors are pretty sensitive. I wish they were a little less, especially when parking, a single small curb will send them into overdrive. The other thing I would change would be the auto start stop. I wish they had an override for this. It's not good for the started. Other than that it is a great comfy car.

Included a free bike rack.
Seems clunky at times. And the steering feels off. Also do not like the automatic engine turn off. The inside of the car can be really loud when driving with the windows up sometimes. I don't really have any other problems with the car. It is comfortable to sit in and the interior is nice.
