Great car! Luxurious yet sporty.
I really like this vehicle. It is quite luxurious and comfortable. It is sporty looking and feeling yet has class and style as well. I have not had any problems with it mechanically. The paint seems to scratch easily. I'm not sure if that is normal for paint these days. It is a dark gray color.

Excellent comfort and safety.
The comfort of this vehicle is outstanding. I have never had any problems except typical maintenance upkeep. The car is not the best of gas mileage. This vehicle feels heavy when driving, but that adds some reassuring comfort when driving. I feel safe up front, as well as I don't fear for my child in the back seat. There is plenty of room for passengers as well as storage. The seats fold over very easy to extend storage in the rear. The interior is leather which has split over time, but that is expected with normal wear and tear. Any mechanical issues that have needed to be taken care of have been more pricey because it is a German car. Even with all of that, the safety and comfort of this vehicle outweighs any negative comments said about this vehicle.

VW touareg greatest used car ever.
2012 VW tdi has gobs of power, amazing gas mileage, and drives like a Porsche. Quiet interior, great touchscreen navigation and sound system. This was part of the dieselgate scandal so VW bought them from the previous owner and had to convert the emission items that were tricking smog checks. Because of this they offer a near bumper to bumper warranty for 4 years on a used car. Pretty awesome deal.

Low maintenance and high mileage.
Diesel vehicle which allows me to drive for eight to nine days without refilling. Reliable and low maintenance. Very spacious inside sitting comfortably five people. Drawback is that there is not too much space in the back to put a large grocery purchase.

The utilitarian vehicle you need.
The Volkswagen touareg is an amazingly powerful and utilitarian vehicle. With the tdi-lux it is nothing but comfort with leather interior, panoramic sunroof, climate control, Bluetooth, auxiliary input, and the 19” wheels for perfect control. The large 24 gallon tank let’s you travel far and wide!

The 2012 Volkswagen touareg.
I purchased a 2012 Volkswagen touareg in January of this year (2020) and I love it! We chose the lux edition which includes a sun/moonroof, leather interior w/heated seats, and four wheel drive. I live in an area where we get a lot of snow, and this car rides like a beast! Half a foot of snow? No problem. I felt completely safe driving through winter storms know my vehicle had the weight and ability to keep me on the road. It is a diesel SUV, but the mileage is very doable! I would highly recommend this vehicle for a starter family rig! The back seats can fold down for extra space for trips or simply hauling something you've purchased. The only thing I can think of that I’d want to add to this vehicle to make it better would be remote start for the winter months!

Comfortable and spacious!
The performance of the 2012 Volkswagen touareg is exceptional. The adjustable seating ensure that long distance driving will not be uncomfortable, in addition to the seat heaters which help a lot during winter. The car has spacious back seating with ample trunk space which makes sure that when you are going out on trips, you can take your friends with you and still have ample space to bring crucial equipment.

Best vehicle for winter driving.
The Volkswagen touareg is a strong well made car. It drives like a car but can perform like a truck. I ski and have been in snow storms in Vermont and the car barely will ever even slide. It is comfortable and spacious enough for me without moving up to a more expensive vehicle. I have really never had any mechanical problems with it.

Unreliable
This is by far the worst car I have ever owned. I owned many other manufacturer cars but this was my first Volkswagen. It will be my last. In and out of the shop at least once a month for various problems. PS you best hope the flex pipe doesn't break unless your pockets are deep.

Its silver and is a European car.
Drives great, cost alot for oil changes. Silver color with stock rims and tires. Base model with navigation system. Has lasted for 8 years and rarely have had any major problems with the vehicle. I find myself driving it often to work and other places due to the great gas mileage.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Jacques L.

My car is very reliable, it has had no problems. My car is also very spacious and luxurious, I highly recommend this vehicle to others. The AWD system get me through all sorts of weather, and it is amazing in the snow.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Jacques L.

The only cons I have for this car is that it takes premium gas, which costs about $75 to fill up. Another con I have is that the gas mileage is not the best but is adequate. Overall though I love this car.
