The Latest Subaru Models

Impreza: $18,795 – $26,395

The Impreza features all-wheel drive on all trim levels, so even if you prefer the base model, you will be able to go where you want to go or make sure you get to your destination during inclement weather. Enjoy more passenger room than other models, too.

Additional specifications and features include:

  • 28 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway on the base model
  • Up to 100.9 cubic feet of passenger volume
  • 152 horsepower Subaru Boxer engine
  • Standard Eyesight Driver Assist Technology, even in the base model
  • Subaru Starlink Multimedia
  • Harmon Kardon stereo system available

The 2021 Subaru Impreza received a five-star overall rating for safety from the NHTSA; and for the 2020 model, a rating of “Good” from the IIHS. The IIHS has not rated the 2021 model yet. Additionally, the IIHS awarded the Impreza with Top Safety Pick for 2020.

The 2020 Subaru Impreza received a 4.36-Star rating for owner reviews and a 4.3 rating for expert reviews.

Legacy: $22,895 – $36,145

The Legacy comes with a 2.5-liter engine that makes 182 horses, active torque vectoring, and LED steering responsive headlights to make it easier to do what you want to do, whether that is driving at night or during the day in inclement weather.

Additional specifications and features include:

  • 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway
  • 105.5 cubic feet of passenger volume
  • Standard symmetrical all-wheel drive
  • Advanced adaptive cruise control is standard on all trim levels
  • Eyesight Driver Assist technology standard on all trim levels

The Subaru Legacy has a five-star rating for overall safety from the NHTSA, as well as an overall “Good” rating from the IIHS. Additionally, the Legacy received the Top Safety Pick+ award for the 2020 model year.

Owners rated the Legacy with 4.67 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.3.

Crosstrek: $22,245 – $27,995

Owners rated the Legacy with 4.78 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.6.

Forester: $24,795 – $34,895

The Forester comes with 8.7 inches of ground clearance and X-MODE to take you just about anywhere you want to go. This model also features a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission and can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Bring a small camper with you, or haul your sporting gear on a small trailer.

Additionally, owners rated the Legacy with 4.75 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.6.

Outback: $26,795 – $39,945

The Outback comes with a standard hands-free power liftgate on the Outback Limited, Touring, and Onyx Edition XT models. This feature is optional on the Premium and not available on the base model.

The Onyx Edition XT comes with a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that makes 260 horsepower.

The other trim levels feature the 2.5-liter engine that makes 182 horses.

The Subaru Outback has a five-star rating for overall safety from the NHTSA, as well as an overall “Good” rating from the IIHS. The Legacy received the Top Safety Pick+ award for vehicles made after October 2019.

Additionally, owners rated the Legacy with 4.59 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.6.

Ascent: $32,295 – $45,445

Owners rated the Legacy with 4.71 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.5.

BRZ: $28,845 – $31,495

The BRZ has a low center of gravity to help it stay tight in curves. The 2.0-liter Boxer engine puts out 205 horsepower and has a 7,400 rpm redline. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available on the Limited trim level.

  • 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway
  • Available performance package
  • Quick ratio steering and sport-tuned suspension
  • Standard navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Eyesight driver assist technology standard on all trim levels

The Subaru BRZ has not been rated by the NHTSA. The IIHS did a partial crash test, giving the BRZ an “Acceptable” rating for the driver’s side small overlap front crash test and “Good” ratings for moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, headrests, and seats.

Additionally, owners rated the Legacy with 5.00 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.6.

WRX: $27,495 – $41,695

The WRX features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 268 horsepower on the base, Premium, and Limited trim levels. The STI and STI Limited come with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that makes 310 horsepower.

Additional specifications and features include:

  • 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway
  • 268 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 258 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,000 rpm
  • Standard symmetrical all-wheel drive
  • 310 horsepower on the STI trim level
  • Starlink Safety and Security on the Limited, STI, and STI Limited trim levels

The Subaru WRX has not been tested by the NHTSA but received an overall “Good” rating from the IIHS.

The Legacy received the Top Safety Pick award for the 2020 model year on trim levels with optional front crash protection and LED projector headlights with high-beam assist and curve-adaptive technology.

Additionally, owners rated the Legacy with 4.67 stars, and professionals gave the Subaru Legacy a rating of 4.3.

W hat R ealy S ucks
Over all this car is absolutely fun to drive i'ts not full of cup holders and gizmos to distract you from the task at hand DRIVING that said, my bigest complaint is actually with one of the gizmos LOL. The tek in the radio is terrible really Subaru fans, chuck it for a reliable after mkt one Also, the co. Is in- battled in lawsuits over glass. The front WRX glass is 858.00 I'm ready for #3 and, going after mkt as they are easily chipped and cracked. Make sure insurance you pick is not 1000.00 deductable type dealers do not replace chipped or broken glass nor do they admit it is the WRX that is in those suits they say its EYESIGHT models.
