The 2015 Honda Odyssey oil type and capacity is 0w-20 and 4.2 quarts. Having high quality oil is important for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into problems with the oil at some point. Old or bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. Knocking noise may come about from the engine. You could experience terrible gas mileage. A common problem is an awful burning odor. This needs to be viewed closely as soon as possible or the car might explode. Your oil needs to be changed out someday. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles or so is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be problems with the engine.

The 2015 Honda Odyssey has a 3.6L V6 engine that runs best on SAE 0W-20 synthetic motor oil. The minivan has an oil capacity of 4.2 quarts without a filter change and filter 4.5 quarts with.

15% is the life of the oil, not the quantity. You'll need to change oil soon when the dash tells you. And you'll change all 4.5 qts of it. As for "topping up" the amount of oil in the engine, be sure to keep it near the top of the acceptable range on the dipstick. Figure about 1 quart from bottom of that range to top of range.
