The Ford Flex has a towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds depending on the options. This is usually enough to tow a small camper behind it. If You need to tow a camper a long distance on the highway then I recommend that You get a larger SUV that has more power because the Flex will be rather bogged down driving at highway speeds with the maximum towing capacity being pulled behind it. If You do decide to tow long distances with the flex iAlso recommend making sure that Your transmission's oil cooler is working because if it is not working it could lead to the transmission overheating.

The Flex rather easily tows a 4,000 lb trailer a long distance at highway speeds AS LONG AS there is not long, steep grades.

The Ford Flex 3.5L EcoBoost V6 (AWD) has a towing capacity of 4,500 lbs so as long as the camper weighs less than 4,500 lbs it can be towed
