The Cadillac XT4 features a compact but powerful, 2.0 liter 4Cylinder turbocharged engine witH237 hp; 258 lb-ft of torque and up to 2,500 pounds of towing capacity. However flat towing is not recommended for this vehicle, or recreational hauling behind a camper. Most automatic transmissions can suffer severe damage if a vehicle is not designed for flat-towing. The XT4's AWD precludes it from being pulled behind a tow truck. When towing, drive wheels are kept safely elevated off the ground. In AWD vehicles, all wheels are used for driving and the XT4's should be moved via a flatbed. Additionally, due to the design of the XT4's drivetrain, maintaining all four wheels down for an extended period of time could force manual operation of the transmission without lubrication, causing further damage.

Sadly you can't dingy tow the Cadillacs, so you can go to the Linclon Nautilus 2.7 L and flat tow it. Very silly of GM!
No, the Cadillac XT4 was not designed to be flat towed.
