The 2011 Ford Fusion comes with three different engine options, from the 2.5 L 4Cylinder, to the 3.0 L V6, to the 3.5 L V6. I believe that all three configurations come with a timing chain, which should typically last the lifetime of the car (chains have an estimated lifetime of around 250,000 miles). Contrast this to belts, which should be changed every 50,000 to 100,000 miles due to routine wear and tear. However, sometimes the shoe's on the other foot. If You ever need to replace Your timing chain, You can expect the repair to cost upwards of $2,500, mostly because of the labor put into it. However, if nothing goes wrong (like Your chain becoming stretched or otherwise damaged), You'll never have to replace it just because of wear and tear.
