If the theft deterrent system in a 2014Cadillac XTS is not working properly then the first thing that You should do is try to reset it. Resetting the system is pretty straightforward and easy to do. The first thing that You should do is lock all of the doors then unlock just the driver's side door. After that You will need to turn the vehicle in the on position and turn it off and on two more times. After that the security system should turn off and You will be able to start Your car again. If You have repeated problems with the security system then You should let Cadillac take a look at it to make sure there is not any problem with the body control module.

To reset the alarm on the 2014 cadillac xts you need to lock all the doors, then unlock the driver side and put the key into the on position. Now turn it off and then back on twice and it will reset.
