The 2001 Nissan Frontier will be fitted with two oxygen sensors that can be found on the exhauSTSystem of the car. There will be one before the catalytic converter and one is after. The firSTSensor is at the end of the exhaust manifold and right where the exhaust pipe meets the manifold. The other O2 sensor can be found just after the catalytic converter on the exhauSTSystem. To replace the o2 sensors You will need to locate and remove them which is not very difficult and the process will take about 1 hour in total labor time. The prices for a new sensor will range from $25 - $40 depending on if You purchase an aftermarket or OEM part.

The 2001 Nissan Frontier oxygen sensor varies by the engine size. The sensors are located either underneath the hood or underneath the car. The oxygen sensors are connected (screwed) to the exhaust pipe, either in front or back of the catalytic converter. The front (upstream) sensors measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust system. The rear (downstream) sensors are located behind the catalytic converter.
