What are some of the nissan kicks cvt transmission problems?

I just bought one " what will be done to help me when these problems happen to me?

I have had my 2019 Kicks for 2 years now, about a week or 2 after I bought mine, I started noticing a vibration when braking almost to a stop but not stopping completely, I contacted the dealership where I bought it from numerous times over the next few weeks, which wouldn't work with me on getting my kicks in to get it checked out by the dealer service center while it was under warranty. But all I kept getting was the run around, fast forward to present day, & the warranty is out & now the final drive gear is slipping & jerking when trying to shift to the final gear... Now I'm looking at a cost,well more than I can really afford, & not sure what to really do. Nissan is of no help for nothing as to getting the problem fixed...

I have noticed the shifting issue as well. Just bought my Nissan Kicks and tugs when shifting to different gears. There is a grinding sound too. Also acceleration issues, especially when I have the air conditioner on.

I screwed up, I just bought a 2023, and when it shifts around 40 mph the transmissions slips... Now I read all these problems, I wish I had bought a Ford.. I'm 70, disabled, and now very bummed out... Limited income,

I bought my 2021 Nissan kicks on July and it has only been 7 months and already the transmission failed and we had to bring it in for repair.

Total Junk CAR!! Nissan should be ashamed. The days of great nissans are over. All they do at the dealer is give me the run around. All lights light up on the dash and it loses power when it feels like it.

I was not aware, when I bought my 2021 kicks that they had a transmission problem. What can I do if it’s not insured.

Nissanwas ordered to REPLACE my 2018 kicks back in June. I beat them. They had until Aug to replace it. Come December and they claim they couldnt replace it. Now it is January and they want me to sign a gag order and repay me all my payments for a kicks that had nothing mut issues since at 8k miles. I have multiple videos and videos of all issues. Breaking down while in drive, sounds, error messages, system shutting down etc...... I have all issues listed above. They ate not being held accountable and neither is the BBB. Do not go the BBB way for they are not organized either. I am trying to research other options for Nissan is now saying they will give me x amount of days to accept all payments minus milage used from 1st issue order, minus tires and extras I have put on that car in thinking I was going to purchase the car outright and have me sign a no sue document.... Anyone else going through this???

Have 2020 kick not shifting in to high gear

2021 Kicks with 19000 kms and transmission was replaced. New one acts strange. Runs at higher RPM ie: flat road at 120 km/h its at just over 3000 rpm where before it was under 2000, revs excessively high when feathering the gas up a slight incline, has hesitation on takeoff. Thank God its a lease.

Common nissan kicks cvt transmission problems include transmission failures as well as slipping out of gear.

My 2019 Nissan Kicks engine light went on at 14,000 miles. Took it in for repairs and found out it needed a valve replacement in the transmission. Took the Nissan mechanic 4.5 hours to repair. Thank goodness it was under warranty. Needless to say, I sold it!

Have 2021 Kicks - bought brand new - now 6 months transmission gone, waiting up to 2 months for a new one to come in.

2020 kicks needs a new transmission at a cost of $ 7000. Why did they not fix it long ago when they know it no good. Transmission?

2019 Kicks owner-Transmission went out and set us back $6000. Car sucks and Nissan should recall and owners should be compensated. Transmission auto repair said it's a joke and they put refurbished transmissions in with a 12,000 mile or 1year warranty. Leaves everyone upside down realistically. Must fix to drive or fix to trade and no dealer is eager to get a Kicks! Nissan screwed the consumer!

I bought a 2019 kicks and the car started having issues such as studdering during acceleration,no warning no lights saturday got my oil changed and tuesday my car just stopped accelerating and than wouldnt jump into gear, towed it to the dealer and they said iit was the transmission and it would cost 8,600 ,,, wtf

My car is a Nissan 2020 Kicks.I bought it in 2022 with 56,000 miles on it. I'm currently at 88,000 miles. I just took my car to a transmission shop for my CVT. I couldn't drive in second gear and my car started shaking so bad when I went up a hill. I'm coming out of pocket over $5000 to fix it. As soon as I can, I am trading this car in. It is great on gas but the man at the shop told me he fixes Nissan's more than any other car. How many miles doesn't matter.

Told the dealership, Devon Nissan that the new 2020 kicks I bought transmissionwas slipping twice. They literally said nothing. Got worse over time, doesn't engage, slipping. I called Nissan customer service, they told me to go to local dealership and get it dionagois ($90.00 out of pocket. ) they told me It needs a whole new transmission. $6,000 . Nissan offered to pay half. I said. I don't have it, what ifIget in an accident, and someone gets hurt? "hopefully that won't happen".

Nissan Kicks 2019 in mint condition (43,000 miles), being taken care extremely well. However, few days ago started the shift issue from gear 1 to 2. Just stopped at the side moves the gears up and down and drived normally again.

I have a 2019 nissan kicks and got it March of 2022. Haven't had it a full year and on transmission #3 and it is bad as well. Very terrible experience. Warranty company replaced it twice and still the same issue

Just got a 2023 Kicks less than 5000 miles starting to have trans problem in shifting. Can’t get it in to have it looked at for about 2 weeks thank god that this is a lease.

I bought a 2021 Nissan Kicks SR and not only was I screwed on the deal at Tom Peacock Nissan in Houston, TX now finding out at 31,700 miles that it needs a new transmission and thank God it’s still under warranty but what comes after I hit 36k miles! Ugh I bought this car because my widebody scat pack Challenger was stolen so I downgraded seems it was a bad deal all the way around for me!

I have a 2018 kicks and the transmission vibrates and slips when trying to accelerate. Slow at catching a gear when pulling off. This is my 3rd Nissan and it will definitely be my last.

I have a 2020 Kicks the 1st year Oct 2021 all the dash board sensor lights turned on they had it for over a month said it was fixed i picked it up drove off and about 10 min driving they all came back on. Called the dealer turned around took it back. Another 12 days they kept it. Said it was fixed picked up again then Christmas Eve Dec 24th 2022 Again dash board lights turned on and shifting problems won't go drive or reverse had to leave it were it was had to call a tow to pick it up had to use the chains to put it on the flat bed cause it didn't have enough power to drive it up the tows flate bed to take it to the dealer again. They said it just needed to be reprogrammed. Now again Jan 18th 2023 the same thing happened not shifting to drive forward or reverse tow again to dealer. Have to wait for response.. I put in a claim of my issues said had to wait 2 to 3 days for a call..I'm requesting a replacement for my car.

I have 2019 kicks with 57000 miles on when check engine light came on had it diagnosed the cvt A clutch pack which require transmission replacement fortunately it is under warranty and Nissan is going to replace it.

I do know that 2 employees from NMAC has been let go from the way they handled things. I can not publicly list or say names until Nissan follows through with the judge's order.

I replaced my 2020 Kicks transmission at 5000 miles. It is just a matter of time before this new transmission fails as well. It is an awful design and it really acts bad when its in sport mode. I hate this car.
