What might cause my 2016 mercedes c300 check engine light to come on?

There are many reasons that the check engine light would come on in a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. There are many sensors that monitors various aspects of the engine's performance. The sensors monitor everything from the fuel going into the exhaust coming out. If anyone of these sensors detects a problem, it will send a signal to the computer which will cause the check engine light to come on the only way to accurately diagnose the issue is to connect a scanner to the obd-II port. The scan tool communicates with the vehicle computer and will display the trouble codes that the computer has stored.
