Brand reputation. Color. Style. Design. Safety of the car. Reliability. It is an investment. Although the service costs are sometimes a bit expensive, they are not as often. BMW represents style and luxury. It is a sign of success.
Nice drive, safe, good in bad weather, nice extra features. The car transitions smoothly to higher speeds. I have never had a problem with the car and it has been very reliable. The service that comes with the car is good as well. The run flats are an excellent safety feature and you really are able to drive on it if your tire pops.
Love the heads up display that the vehicle has - showing speedometer and navigation on the windshield for the driver. The economy option when driving is also great for increasing gas mileage. The car itself is spacious and comfortable, with more space available in the back if you lay the seats down.
1. Good performance and fuel usage. 2. Excellent passenger/cargo room. 3. Luxurious cabin. 4. Well insulated interior. 5.I like the accessories that it harbors. 6. Pleasant to the eyes. 7. It holds a good value.
It is definitely the price of the car. BMWs tend to be very expensive and the check up and maintenance costs are also expensive. Specially for small things like for example check the air pressure in the tires.
I really cannot find anything negative with the car. With the run flats though they are safe, are hard tires and can pop easily on city roads filled with potholes. Though it is a little more money, it is a good idea to invest in the tire insurance that BMW offers.
Maintenance can be pricey, and it is a little inconvenient having to use a BMW specific dealer for the maintenance, but otherwise, I have no complaints so far on the vehicle. It has been great to use and meets all the criteria I was looking for.
1. Poor rough terrain performance. 2. The engine stop-start feature is unrefined. 3. Lacks standard active safety features. 4. Loses a lot of its value quickly. 5. Repairs are quite costly. 6. Many of the standard updates that come with other vehicles are missing.
The 2017 BMW X3 has an average owner rating of 4.61 out of 5 which ranks it #6 of 17 other Luxury Compact SUVs.
