The running board width makes my 5'5 frame sometimes hard to get in the car. It is quiet, comfortable, high tech. The car handles very good. A lot of buttons, so really read your manual or work with a service advisor. I enjoy this car on our long road trips. Fits all our luggage in the back.

Very comfortable and reliable. Have had zero issues with it. The features are great, however, the music from phone to car has connectivity glitches every now and then. I love the sport mode feature where you are able to drive much differently that the comfort mode. The interior and exterior is beautiful.

Way more “creature features” than the American options around the same price point. The performance is on par with a sport sedan with the 50i v8 engine and thank god for remote start for the first time in a while BMW offers it. My other option I was looking at was the srt grand Cherokee.

Technology will be plentiful. Bmw parking assistant is included on all x5s as standard, and can automatically select and maneuver the vehicle into parallel parking spaces. Other options include the driving assistant professional package, which adds lane change warning, rear-end collision warning and adaptive cruise control, capable of automatically braking and accelerating the car to motorway speeds from a standstill.

Best care I have ever driven.
I love this car, the performance is great, feels safe and have no issues. Super reliable, comfortable and great to use for a family. The features are user friendly and help to keep you very informed when something may need to be looked at such a low tire pressure or a maintenance check or when service is required. I have had no problems with my car and I drive it every day to and from work, in traffic as through an extensive commute. We have taken my car on vacations and used as a daily driver. I have had many other cars in the past but the BMW x5 is my absolute favorite and I don't have any plans on switching or changing. I will drive BMW's from here on out.

Glad I went back to the BMW x series.
It is well built very sturdy. Drives smoothly. The maintenance package is good. This is my third BMW x series. Had a Mercedes SUV in between but went back to BMW. It gets pretty good gas mileage. I have never had an issue with any of the BMWs I have owned. It is roomy the radio and navigation system works very well. My only complaint would be that the back doors do not open very wide. It makes it hard for my dog to jump into the car. I have owned the x3 and x5. I prefer the x3 because it is a little smaller but it is personal preference on the size.

No regrets— although maybe too high tech?
I love the luxurious interior package- the leather is smooth, the seats have massagers & the lane assist has made commuting to work so much more enjoyable. I have not mastered the self parking yet, & I am not sure the system identifies spots as efficiently as it should- so it makes me nervous. Additionally, I sometimes turn the volume up on accident due to my hand motions & the car coming equipped with touch less means to adjust it.

A very solid and safe vehicle. It handles well in all weather conditions. I like the ability to control features with hand gestures so I remain focused on the road. I am pleased with its gas mileage on both city and highway. My only issue has been I am unable to pair my garage opener but that is because my opener is older.

I love this car! It is important to me when driving that I feel safe in whatever car that I have. This car ensures me that I am as safe as I can be with all the features. It is quick to alert you if anything is malfunctioning and it is an overall great vehicle. I have had it for a little over a year now and have had no big issues which I have had many issues with cars before this one, so that comes as a relief. A feature that I enjoy the most would be easy accessibility to any information in regards to my vehicles. It even shows me the weather outside on my home screen!

My x5 has been extremely reliable. It has a smooth drive. Most importantly it is quite while windows are up. It is the most comfortable vehicle I have had. Gas mileage is decent for an SUV. The sound system is welcoming. It is a beauty as well! Perfect vehicle!

Great with a few improvements.
My vehicle looks great, has almost every safely and technology feature that you could imagine. When connected to the car Wifi and Bluetooth technology for apple CarPlay, it is difficult to use other phone apps and email. Also, there are no apple USB plugs in the back of the car. The car drives well overall, but the handling is not the best when you drive at higher speeds. Overall I love this car and the extra features.

I love the spoilers on the back they give the vehicle a sleek, fast look.
It rides like a dream, so smooth and you can barely hear the engine at all. There are so many features on it as will that keep me connected and informed and help the safety of the vehicle as well. I love my massage heated/cooled seats. My car has an assisted driving feature and it also can park itself. The steering wheel is so easy to turn. The seats are so comfortable. It has heated seats in the back. I have a charger in my front console and it is so easy to charge my cell phone. I love to drive my car anywhere.

The most interesting is the massaging seats.
It is the ultimate driving machine. It is sporty, very comfortable. It has heads up display so you do not have to look down at the speedometer. The navigation system is exceptional. You can say hey BMW and it will answer you, change the radio station, call someone for you. It has m sport brakes which stop on a dime and m sport steering wheel that makes it look sporty. It has heated and cooled seats it also has massaging seats that can be adjusted on the door panel. It has a lowering system to lower the vehicle allowing you to get in and out of the vehicle easily.

Although my car is not that gas efficient I am enjoying it tremendously. The modern features are captivating. Greatly designed interior as well as exterior. The tires are high end and built for rough roads and terrains. With a towing capacity of around 6,000 and a 6 cylinder engine... Who can go wrong? The exterior is a combination of luxurious and sporty. Very roomy interior and cargo space. Ergonomic, convenient and really ease of driving makes the BMW one of my favorites! This vehicle is a driver's dream. Awesome screen and sound system. A breeze to keep up. Smooth riding I might add. Plush inside and out. Almost feels like sitting in a living room in a million dollar mansion. I adore everything about my BMW.

2019 x5 550i mine is a lemon. First the control knob broke. Later the controller panel shorted out. The safety features don’t work properly. In the rain it’ll slam on the brakes ocassionally thinking I’m about to hit a pedestrian or another car or something. I HATE my car

This is a fantastic vehicle with ridiculously fast acceleration and very tight steering. The seats are very comfortable and adjust multiple ways to fit every passenger. The sound system is awesome. And I especially like the hands-free trunk/lift which is handy when your hands are filled with grocery bags.

My car is amazing I really love it. Although I got rear ended and it took 4 months to get a bumper from Germany. That is my only complaint other than that the car fits and drives perfectly. It can even fit all of our luggage which is six's suitcases.

If you have not experienced the handling of a BMW and it is drive, you must!
The x5 is a smooth ride as well as drive. For an AWD SUV, the speed is nice too. Decent gas mileage and fits five adults comfortably for road trips. The auto off “savings” is a little annoying so I often drive in sport mode or go into the system to turn it off. Everyone raves about CarPlay. I am not a fan. I rarely use it because it controls too much of my iPhone features while plugged in/connected. Maybe it is for safety reasons but no thanks. The touchless, hand motions for the entertainment system is nice but could be improved. Sometimes it responds. Sometimes it mutes the music instead of turning up like I motioned for.

Beautiful Vehicle, Many Problems
This is my fourth BMW X5. I long for any one of my previous X5’s. I leased the 2019 in January and since that time it has locked me out of it, been towed due to mechanical failure, and now it’s been at the dealer for 3 days because the computer keeps crashing after fixing two recalls. The apps don’t work consistently, the lighting preferences keep defaulting and its an overall inconsistent experience. Of course it drives and handles like no other, but I’ve never had a BMW like this one and I’ll be shopping for a different make and model when this lease is up.

Overall I love the vehicle. So far I have had no mechanical issues and has been very reliable. It has been extremely comfortable on long road trips, quiet, but also a very driver friendly vehicle. The controls and layout and easy to use while driving, more so than other vehicles I tested in this price range.

This is an extremely comfortable vehicle. It drives great. It is got sports-sedan acceleration and is a relative bargain in its price class. The only issue is that the air conditioner takes too long to cool off. The back seat area stays pretty warm. I also wish it had adaptive cruise control.
