2013 Buick Verano Reviews

I've had this Verano for over a year. Some of the things I like about it are that it's extremely comfortable, the heated seats and steering wheel work great especially in winter, the car drives nice, and it looks great. Now time for the complaints, strap in. Reliability with this car with my personal experience has been...Less than stellar. I bought the car with low miles in October 2020 (38k to be exact) and the car has given us problems since. After two days of ownership, a problem with the side blindspot monitoring sensor appeared, fixed even though the mirror no longer lights up when somebody is in my blind spot, I'm a good enough driver where I don't need that. February 2021, the engine started to sound awful, much like a diesel engine, parked it and waited a week for the car to be towed. Right before the car was towed, I started it up. Once it was started up, it sounded absolutely horrible, plus the check engine light was on. Found out the thing was burning oil since and before we bought it, and let me add we only drove 3,600 miles. The whole top half of the engine was fixed under warranty (as it should have been) and that problem has been fixed. However, there is more. As many GM vehicles have had problems with, an error came up on my helper screen "Shift to Park" when I was trying to shut the car off. It did this half the time I tried to stop the car. Had a dealer look at it, was not covered under warranty, and there goes $600. The thing currently rattles on the highway, no idea why, but I've driven it to North Carolina and Michigan and it drives fine like that so I leave it. The car is really low to the ground, and I'm very tall, so it's hard to get and out of it, plus my head always touches the top but is fine for shorter drivers (I'm 6'3"). The climate control buttons are starting to peel off, as I've seen many of these do. Lastly, let's talk about the faulty touchscreen. With my experience, the touchscreen at random times will freeze, black screen, or just refuse to work, but this is rare, I will admit. One day backing out of the driveway, I put the car into reverse and the backup camera was bright yellow, which not only got rid of the camera but shined so bright it was difficult to see. It went away after this drive, guess the electronics needed time to shut off and restart. Overall, though this car is very comfortable, power is alright for me and it rides good, that really doesn't make up for all the problems that I could have paid for, and because of this and the fact that I simply don't fit in my own car anymore, I will be selling it.

My vehicle struggle sometimes with its Bluetooth audio. Because you always have to reset it I do not understand why it just does not connect when are you going to the car but you also have to say Bluetooth audio forward to play and push a button on the dashboard. Also as everyone knows the older model is the more you have to put it in the shop and lately it is been going in and out in and out with the engine and all in my check engine light keeps coming on.

This car has back up cameras, Bluetooth, leather seats, and plenty of legroom. It beeps when you get too close to something going in reverse, and it has the lights in the side view mirrors that help tell you if anything is in your blind spots. I highly recommend this vehicle, but make sure you get a tune up as often as possible, and don't go months without driving. The radio shuts off and on and then the 'aux in' clicks off and on on its own if you do this. I am dealing with that right now.

This car is excellent. I'drives great, and that includes in rain and snow. I feel safe in the cabin. The noise on the road is not too bad, and visibility is great. The car has a backup camera which is great for knowing when you are very close to another car or the curb behind you while parking. The only drawback to this car is that when it is raining or damp, there is a defect which causes the inner filter to smell mildew, and if your air conditioning/dehumidifier is on, you will get an odor inside the car for the first few minutes. There is an aftermarket repair that you can have done, but it costs, so I do not worry about it. The dealership told me it is something Buick is aware of and they fixed the problem in later models. But for that one issue, this car is worth it!!

I love the verano. Excellent sound system, fun sun roof, easy to drive. This car has been very enjoyable, and we got it as a lease. The only major issue was replacing the brake pads- otherwise it has been a perfectly dependable car. The touch screen and dual heating/cooling makes it feel luxurious. One thing I wish the verano has is seat warmers. There is plenty of trunk space. We will be getting a minivan next because we have more children and need the space, otherwise I would keep this car forever!

I love my Buick verano because of its excellent get up and go performance, luxurious features and comfort, and reliability. It is easy to parallel park and fun to drive with great fuel efficiency. I have never owned a Buick before purchasing my Buick verano. I test drove other vehicles before deciding on the Buick verano. I also did research online before choosing the Buick. The sound system is outstanding with eight speakers. I have had no issues other than routine maintenance.

There are so many comfort options with my Buick and I love it! Both sides of the car can control their temperature, and that makes a big difference. Huge trunk, I just transported a large AC unit in the trunk just the other day. Spacious back seat as well. I like the options to adjust the driver's seat, you can not only move the seat forward and back, but you can also move it up and down to make your drive so much more comfortable. I love my Buick and I am glad I chose this car.

I love the look and feel of my Buick verano, the interior is comfortable, it has a good radio with Bluetooth, OnStar and Sirius XM capabilities, and a back up camera. It is well equipped and stylish. Performance wise, it has good pick up, handles well, has good gas mileage. The problems that I have run into are, it burns through an excess amount of oil, I check it weekly and often have to add oil, about 2 weeks after my warranty ran out I started stalling and had to fix the camshaft position sensor, I just got that taken care of and now my air conditioner stopped working.

Purchase the Verano used. I acturally wanted the larger vehicle like the Lacross or MKZ. However, I had to settle for the Buick Verano. At first I wasn't too happy even before I drove the car because it was a smaller vehicle and I wanted a larger one. I said to myself, "I'll take it for now and get a big one later and trade in the Verano" but now Im not so sure. First I noticed how quiet the vehicle was interior wise when riding on any type of rough road surface. The so-called experts say the Verano lacks power nevertheless, i had no problems on highway or overtaking drivers to get in a better poll position. The car I drove 2 years before this Verano was the Juke turbo and Q45. Even while the dealer jacked up the price by $800.00. And I had to purchase 2 tires. I'm overly happy with the Verano which has so much detail like the interior side panels which go all the way down to the gas pedals unlike many other cars which lack it, even the luxury models. This Buick is awesome and normally like many relationships, after you have something for a while you notice things you dp not like or if you notice it before you would not have picked it. My only the problem now is I've looked at many cars especially the larger ones and I cannot find anything better or close to it except for those overpriced luxury cars that cost almost twice or three times as much along with those repair problems. The only thing I would change is adding a foot more. This has nothing to do with the car itself because I'm 6.1 feet talk and 270 pounds and with the seat fully back only the tip of my toe barely touch the gas pedal, So a person who is 6.6 would be very comfortable as my Cousin whom is 6.4 was looking for a car him and his wife who is 5 feet can drive and she doesnt like big cars. And dont ask, all I know is they met and fell in love; and in a world like today, I can respect that.

I love the heated leather seats, the heated steering wheel. The cup holders are easily hold a 32 oz cup. I really enjoy the moon roof. The tint on it is just enough to keep the from feeling the sun on a hot day. There is adequate enough room in the back seat for two normal size car seats. I do not think a small child could sit back there with two normal size car seats. Overall the car drives smoothly. I have a blind spot when driving and turning left but other people who have driven the car do not seem to understand what I am talking about. For me just how the windshield and the sidebar come down, I have to lean up to correctly turn left if I am in a tight spot. The leather has held up well in the car and is easy to clean. I absolutely love how the front floor mats pop into place and do not move. I wish the back ones did that. I am always finding the back ones halfway under the passenger and driver seats. I like the amount of favorite radio stations that you can add. I still have extras waiting to be filled. XM radio is a feature of the car however I did not active this feature. The main display screen is very easy to navigate with the dials or using as touchscreen.

I love the Buick. The car drives so smoothly and the features are great. I choose not to pay for the premium stations/movie player/weather features but the Bluetooth and aux work just as well. The temperature gauge is always accurate and the dash is brightly lite and easy to access/control. The seats are adjustable which is great for short people as it pumps up in two places. It also has easily cleanable seats and a lot of trunk space which is great for groceries or taking trips.

I like my car I'drive well I haven't really had major problems with it, the in interior could be a bit more spacious, you can fit four people comfortably but if you have five people it can be to tight but I if you normally drive four people around it is a good car. The trunk could be a little bit bigger as well but for groceries it is just fine. The one thing I have had problems with more recently has been with the camshaft I have had to replace some part of the camshafts at least 3 time right now that is something I am not really happy about. I hope this last time was the last in a while.

The Buick verano is amazing on mpg! If you need a vehicle that will get you far on $20 this is the one for you! Mine has leather seats which are great and very comfortable. The only issues I have had with my car is when it rains the air condition with shut off, which can be bad since the windows fog up quite badly. Working on getting that fixed. The features are also amazing. Comes with backup camera, also silver trim which looks very nice. The radio is a big screen and also touch screen which is an amazing feature. Bluetooth compatibility which these days is definitely something we need with hands free phone conversations being a must. This is a great car and I would recommend to anyone.
