Extremely dependable vehicle
I love my Ford Expedition. I can carry a ton of stuff. It holds 8'people and I still have a lot of storage space. It is also 4 wheel drive which come in handy when it rains and snows. I never worry about getting stuck anywhere. The only problem I have had with the truck is at about 100k miles a radiator hose blew. Other than that it's been a very dependable vehicles.

I love the captains chairs in the vehicle as I have children that can easily climb in and out.
I love this car. We have had no problems with it. It rides smoothly and has a lot of great interior features especially for families.

Has many safety features has so much leg room.
I like the room it provides for my family. I like the leather / heated seats. I dislike the gas mileage.

Mileage, features, strong, the perfect business owning vehicle.
I love the heated and cooling seats. Vehicle is very spacious which allows me to transport food/ equipment for my baking business. Sunroof is perfect for nice weather. Heavy duty enough to pull things and also to carry on top of the vehicle. I love the mileage as it carries 27 miles to the gallon and allows me to travel more with less time to stop for gas.

Bought it new and love it! Had it made for me and it is my favorite car.
The running boards motors need to be replaced and I have had to fix the motherboard for the seat heaters. I did these repairs myself due to the dealership charges way too much and I felt it wasn't worth spending over $1000 when I did it for less than $100 other than that it is the best car I have ever had.

Very comfortable, rides well, spacious for travel, the only problem has been a sensor went out and my key was stuck in the ignition for a while and the motor on the driver side running board quit working. My family loves the vehicle.

Ford expedition is definitely a vehicle in which you can travel comfortably.
The step up into the car is a tough one. The car works well. We have kept it up and it is very dependable. We have used it to pull two travel trailers and it worked without a hitch. We drove ours down from Alaska. The drive was long, and we had no problems at all with the car.

It is very spacious but if you plan to install car seats, make sure you know what is allowed by vehicle and car seat manufacturers.
My vehicle has several issues that I was not made aware of. I do like the drive and space available, but have some issues with performance.
accountCircle Joseph C
It is not the greatest car. Does not run great but has a lot of room.
It has a crack in the windshield, we've had to replace the backseat door handles, and the front bumper is smashed. The engine overheats fairly easily. Sometimes we have to stop in order to let the engine cool down. It leaks from the undercarriage. It is not the greatest car to begin with.

2013 ford expedition. Known for transmission issues so be aware of recall.
Started having transmission issues: have had several recalls on this vehicle including one for transmission. Vehicle gets bad gas mileage, sunroof has always had issues sliding and venting, the arms on the side finally snapped so now they have to be replaced. The carpet shows wear quickly,

2009 ford expedition. Fits 8 people.
The brake life shifter went out(which is common) and it wouldn't shift into gear. Now it performs good as far as performance goes. It has been a really reliable car until last week went it would not shift into gear. But other than that problem no other problems have occurred. It is a smooth and comfortable ride, with lots of legroom, comfortable seats that adjusts up and down front and back. The features of my SUV are back up assist, keyless entry, sync and voice control.

It is well-made. And beautiful.
I like the roominess and options. I have the limited edition with a DVD player and heated seats. It also has navigation.. I dislike its performance. I had to have an engine part replaced and I have intermittent air conditioner..

Good but gas is high. Great car though.
This car really helped me out these few years. I have barely had any problems with it. I have had to keep the maintenance up on my vehicle but that is pretty much the same as other car. I was happy to not have electric issues how I have had with many other cars in the past. If you are looking for a car to use daily and is reliable this is a good car. I totally think the car last for a while which is great.

Very smooth ride and very quiet.
I think the vehicle is too high of the ground. But the ride is very smooth and comfortable. My family loves the car so it is our main vehicle we bought this car on a whim and I wish we would have looked a little longer. But we will keep for another 2 years then it will be paid out.

Ford expedition: an awesome car for anyone.
My car is extremely reliable, and I love it a lot. There are a few problems with my ford expedition, but overall I love it. The seats are very comfortable and I can adjust the height, and angle of rest. The air conditioning sometimes malfunctions, but that is probably on my part. The gas usage is very w=good, and can last for a long time. I really recommend this car to anyone who loves travelling, or does not like getting a lot of gas!

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Austin M.

It rides very smoothly and is very quiet. Has ac and heated seats. Back up camera. DVD players in the headrest. The third row of seats is very spacious. The automatic windshield wipers. The automatic folding running boards.

likeFilled Erin R.

Large size accommodates our very tall family of four. Rides sturdy, does not feel like it will easily flip or crumble if in an accident. Reliable, rarely has any issues. Affordable maintenance, except for the mechanical foot boards, which broke at the 80k mile marker and are too expensive to replace. Fairly comfortable with large seats for the kids.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Austin M.

Some of the cons are it has very bad gas mileage. Does not have a very good turning radius. The back seats do not move forward and back. Those are the only things I do not like about the car. The pros definitely out weights the cons.

dislikeFilled Erin R.

Terrible gas mileage. Ugly tan color of trim in interior and exterior. Looks very dated and does not wear well. Shows dirt too easily. The mechanical foot boards broke and are too expensive to replace. The heating and cooling in the back is not very effective or efficient. It is hard to control the temperature throughout the car. The captains seat make it hard to easily seat more people without putting up part of the back row.

Is The 2013 Ford Expedition A Good Car?

It is a good vehicle. It has a few things I do not like but overall I do think it is a good one. I do not think customer service at my ford place is the best.
