Latest technology is great, be prepared for expensive repairs if items fail.
2014 GMC Acadia is a high quality vehicle loaded with features, many found in much higher end SUVs technology applications is amazing with many driver assist and comfort features. My special interest was the power assist seats, with both air and heat (a must for leather interior) for both driver and front passenger. Maneuverability and handling is good and quite comfortable on long distances. The mechanical reliability has been very good, but as with all latest technology loaded vehicles, an extended warranty protection would be recommended, as when computer or electronic items go bad, they can be quite expensive to repair.

We like the captain seats.
My car is so comfortable and roomy. I like that the captain seats in the back allow for people to get to the third row without dirtying the seats. The leather seats are easy to clean. There is ample storage in the back when the third row is down. Only downside to my car is the lack of sun roof.

Very roomy and comfortable. I sit higher up so i can see the road easier
My acadia is very comfortable. I bought it mainly for its ease of getting in and out of for my elderly Dad. Love the storage room it has and the back up camera. Both front seats are electric which is great and the second row seats are comfortable.

I love the sunroof and moonroof!
I love my GMC Acadia! Lots of room inside yet not a big body frame. Great gas mileage. My family loves it. I have three kids, eleven, eight, and five and it is plenty of room! Never had a problem with it. We carry it on all our family vacations. I cannot wait to get the newest model when I upgrade.

Really enjoy having this vehicle.
I really like the way it drives. Love the cooling and heated seats. Love the Bluetooth connection and I love the hand free feature. It has a nice shape and the interior is very roomy and comfortable. The radio speakers sound amazing. Love having the speed limit and other features show up in front above dash.

7 passenger vehicle with weathertech liners for easy removal for cleaning.
I love this vehicle. My biggest complaint is the power lift can be temperamental at times, it will properly function and other times it does not work. It is reliable, decent space for our family of 6. With all seats down there is plenty of space for hauling most anything. Stains easily come out of interior.

It's dependable. My family loves GMC vehicles and we rely on a quality company that provides a great car
We needed a bigger car for the added car seat, not wanting the 2 kids next to each other. And the 3rd row is great for extra people. It's a great vehicle for traveling with family, enough room for everyone

It is the next best vehicle to haul kids outside of a minivan
It's spacious, easy to install and uninstall car seats, the back up screen is a big plus along with the video player for my children

Issues and problems with GMC Acadia.
I have an Acadia and it is a death trap. I have had nothing but problems of all kinds. Windows not working, moisture in headlights, traction control not working, it uses oil at an extremely rapid pace, and I have had several codes come up and there are several recalls.
accountCircle Brandy R
3rd row seating and great for traveling because it gets great gas mileage.
The transmission skips a lot and doesn't have a lot of get up and go to it. I love the captain chairs in the back seat, but not a lot of trunk space.

New to me used GMC Acadia Review
Just got a used Acadia. I'm used to a toyota minivan. This vehicle rides more like a truck and sight lines are rough.
accountCircle Rhea G
Decent gas mileage. Nice touch screen.
I was disappointed in the small amount of cargo space when all the seats are up but when we are able to or need to put them down for more room it is an easy process. Our ac has gone out several times since we bought it but it is a used car. The kids seem to have plenty of room and it handles well. I also like the way the ac system is set up and the backup camera. All in all it has been a good car I think we just gotta not great one from the dealer we got it from.

Pros and cons of the Acadia.
The GMC Acadia has great features and details on the interior. Safety feature are good as well. There have been several recalls. I have had alignment issues throughout ownership as well as traction control/four wheel drive issues. Gas mileage is average.

It seats 7 people in a comfortable way and is very roomy.
I like that my car is roomy and has a great 3rd row and trunk space. I don't like that it seems bigger than most cars and doesn't fit well in a parking space.

Reliable and good looking car that makes you feel safe.
Really has lots of room. All of the features that you would want for a car. Really good power. Gas mileage could be better though. It has been a very reliable car ever since I got it. Really helps to have so much room when I have visitors in town. Also we have no problem fitting all the groceries when we do our shopping trips.

Great car, very nice-some issues.
I have had a lot of front end suspension issues with my car from the day I bought it. They keep replacing the bushings and sway bar, but every year or multiple times a year I take it in to have then replaced. The interior is very nice, I keep it clean as a person could. I like that it is very spacious.

GMC Acadia w captain seats.
Love the captain chairs, perfect for my family of 5. 3rd row comfortably seats 3 average size adults. Am having some minor electrical issues - motor for driver seat is failing, front passenger window will not go up from driver side - but at 95k miles, still amazing!

Handles great. Has a very nice front display- ways to follow navigation system. Sleek interior. Easy to understand control panel. Lots of legroom in back. Perfect for traveling and everyday with multiple children. Feels comfortable.

likeFilled Laurie E.

Large and roomy. Great engine. Sturdy 4 wheel drive. It looks nice and drives tight. Interior is leather and black has OnStar. Can use Bluetooth. Gas mileage is not bad. Seats are heated and reclining.

likeFilled Brooke G.

For all the features on my car, I got it at a good price. I love that it can prevent a wreck and let me know when another vehicle is in my blind spot. I also like the gas mileage. I do a lot of traveling and it's nice to not have to stop and fill up so much.

likeFilled Sharon R.

The car drives really well. It has heated and cooled front seats. It has dual air and heat controls, so you can set a different temperature for the driver, the front passenger and the rear passengers. The sound system is pretty amazing too. It also has hands free calling.

likeFilled Jennifer T.

This vehicle is great size for a family of 4. Our second row offers bucket seats vs. Bench so it's easy access to the third row. The third row of seats folds up/down very easily to accommodate for a larger trunk space. The seats are comfortable and there are no blind spots while driving. The vehicle is quiet on the road and I always feel safe.

likeFilled Timothy M.

Roomy, good handling and it gets good highway mileage. I particularly like the third row seating and it very spacious when you let down the seats. You get a lot of room. Also there is a lot of mileage between oil changes.

likeFilled Kim C.

I love all the bells and whistles it has and tells me when something is not right on car. Love the screen to tell me other things like low on fuel and option to turn off. The captains chairs for the 2nd row are nice that allow you to get to 3rd row easier.

likeFilled Tajuana H.

This vehicle is a great option for a family or a single person. It is very comfortable it gives good gas mileage. This vehicle drives very well on the interstate or in the city limits. You would love this vehicle for your family.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Brandie N.

The blind spots are a major issue- cars get lost in the panels between windows for multiple seconds at a time. Navigation system could list places in a different order. Things get caught in the little crevices by the shifter and other areas easily.

dislikeFilled Laurie E.

It guzzles gas. It isn't that roomy for such a large vehicle even trunk space is small. Road trips are sore due to not enough leg room. I wish it had headphone jacks in each row. 3Rd row is super small.

dislikeFilled Brooke G.

I don't really like the color of my car, it is a pretty color, but to me it shows EVERY scratch. I have to wash my twice a week. Other than that, I really love my car and so do my kids. They have plenty of room.

dislikeFilled Sharon R.

The navigation system is pretty bad. You can never get the navigation to understand what the address is that you are trying to find. I have to pull over, turn off the car and manually type into the navigation. Also, you can only use the navigation with exact addresses only. You cannot say to find a certain park or store and have it find it like you can with google maps. Also, you cannot speak to text someone or reply to the text.

dislikeFilled Jennifer T.

This vehicle guzzles gas. I wish that there was more space in the back behind the third row. I wish this vehicle had a sunroof. It would also be nice if the second row had a bigger range to slide the seats up/back.

dislikeFilled Timothy M.

The tire size that was on the vehicle is very difficult to find and expensive. After a few months you start to hear a lot of road noise and the seal around the doors and hatch becomes loose you can see outside the vehicle.

dislikeFilled Kim C.

I have dogs and the buttons are easily changed and sometimes I have to wait to fix until I stop. Back storage is very small and hard to get anything overly large into it. No front license plate holder.

dislikeFilled Tajuana H.

There is not a lot of things I do not like about this vehicle. It has more pros than cons in my eye site. The only thing I do not like about it is when I had to replace the battery it was a little difficult to get to.
