I wish GMC would start making this van again. There are still lots of them on the road
I LOVE the visibility in my Safari Van. I sit up higher than in a car and I can see EVERYTHING. It has been very reliable. There is nothing I dislike about it. It has been a great family vehicle and I can fit everything I need to in it!

It will comfortably fit 8 people.
I can haul most things with my vehicle. It gets good gas mileage... There is not anything I do not like about it.

The 2000 GMC Safari van, a great way to raise your family
I bought my Van new. It has the original engine and it runs beautifully. General upkeep is easy, however a tune up, which is rare, needs the engine removed to complete. It drives smoothly and is very dependable. This van seats 8 comfortably, with room for any necessities, as in items for a trip. We've traveled all over southern California and it has been used to travel to and from college for several years. Because of the extensive travel, I have replaced the transmission twice. But this is the only expensive repair. This is my favorite vehicle to drive. I feel safe and protected while driving it.

Best mid size Van
We bought this van 14 years ago. We still love this van. Great for long distance travel. Would buy it again

The perfect travel companion
The perfect vehicle for road trips! Comfortable, fuel efficient and roomy enough to travel with a party of 8, or even roomier when traveling as a couple.
accountCircle Debbie P
It looks great, feels great, handles great, and it is great off road.
Dislike - I do not trust it, it does not have enough hood, I really cannot access the 3rd seat very well.. Like - dual zones for heat and air, I really like the fact that it runs! (the other two do not right now!).
