Large interior with great mpg.
I have this used for about 2 months I have no issues. I love the 4wd with great gas mileage. It has 3 rows of seating with one being hiding in the trunk. We went camping a week ago and slept in the back with no problem. Mitsubishi did great job with this car.

Had to get gas three times. It is wonderful car that I will keep for many years.
My car is best for traveling for traveling long distances you can have as many things you need in the car and it goes far on one tank of gas. I have traveled to Florida from Illinois and there was minimal noise and I only had to get gas three times. I could not ask for a better car.

We love our vehicle. No problems.
Very reliable, comfortable. No problems. We were able to handle taking our son to college and back. Great for hauling things. Love that the back seats lay completely level and things do not roll around. We love it. I like the lights that let me know, if my tires are low in pressure. Live our sunroof and the stereo is great. I live the Bluetooth that I can connect to my cell phone. I like the hands-free speak that I can use to talk to people.

Best SUV I have ever owned!
I love everything about my 2013 Mitsubishi outlander! It has a sleek design, drives smoothly, turns corners well, the brakes are good but not too sensitive, and it has good a/c and heating. The factory stereo is also great with powerful speakers! It is very roomy, and you can lay the seats down or add a third row! There are more than enough cup holders to my delight! Also the computer monitor in the car lets you know if something is wrong or to be careful about, like ice on the road, a low tire, service needed, or even just to remind you to turn the lights off! Thanks, Mitsubishi!

Fun to drive! Easy to operate.
Runs well, drives well, looks very appealing, no mechanical issues in 5yrs. Of ownership. Body is very aerodynamic. Fuel economy is good.

Outstanding outlander outperforms other midsize SUVs.
Great vehicle. Reliable, comfortable, quick and good gas mileage. The outlander sport hugs the road and handles well. Thanks the storage in the back is a wonderful feature and easily accessible. The seats fold down for extra storage which is a plus. There are fold down cup holder plus there are multiple charging zones for devices. The seats are very comfortable and there is surprising leg room which is perfect for families.

When showed this to the dealer, he said a 2013 should not have thus much rust!
My car is loaded with rust, liftgate handle has rotted and it has 3 rust spots on the liftgate itself. Rust spots on doors etc

Rust problem
I have a 2013 Outlander. It is beyond the 160,000 km warranty. Just recently I have had to spend also $1200.00 to replace the rear wheel bearing housing because the ABS sensor bracket prematurely rusted out. Mitsubishi has changed the design on newer vehicles because of this problem. If you have a 2013-2014-2015 I advise you to take it in before the warranty expires and get them to replace the bearing housing under their cost.

It is fairly loud on the highway. It is quiet on normal roadways
Interior is okay, but dash is bulky and dated. Not many interior features. Bluetooth is buggy.

2013 Mitsubishi outlander is a great starter car with lots of great features.
I have had to replace fuel pump. I currently am experiencing some exhaust issues. I am also experiencing starter issues. I am sure newer models would be faster with pick up speed. Overall comfortable, has great gas mileage, lots of space. Would be a great starter car.

Beautiful, comfortable fuel efficient lemon.
I've had multiple problems and recalls on my vehicle. Not too long after purchasing the windshield wiper fluid stopped dispensing. Then there was an oil leak now the air has gone out. The aesthetics of my car I honestly love however I would not purchase another Mitsubishi after this one.

That it gets decent gas mileage.
It has 3 rows which is great when you have a lot of kids to get around places. It is not to big or to small. It gets decent gas mileage.

My first foreign vehicle - a nice surprise.
This is a great car for the money! Excellent gas mileage. Roomy inside. Fun extra features if you choose to add them ( I personally enjoy the sun/moonroof) my stereo is sound and powerful. My only unfavorable comment would be the quality of the paint, it chips easily.

My experience with my Mitsubishi outlander.
I have had this car for 5 years and this car has had 3 recalls on it. This car gets 30 miles per gallon. So it is good on gas. I like the way the car drives. The car has a smooth ride. Even when it is not in cruise. The car is overall a good car. I have not had any major issues with this car.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Cierra G.

I find it to be the perfect SUV size. I do not have kids, so no need for a bigger SUV. Great on gas- no more than $35 to fill. All/4x4 wheel drive. Bluetooth is available within the vehicle. Cruise control, great for taking on long trips.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Cierra G.

No sunroof. I do wish I had a larger screen on the vehicle. I have had issues with the volume in my vehicle. I have had issues with my tires multiple times, I do not believe that this is related to my vehicle.

How Reliable Is The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander?

No. There are no problems and so far the only 'work' that has been done is the regular routine maintenance (oil, transmission, and the like changes, tire rotation, and windshield wiper replace).
Tracy E.
The only problem I have found it when it needs repairs the Mitsubishi parts are very expensive and garages will not use non Mitsubishi parts.
Trudy B.
Super reliable, got into a small accident and no damage was done. I have not had any problems with my vehicle and I have had it for almost 3 years.
Jennifer W.
Very reliable, I have kept up with regular oil changes and tire rotations and haven't had any issues so far.

Is The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander A Good Value?

When I purchased the car, it was used and I paid $10,000. Yes it was and still is a good value. Other than the purchase price the only money I have spent has been on routine maintenance.
Tracy E.
I bought it used and got what I thought was a good deal until it needed repairs. Mitsubishi parts are quite expensive.
Trudy B.
If I remember correctly it was $32000. I believe it is a great value. I have basically already paid it off. It is the best car I have ever purchased.
Jennifer W.
I paid $18,000 I thought it was priced good for what I got and what else was on the market at the time.
Ben F.
I paid 13,000 and I think it was a great deal considering the low mileage and condition of the vehicle
