Very roomy, good gas mileage, like it is looks, fun to drive. It has plenty of room for my dogs and is also easy to get in and out of. Really like this car, esp. For the price. Also, the buying experience was the best because there was no haggling.
The visibility is excellent. The car has great gas mileage, and a fun style. The interior is roomy. The car is fun to drive. You will not find many cars on the road like it. The Scion seems to hold its cost value in the Kelley Blue Book.
Great gas mileage and super reliable. Other than basic preventative maintenance, I have had to do almost nothing to the vehicle and I am approaching the 200 mile mark. It is also more spacious than it appears and is great for moving.
There are very large windows that allow for great front, side and rear visibility. There is also ample room in the front for seating, I including leg room and hip room. There is more room in the rear seats for your legs than your hips. The seats are fairly comfortable as well.
Pros- good for small family, good on gas has some room for a small car, easy to clean. Cons- not good for a family of 4+, the car is basically square so you have to be careful turning with high winds, its is a small car so no more than 2 car seats fit.
It has great gas mileage, it has plenty of leg room & folding seats for plenty of storage space. It is low enough to the ground to make it easy to get into, but not too low. It is a durable vehicle that can runs pretty well.
Paint job is not the best and the windows tend to crack very easily. Also most modern cars, even expensive ones, are plastic and dent and break very easily. Also, they do not make this model any longer which is sad.
When driving on the highway, the Scion takes a longer time to get up to speed. Once you hit around 35 miles an hour, the car will buck slightly before accelerating to a higher speed. The lack of side airbags is concerning, especially when thinking about the design of the car.
The car has poor acceleration, making it difficult to merge with freeway traffic sometimes. I have also run into some trouble replacing rear lights. While not really a con, one tricky note about the vehicle is the placement of the Jack, which is located under the driver's seat.
The car is very slow. You must give it a lot of gas to keep up with traffic. The car struggles going up inclines. The ride is not very compliant to road conditions. It's a fairly bumpy ride. There is no center armrest which is terrible. The trunk is very small. You can fit a row of 4 grocery bags across and that's it.
Cons- small, square, and compact, the dashboard is a bit weird with the location of the speedometer, gas, and miles indicator in the middle of the dashboard. It feels like your taking your eyes off the road.
We bought our vehicle used & the or conditioner has not work in a few years. We had to put in a new alternator aa couple of years ago. The cons about our scion are mostly age related & the fact that we bought it used, not necessarily to do with the vehicle itself.
The 2006 Scion xB has an average owner rating of 4.32 out of 5 which ranks it #7 of 19 other Compact SUVs.
