This vehicle is great. Not only does it ride extremely smoothly, it also has an incredible amount of room on the inside. The first time that I saw the vehicle I thought it looked small from the outside. Being a bigger guy, I had doubts on whether I would fit in the vehicle. We'll, not only do I fit, but I still leave a ton of room for my kids in the back. And the cargo space in the back is wonderful as well. The back seats fold down to create a flat surface, making even more room in an already spacious car. I really have no complaints at all about it.

Very comfy and a good style for any age.
This scion xd model is so unique with modern characteristic but what it is more important to me is the gas savings, good interiors, a/c, it is very comfortable, reliable and nice. It is a mix of a smart or fiat but with the Toyota features which is not expensive and at the same time is durable.

Reliable, but not necessarily perfect.
This car handles most roads and road conditions with ease, however I live in a rural area of Michigan where the roads are damaged and bumpy. Alongside that, snowy conditions also give this car some problems. However, for me personally it makes up for that with the space and great gas mileage. It also has required minimal maintenance despite purchasing the car used.

Gas is cheap takes about twenty dollars to fill it up and it last me a week.
Previously owned but got it from dealership with warranty however still have to replace the motor and air conditioner leaks inside my car has to be fixed again.

10/10 would recommend buying it!
This car has given me absolutely no problems. I bought it used and the only maintenance I have had to perform on it has been oil changes or adding windshield wiper fluid. Other than that, I have only had to change the tires and that is it. This car rides smoothly, it is comfortable, and very reliable. Great vehicle!

The vehicle is very safe in a lot of aspects.

Small 5dr hb makes for perfect city car.
I like the size of the car, it is small so it is easy to park and drive around town. Seats are comfortable. Can play my music in the car via plugging in cord. Downside is the model of car, I had to have new alternator and it costs more money due to how it has to be installed.

Fantastic hatchback! Great gas mileage.
I love my scion xd it has great pick up. It features a decent stereo system and has most basic features, ac, power mirrors and windows. The seats are not the most comfortable for long rides. It is very reliable with basic maintenance. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a hatchback.

Less expensive on repairs.
Took me forever to try to try to listen to music with the USB port. Newer technology and older cars do not work well. I had to reprogram the car and pay for apple music just to be able to listen to my own music. For the amount of miles on my car though, it is very reliable.

Scion xd: the unexpected bro car.
The only problem I have with it is that it overheats pretty fast. But other than that it is still a good car. The mileage on it is great. Plus it is also way more roomier than I expected. And it does pick up speed pretty well. Also has a bunch of customizations for it.

Reliable car if taken care of, easy and fun to drive.
Very reliable, have not had to do any major repairs since I have done routine maintenance. Easy care to drive, feels very smooth and intuitive. Almost feels like driving a go kart. Nice gas mileage. Does not have a ton of space, but the seats can be put down and that helps with the space issue.

It is cute in size. There is enough room in the trunk even though the car is.
It is really bad in the snow. Great on gas. It is very small. It is reliable but the motor is small so it is very loud. The seats are not very comfortable. I would never buy a gray car again. There really has not been any problems besides not good on the snow.

I've had this car since 2010 and it has less and 100,000 miles on it. However it has a couple of issues especially when you hit a certain speed it starts to shake. But besides that it is a car that gets from point a go point b if it was more comfortable and better to travel in it would be a great car

Spacious, yet compact vehicle, reliable, and inexpensive to upkeep.
The only negative about my vehicle is the price for parts when something breaks. I have had it for approximately 9 years and have had very few issues. It has been very reliable, it is comfortable and spacious. I love the aux, USB, and steering wheel controls for music. The a/c is powerful and quick. The gas mileage is great— I only spend about $20 a week on gas. It has been a wonderful vehicle.

Strange wheels but good gas mileage.
The tires are too small and will not keep air in them even though they are new. It is not the tires -- the wheels are too small. The steering wheel locks and the key will not turn -- can be a nuisance if you do not know the secret of jiggling the steering wheel to unlock. It gets great gas mileage and is comfortable to drive.

Small and compact. Easy and stress free to drive.
The car is very small and compact. Easy for parking. I love the Bluetooth setting. I can easily fit my things in the car. It is easy to get around the city. The car mileage is good. I drive an hour a day and fill up my gas tank once a week. The speakers are good. The heating works good. It is hard sometimes in the snow. It can get a little slippery on the roads. I think those are the tires I chose though.

Translucent color and sleek design.

It accelerates, handles, and perform very well. Its a basic economy car so it is lacking in interior features and comfort. But it does what it needs to do. Get me from point A to point B very well. I've only ever perform minor maintenance and have put 100k miles on it. Good brand by a great manufacturer.

It is a nice small car that is decent on gas.
I rather like my car. I do wish that there was more room and a few additional features like wiper blade speed. There is only 3 speeds on the front wipers and 1 speed on in the back. There is no middle console, which would be nice to have. I also would like to be able to move the seat back as sometimes it feels too close.

My scion gets great gas mileage. Front wheel drive enables it to drive well in all weather conditions. It is easy and inexpensive to maintain. Its small size makes it easy to park. With the back seat down, plus being a hatchback, it has abundant storage space.

Little reliable Toyota rebrand.
It is a really cool small vehicle, comfy and simple. It is not made for speed but it'll get you where you need to go without any issues. Great mileage and you can use Toyota parts on it. It is pretty dope! Has very good responsive breaks! Decent sound system.

Excellent car for the price and gas mileage.
It is been very reliable. The seats are comfortable for the front and back. The trunk is not too roomy but enough to put several bags of groceries. It does not go really fast on the highway but it is not meant to, being only a 4 cylinder. It has a lot of features like a pioneer stereo system that is stock and cruise control. It does not have fog lights but I am not missing them either.

The scion features a nice radio and sound system. It also has a USB port in it.
The scion is great on gas! It is a comfortable vehicle for a mom and maybe 2 children. It is small on the inside. My 14yr old is tall and she has problems sitting in the backseat. Her head touches the roof and she just gets uncomfortable. It's nice and you can take long trips for great gas mileage.

No problems. I love the car. The most reliable car I have ever owned. All it has ever needed is regular maintenance and wear on a car that is 10 years old. Unfortunately, they are not making them anymore, or I would buy another. Very comfortable, more room inside than one would think looking at it.

I love that the seats are up high like a SUV even though it is a small car. It came equipped with everything I needed so I didn't need to spend more for a package. It does not take bumps very well and the back seat is pretty small, but it is the perfect car for my husband and I.

Toyota scion: the car that lasts.
Scion is made by Toyota so at least I knew this car would last long. I was able to buy this car when I was young so it was a great first time car. The scion brand was definitely geared toward younger people in its style, and interior colors. The xd is pretty tiny but also has some power to it. The car does get decent gas mileage and has been great for a commute. Gas mileage is a plus but comfort is another thing, the seats are a little uncomfortable to sit in traffic for over an hour. I am happy to say I have not had any extreme issues with the car but again Toyota is a lasting brand. I am happy with my car.

2010 Scion xD - still mostly happy 4 years after purchase.
So far very reliable. Size is good for me- middle aged woman. I mostly drive alone so sometimes drop back seats for extra storage. Biggest negative so far is that some parts are non-standard & sometimes cause repair delay or additional cost.

The most important thing for others to know, is that it's mine, for better or worse, and they should keep their mitts off it.
It's a very reliable, but very cheap-feeling piece of tin on wheels. It has a sub-par sound system, the dash shelf is black and therefore turns the car into an oven in the summer, and it doesn't have an armrest. You have to pay $100 extra for a freakin arm rest.

I have had a great experiences with any Toyota/scion vehicles. My 2010 has 168, 000 miles and has had no unexpected maintenance. My scion gets great gas mileage which is a major plus in today's economy. I will continue to buy from Toyota for the rest of my life.

I love my scion xd. It drives so smooth and accelerates very easy, I hardly even have to touch the gas ever. It is a smaller car but still is super roomy on the inside!! Plenty of space in the trunk and back seat. Music sounds great as well and it gets excellent gas mileage. Most I have ever had to pay for a full tank of gas was 20 dollars when prices were high, usually I only spend around 14 now though to fill it all the way up.

Scion XD 2010 front wheel manual transmission
This vehicle lacks creator comforts. But it is very fuel efficient and my wife and I love driving it around the city. We can sneak in and park it really easily in congested areas. It is affordable to own and operate. I would recommend this vehicle to people who are looking for a low cost, quality vehicle.

Positives & negatives of the scion xd.
I feel it's very reliable for the most part. Two challenges are high noise level and not a smooth ride when going over even the smallest bumps. I would choose a vehicle with better insulation and better suspension. One other thing is I live up north and car does not do well with snowy road conditions. But for the price, the car is a decent investment.
