2014 Rogue S Includes Wide Range of Standard Equipment, from Power Windows to Keyless Entry, Plus Available Third-row Seating

Introduced in 2007, the Rogue is Nissan’s top-selling vehicle. For 2014, Nissan debuted an all-new, second-generation Rogue that added cabin space and better technology. A standout feature is the availability of a third-row seat, which bumps seating capacity up to seven. Plus, Nissan’s excellent all-wheel drive is available on all of its three trim levels: Rogue S, Rogue SV, and Rogue SL.

The 2014 Nissan Rogue S is the base model that offers five-passenger seating and comes with a wide range of standard equipment that includes everything from power windows to keyless entry and a standard Bluetooth-equipped stereo with USB support.

Standard safety features on the S trim level come courtesy of Nissan’s Advanced Airbag System with front and side airbags, and roof-mounted curtain side-impact airbags with rollover sensor for front and rear-seat occupant head protection. The Rogue S also includes:

  • Halogen headlights with auto-off function
  • LED daytime running lights
  • Body-color outside mirrors with integrated turn signals
  • 17-inch steel wheels with full-wheel covers and 225/65R17 all-season tires

Nissan’s excellent “zero gravity”-inspired cloth front bucket seats are also standard on the S trim. Soft-touch surfaces and ample storage are found throughout the 2014 Rogue lineup.

All Rogue models feature a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder rated at 170 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque, paired to a Nissan Xtronic CVT with Sport Mode. Fuel economy ratings came in at 26 mpg city/33 mpg highway/28 mpg combined in FWD. And 25 mpg/32 mpg/28 mpg combined in AWD.

The Family Package with third-row seating was also available for the 2014 Nissan Rogue S.

2014 Rogue SV Trim Provides Additional Comfort and Convenience with Power Driver’s Seat and Smart-key with Push-button Start

Moving up to the SV trim offers drivers practical upgrades like attractive 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires, a leather steering wheel, and automatic climate control.

The SV trim’s power driver’s seat provides additional comfort with power lumbar support, and the smart-key has push-button start. The dual-zone automatic temperature control keeps the cabin comfortable. And NissanConnect Apps keep you connected with remote start, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, in-car wifi, and navigation.

The available Family Package adds a third row to the SV trim, the Moonroof Package provides a nice view, and the tech-heavy SV Premium Package brings additional safety via moving object detection, blind-spot warning, and lane-departure warning.

2014 Rogue SL is the Most Luxurious Trim, with a 360-degree Bird’s Eye Camera, Heated Leather Seats, and Bose Audio System

Drivers looking for a luxury-brand level of interior quality and technology will find it in the 2014 Nissan Rogue SL. The trim includes virtually all the safety and comfort features offered in the SV trim, like dual-zone automatic temperature control, plus it adds heated front seats; leather-appointed front and second-row seats; navigation system with nine Bose speakers; and a 360-degree camera that Nissan calls Around View. Additional notable features and extras on the 2014 Nissan Rogue SL include:

  • Power driver’s seat with power lumbar support
  • 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob

Further extras can be found in the 2014 Rogue SL Premium Package, which adds the same safety features as the SV Premium package, like blind-spot alert and lane-departure warning, but the SL Premium adds forward-collision warning.

Rogue SV Trim with Optional Premium Package is a Winning Combination

No matter which 2014 Nissan Rogue you choose, you’ll be treated to a surprisingly roomy, compact SUV that offers up to 70 cu. ft. of storage, seating for up to seven, and up to 33 mpg highway.

SV models are particularly attractive because they include upmarket options like automatic climate control and 17-inch alloy wheels for a minimal amount of extra money. For an extra bit of luxury, the Premium Package spoils drivers with conveniences that are useful every day and provides additional security via driver assistance technology.

All-wheel drive is also a must-have option. After all, with all that room on board for family and gear, you never know what type of weather you might come across on your next road trip.

The Nissan rogue s: an affordable midsize SUV packed with features.
I have the basic model with cloth seats, AWD, and back-up camera. It comes with some cool features like a very detailed dashboard interface that gives constant information about the status of the car. It comes standard with a tire pressure monitoring system. That is convenient because it takes the guesswork out knowing when to put air in your tires. It gets really good gas mileage. On the negative side the backseat says 3 adults but it is really hard to fit three grown ups in the back, currently I have 2 car seats in the back and it is roomy for them. The trunk space is adequate but does seem smaller than other comparable vehicles. The biggest drawback I have about the rogue is that the back window is small and it greatly limits your field of view, which in certain situations feels unsafe. The other problem is that the windshield wipers cannot be left in the up position during the winter, which is a big annoyance during the winter when they freeze onto the windshield. So overall on a 10pt scale I’d give the Nissan rogue I’d give it a 8.

Love my Nissan rogues , my family and I are going to be taking so many road trips.
I love my 2014 Nissan rogue s it receives great miles per gallon. I also like that it seems like a older person’s car but it is also for young people. My rouge travels up hills, mountains and rocky roads easily. I also love how spacious the car is for traveling. One thing I dislike about this car is that it does not have a Bluetooth feature. I have come to overlook that because it does have an auxiliary. The car feels big at first but after driving it for a few days it does not seem that way. It is easy to steer and adjust any windows, seats or mirrors. Me and my family love taking my car when it is time for a road trip. It is so convenient to just put my belongings in and travel. We have a huge dog crate and a 40 gallon tank for my reptile but that fits right in my trunk. It really helps that the back seats are adjustable.

All 2014 Rogue models feature Bluetooth
I purchased the 2014 Rogue SL AWD The interior layout is not well I love the soft touch materials around the cabin also the seats are very comfortable both front and rear. The Infotainment works OK, but While navigating through the menus I see a lag within the response. The power liftgate is convenient. The EPA estimate for the Rogue AWD is 25 city/32 highway averaging 28 MPG. My best MPG is 34.8 Worst MPG 24.3, to attain the 34.8 MPG I have to drive the speed limit, but I think it's worth it. The O/D button works well when passing 18 wheelers or zipping through traffic. Overall I am happy with my investment & advise anybody who is shopping for a SUV to test drive the Rogue.

Great Gas Mileage
I like the 2014 Rogue SL I purchased it is dependable and I love the gas affordablity. However, my sunroof has given me problems after 2 yrs of having it. When it rains outside the water has damaged the inside of the fabric and drips on my head. I it serviced several times to fix the problem at the Nissan dealership spending over $400.00. I still have the issue with rainwater getting in my SUV plus I have to get it detailed because of the water stains in the interior fabric. Also I had to replace the motor to the driver side window that goes up and down after owning my vehicle for 2 yrs.

Dual camera. Had view from front and back as well as side. Very helpful.
The performance of my Nissan is excellent. It runs very smoothly. The only thing that I don't like about my car is that the gas mileage isn't the greatest. It only gets about 23 miles to the gallon. But the Sv includes cameras in both the front and back. Has heated and leather seats as well as heated seating. It has powered doors. The vehicle as well also includes many hands free accessories. This vehicles allows you to use your phone without actually having to use your hands with helps you be able to communicate with people as well as stay safe while driving.

The 2014 Nissan rogue sv AWD.
The only problem that I have noticed with the vehicle is a small whistling noise from the front end but it does not affect driving at all. The vehicle has good get up and go being it is a SUV with a small 2.5l 4 cylinder. The vehicle is definitely reliable being it is AWD. The vehicle is very comfortable. The vehicle has features as far as electric everything, assisted hatch open and close, push button start. There is one downfall which is the touchscreen radio that sometimes does not work so you do have to use the buttons.

Mostly a great vehicle, but.
Overall, I really like my rogue. I have a limited edition 'sv,' and some of the features Nissan chose to not include are confusing. For example, the rear hatch/liftgate has no power whatsoever. There is no button inside the cabin to open it, so the only way is to physically get out and open it by hand. It would be tremendously helpful if there was a button similar to a hood or trunk button inside. It also shakes quite a bit at higher speeds, but it generally rides smoothly and quietly, and it gets decent fuel economy.

My vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Rogue SV. I have owned it 5 years and have enjoyed.
My Nissan rogue is very comfortable to drive and go for long trips. Performance is great, it is a 4 cyl but has plenty of get up and go. The only issue is that there is sometimes an issue with the air condition not wanting to blow if it has ran at maximum flow and it is terribly hot outside. It has a good amount of room for cargo with a hidden compartment under the trunk with removable shelf to make more room if you are stacking items.

The 2014 Nissan Rogue sv. Is a smooth, comfortable ride.
My 2014 Nissan Rogue sv. Is a wonderful car. I enjoy its sleek look and spacious interior. The heated leather seats and dual a/c control make for a very comfortable ride. While the powertrain is just average for a mid-size crossover, the vehicle does offer excellent fuel economy. It accelerates quickly and handles most roads well. Overall, it is a reliable vehicle that offers plenty of room without sacrificing performance.

2014 Rogue SL has all you could want! Sunroof Bluetooth alarm system keyless entry
This is a sporty ride and that's what I was looking for. I enjoy the sunroof and all the little extras from interior lighting to the bluetooth. It's perfect for sports and use it a little off road too! It's a good reliable ride. Sone things to be aware of: keep it maintained and do get the extended warranty. I had my clutch system completely replaced and some electrical systems needed some attention. Overall...good car!

Overall good vehicle, weird center console issues.
I own a 2014 Nissan rogue sv. My personal experience with this vehicle is that sometimes the center console simply not turn. I have yet to find the root cause of this. It does not seem to be tied to hot weather or cold weather, but I honestly haven't taken it to a mechanic either. Otherwise, I would say that this is a nice, reliable vehicle.

Great and Reliable SUV, Just perfect for you
I love SUVs so that is a plus. However I have a standard model with no tech features/ amenities. It's also is terrible on fuel. Comfort is level is ok, because I would like a more spacious vehicle. It has been very reliable and has not needed much work, other than breaks. It has some paint chipping off but overall in great condition.
accountCircle Michael H on November 17, 2021
It looks and drives like a luxurious SUV.
I would compare my Nissan fully loaded sl version to a Lexus. It has all the bells and whistles. Runs very smooth. Gets decent gas mileage and had a sporty/ luxury look and feel. Nissans in this year range seem to have some issues with the CVT transmission. I believe with regular maintenance and care there should be no problem.

Small but mighty and comfy - 2014 Rogue S
Very reliable and good on gas but the back seat is pretty small. We have a baby now and I feel like. With the car seat and his stroller in the back not much else can fit. It is very comfortable we've taken several long road trips with this car. The features are pretty cool for the basic s model.

2014 Nissan Rogue sl features and problems.
My 2014 Nissan Rogue is pretty reliable. The navigation is a little difficult to figure out but works great when used. Also your phone can connect to the system and you can speak hands free. I recently noticed the air conditioning has frozen up if used consistently for more than an hour.

Silver Nissan rogue 2014 sv.
After 96000 miles my hatchback stopped opening automatically. Also my key is running out of battery I think. Other than that, this car feels really safe and drives well! My family and I use it as our main transportation and it is incredible. My dad only buys Nissan.

Love my rogue sl more than any other vehicle I have owned.
My rogue handles well, is super comfortable and gets great gas mileage. The sl package makes the vehicle feel luxurious. As a person who does not like to drive cumbersome vehicles, I love the size and manageability of the rogue. It goes great in inclement weather.
accountCircle Leanne D on August 26, 2021
The rogue s is the right size for me.
I love it! The small SUV is the perfect size - feels like an SUV but it is not overly big and unnecessary. It is comfortable. It drives smoothly and has decent gas mileage. I have the basic model, so not many features, but it is enough for me.
accountCircle Lorena G on September 10, 2021
Rogue s is very economic and very comfortable for long drives.
Is easy to drive, has enough space, is easy to park and low maintenance. This model is also comfortable for long drives.
