Offered in three trim levels with one engine across the range, and available with 2WD and AWD, the 2015 Nissan Rogue has a variant to suit almost all tastes and budgets. However, many of the features you may enjoy are optional.

Key Points

  • The 2015 Nissan Rogue is offered in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. All models have a 2.5-liter engine as standard and are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
  • Several optional add-on packages are available, boasting features such as a third-row seat on S and SV models, and extra safety tech on SV and SL variants.
  • The base Rogue S lives up to its basic positioning, rolling on steel wheels, fitted with cloth seats, and only offering a tiny five-inch infotainment screen.
  • Mid-level SV models could be had with a larger seven-inch screen, active safety technology, heated seats, and a 360-degree camera, but it all has to be optioned on.
  • Range-topping SL models feel the most premium thanks to a full leather interior, and look the best on 18-inch alloy wheels. It offers most features as standard as well.

Entry-level 2015 Nissan Rogue S Trim Delivers the Basic Necessities but not Much More

Whether looking at this base S or the higher SV and SL models, just one engine is available across the 2015 Nissan Rogue range. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 170 hp gets paired to a CVT and can be had with front- or all-wheel drive on all variants. This makes it easier to compare and contrast what equipment is included with each trim level, as that’s the only difference between them.

In the case of the entry-level 2015 Rogue S, while it won’t feel entirely sparse inside, it’s hardly brimming with luxuries. This is something that can be seen right from the outset as it sits on 17-inch steel wheels with plastic covers, which are clad in all-season tires with a tall sidewall – good for ride quality. At least LED daytime running lights are standard to lift the exterior looks.

Inside, it’s fitted with a basic five-inch infotainment display with Bluetooth and a backup camera. New for 2015 was the inclusion of SiriusXM satellite radio and NissanConnect smartphone connectivity on the base model. While it also has a tire pressure monitoring system and keyless entry, it’s otherwise a bit sparse on technology, still having only manual climate controls and a four-speaker stereo.

It doesn’t lack practicality, though, fitted with Nissan’s clever EZ-Flex second-row seating system that allows split-folding, sliding, and reclining. It also has the Divide-N-Hide cargo system. Optioning the Family Package also adds a third-row seat, two additional bottle holders, rear privacy glass, and run-flat low rolling resistance tires in place of the standard all-terrains. A splash of color could also be had with an Almond cloth interior available in addition to Charcoal cloth. At the time of publication, Kelley Blue Book suggests an average fair purchase price of $14,722 for the 2015 Rogue S.

Mid-tier 2015 Nissan Rogue SV Offers All the Tech You’d Want, but Only with the Right Options Selected

Not only did the 2015 Nissan Rogue SV step it up visually over the Rogue S, thanks to 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and standard privacy glass, but it could be had with far more interior equipment as well.

Standard, it still features Almond or Charcoal cloth seats, and a five-inch infotainment display with rearview camera. However, automatic dual-zone climate control, an Intelligent Key with push-button start, a six-way powered driver’s seat, and automatic headlights are also added as standard features.

Available options packages are where the SV really shines, though. In addition to the Family Package to add a third-row seat, a SV Premium Package is also offered, adding a seven-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation and SiriusXM Traffic, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, blind-spot, and lane departure warning, moving object detection, and a power tailgate.

Also optional, a panoramic moonroof, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with HomeLink, blind zone side mirrors, and fog lights. On average, expect to pay around $16,263 for a 2015 Rogue SV assuming the price is fair.

Top-spec 2015 Nissan Rogue SL Boasts Luxurious Leather Upholstery, Yet Active Safety Tech Remains Optional

Sitting at the top of the 2015 Nissan Rogue Range was the SL. Riding on 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-season low rolling resistance tires, it certainly looked the best out of all variants. Heated side mirrors and a power tailgate were also now standard.

Once again, it’s on the inside where the real upgrades are. With heated leather seats (still either Almond or Charcoal), a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and the larger seven-inch infotainment unit with navigation and 360-degree camera all fitted as standard, it’s easily the most comprehensive of all models in standard form.

Some items are still optional, however, all being bundled into the SL Premium Package. This added LED headlights, a panoramic moonroof, forward collision warning, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and moving object detection.

Note that the SL is not available with the optional third-row seat, but the EZ-Flex second-row seat and Divide-N-Hide cargo system are. Kelley Blue Book currently suggests a fair purchase price of $17,154 for the 2015 Rogue SL. At under $900 more than an SV model, it’s a worthwhile upgrade as a used buy.

If Configured Correctly, the 2015 Nissan Rogue can Potentially be an Appealing Used Purchase

If you’re considering a 2015 Nissan Rogue as a used purchase, stretching your budget to snag a top-spec SL model is the way to go. On the used market, it represents the best value given the very minor value increase over a mid-spec SV, especially with the majority of important comfort features all standard. That said, an SV if configured correctly and priced right could still be a worthwhile purchase. The base Rogue S will likely feel too basic and dated for many, though.

The out of lane warning on this vRogue SV is possibly my favorite feature.
The 2015 Nissan rogue sv has everything that I need in a vehicle. It is a very sharp car. The rogue has all wheel drive and gets me where I need to go in all kinds of weather. The interior is very roomy. The over 6 feet tall guys in my life have no problems whatsoever as there is ample leg and head room. The rogue averages 27 miles per gallon and has excellent power. This vehicle has a camera that not only shows when in reverse it also allows me to check my surroundings before getting out of the car which is very comforting. The vehicle is equipped with an alarm if I were to drift out of my lane. This vehicle is also equipped with a blind spot warning. The safety features on this 2015 Nissan rogue are second to none in my opinion even when comparing to the much more expensive SUV type vehicles. I feel as if I made the right choice when I decided on this vehicle. This is the first Nissan product that I have owned and I am very pleased with all the features of this vehicle, including the price, which I felt was very reasonable.

Great drive and comfort !
Problems - Transmission Issues. Incorrect Fuel Gauge. Canister Purge Valve. Engine Noise at Startup. Performance - It has adequate acceleration in most situations, but it struggles to get up to highway and passing speeds. Reliability - Rogue comes with Average predictable reliability. Comfort - Good (3.5/5) Features - Every 2015 Nissan Rogue comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 170 hp and 175 pound-feet of torque. A CVT is standard, as is front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional. In Edmunds testing, a Rogue SL AWD hit 60 mph in 9.0 seconds.

2015 Nissan rogue sv FWD.
Absolutely spectacular vehicle but lacks storage capacity. It drives well, handles all turns sharply! I also love the fact that it has sport mode. I have not had to use sport mode much but it is always nice to know that if I need more power it can happen with the press of a button. Also, the sunroof is a great touch and my kids love to look at the stars while riding in the back seat. In addition, the headlights are not too bright so you may need to get someone to install led headlights to ensure maximum visibility.

Comfy ride, great mileage, nice design
We have a 2015 Rogue sl and we love it. It has a wonderful ride, great in the snow, outstanding gas mileage both highway and local. Not a big fan of the navigation. The camera system is very helpful. The sound system is ok. We added a light weight tow hitch for bicycles and cargo hauler. At 58,000 miles we had an oil leak from the axle seal on the transfer case. It randomly dumped a bunch of oil into our new driveway. Luckily we were just under warranty by 2,000 miles and the Nissan dealer was able to repair it.

Nissan Rogue sv compact SUV review.
I really love this car!! Got the third row option which is really convenient for a compact SUV. There when I need it. Gone when I do not. The Rogue is extremely roomy considering its size and the gas mileage is some of the best I have seen. With a smaller engine(4 cyl) i'll be honest, I was worried about performance. I was wrong. This thing will get down if you get in the gas pedal. Needless to say, this vehicle delivers on power, performance, and practicality. All around win for my family and our lifestyle.

Nissan rogue sv is comfortable, reliable and gets great mileage for it is size.
My Nissan rogue runs well, gets good mileage. My only complaint is that it is a 4 cylinder so it does not move as fast if you need to get out of the way of something quick. It's very comfortable inside and there is tons of trunk space. The back seat sits a bit higher than the front seat which is nice for the kids so they can see over the dash from the back. I really do love my car. I will likely replace it with a newer model in the next year or two.

2015 Nissan Rogue sl, every riders dream!
This vehicle is amazing. The tan leather interior compliments the black trim. The eco feature helps with gas mileage and the navigation system is a life saver. It is a mid-size SUV which means its perfect for a small family and even a pet. The trunk offers great storage space and the Bose sound system takes the listening experience to a whole other level. The panoramic sunroof makes backseat riders feel just as important as the passenger.

2015 Nissan rogue sl in pearl white, the best color to choose for this vehicle!
I love the amount of space I have with my car. I have two kids and still have room for my stroller, and the kids stuff and if I really need to I can for a third person in the back with them. The seat warmers are great for the winter months and the car heats up pretty quick. Mine is a 2015 model so I do not have the side mirror sensors for cars like the newer versions have, which I wish I had!

Nissan Rogue S: Great family car!
The Nissan Rogue S is a great midsize car. Gas mileage is hard to beat and it is spacious enough to transport my whole family, including our two dogs! It is easy to drive, however we have a v4, and compared to other vehicles I've owned it does not have great pick up. If you are starting a family and are on a bit of a budget it is a great car!

2015 Nissan rogue sl 4 wheel drive.
Love this car. Great look, and I have a lot confidence in it. I have never had an issue. The panoramic sunroof is a nice bonus, and I love the four wheel drive. I only wish it had apple carplay, but it is a 2015, so I understand. Blind spot monitoring and lane departure warnings are both really nice. Seems to get good gas mileage.

My favorite part about my rogue sl is the many dashboard features it contains.
My Nissan rogue sl runs so smooth. I have had no problems with the car. Every service to the vehicle is done locally and quick which is very convenient. This car is dependable, and is a very nice starter car. There are many features that help me on the road and with the servicing of my car. It is very easy to clean and keep up.

2015 Nissan rogue sl review.
I like the interior design. I like the panoramic sunroof, the navigation system, the heated seats. I do not like that the stereo system and navigation sometimes stops working. The driver's seat sometimes shifts when braking, it makes me nervous when it does that. I like the roof rack and the overall stylish look of the vehicle.

5 year old Nissan rogue sl.
Vehicle has performed flawlessly since I purchased it. Keep oil & filter changed along with air and cabin filter. Hwy mpg always over 30 mpg, city runs 25 mpg. Sunroof remains leak free and operational just like it is new. All other features operate as designed. One drawback is vehicle can only tow 1102 lbs.

Amazing fuel-economy and exceptional comfort - Nissan Rogue SL
Overall, my Nissan Rogue sl is a smooth ride but still feels safe to me while I drive it. I love the features and trim that come with the sl. I am the second owner of the vehicle and there have been no major issues. The fuel efficiency is the best part of the car for being a mid-size SUV.

2015 Nissan rogue s review.
It is spacious for a mid-size SUV. I like how the back seat is elevated (I believe it is called stadium seating) a little and you can semi recline the back seats as well. There is a bunch of cargo room as well. I have had no mechanical issues with my car and I have had it over 5 years.

Rogue sl model great vehicle.
Great gas mileage. Easy maintenance. The heated seats work great. Has a slight hesitation on the Bluetooth connection. Other than that the vehicle is great. The liftgate is quick and the trunk space is massive. The backseat lays down all the way. You can also adjust the back seats.

Good features and drives no problem.
Awesome SUV with good features and handling. Drives good and never had any issues with the car. Drives really good and has good mileage. Has Bluetooth and other good accessories that comes with the Nissan rogue sv. I recommend the car for Nissan car buyers out there.

2015 Nissan rogue sl, great value for a decent price.
My favorite feature about the Nissan rogue is the surround view cameras and lane departure warnings. The heated seats are nice as well. The one thing I could do without it the panoramic sunroof, I do not use it often and it makes a horrible squeaking noise.

Things to love about the Nissan rogue sv.
It rides great. Love the color exterior and interior. The seats are comfortable and the colors are great. The mileage is great for the gas. The back seats fold down for more trunk space. The different ways to style the trunk is a great quality as well.

2015 Nissan Rogue SL Awd.
I love my Nissan rogue, it is fully equipped and very comfortable and reliable. It has AWD which I love.
