2015 Silverado LT Z71 is the Best Trim, Striking a Balance Between Feature-rich and Usefulness

When it comes to the 2015 Silverado, you’ve certainly got a lot of options. The higher trims are a bit overkill unless you’re specifically looking for extra luxury. The lower trims are a bit underwhelming, however. For that reason, we recommend you grab the LT Z71 with the optional 5.3-liter V8.

With this setup, you get plenty of power and loads of valuable features. If Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a locking differential, cruise control, tow package, and 11,200 pounds towing capacity don’t do the trick for you, you might need a lot more truck than Silverado 1500 has to offer.

I love my Chevy Silverado z71! And I love having all the bells and whistles!
It has all the bells and whistles, absolute favorite feature is the heated steering wheel in the winter time. I have not had any issues with my truck, it runs perfectly. The seats in the crew cab flip up making it very convenient to haul groceries, or larger items that I do not want to put in the bed of the truck. There is an extra step in the rear bumper to help get into the bed of the truck. In the summer I switch to two wheel drive to help improve my gas mileage, in winter I switch back to on-demand 4WD. It also has two memory settings for the driver's seat, making it convenient for two driver's to automatically move to their preferences, a huge plus since I am shorter and need to raise the height of the seat, my boyfriend says it is like getting into a clown car, so he can hit his setting and make it easy for him to get into the truck.

Transmission THE SHAKE
2015 Chevy Silverado LTZ I absolutely love the way it rides, but have had nothing but one issue after another. Started 3 weeks in to owning it. Came out with a cart full of groceries and it wouldn't start. Had to have it towed in. Needed a brand new brain basically for all the electronics. Then at about 4000 miles it began the hard shifting. About 40000 miles it began doing a shake always between 42-60 miles per hour. Now let me tell you I always maintenance my try to the tee. Any time there is an issue I take it to the same dealership and service advisor. They have told me anything and everything and I always let them fix it and pay for it. But nothing fixes what I call the shake. But after reading these reports I now know my problem and it is exactly what I've been telling them for over 6 months. The transmission. Thank you

Why the 2015 Chevy Silverado is the best option.
The 2015 Silverado is available in three body styles (regular cab, double cab, and crew cab), three bed lengths, and five trim levels: wt, ls, lt, ltz, and high country. Most shoppers will want to skip the base model Silverado wt (work truck), since it has few standard features. The wt trim comes equipped with a 4.2-inch display, a USB port, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and vinyl upholstery. The ls and lt trims are a better starting point. The Silverado ls adds satellite radio, a CD player, Bluetooth, OnStar telematics, a Wi-Fi hotspot, keyless entry, and cloth upholstery. The lt trim adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a spring-assisted tailgate, and alloy wheels.

2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 lt z71 review.
I love my Silverado, the truck rides like a Cadillac with or without a load in the bed. The power from the engine is responsive and has sufficient power to tackle everyday demands that a truck owner may have. The fuel economy seems to have increased significantly in newer models which I wish that technology was present in mine, by 18 mpg on average is not too bad. I have had several recalls on the truck, but all have been identified by my dealer and fixed at no cost. Overall I love the look and function of the truck inside and out. You once this one has seen its ends I will definitely buy another one just like it.

All around best vehicle I have ever owned.
I have owned my Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ltz since April 2017. It has been an extremely reliable all around working truck. Put in a 4” body lift after purchasing, running 35’s in good weather. Used as a plow truck, farm truck, even took her mudding a few times. New update exhaust system, made some engine modifications, added steps, and working gauges, because I like to really know what is happening with my truck at all times. She’s been a fun truck to own.

Lt review based on performance.
Good vehicle. Never really had any major issues. Just a battery every couple of years. All around great truck with all of the essentials. If you're looking for a basic truck that has everything you need performance wise the lt is the way to go. If luxury is your preference you would likely be better off with the ltz trim package or higher.

Silverado ltz is a tremendous truck.
The Silverado is a great truck. The ltz package is by far a great choice. The leather interior is easy to clean and very comfortable. The heated and cooled seats are awesome! Not to mention the display is very crisp and the navigation system is accurate and easy to use. Overall, a great truck and I will buy another in the future!

The only thing wrong with 2015 Chevy LT
The thing I don't like about the 2015 Chevy truck is it doesn't have maps in the software or can't start lock/unlock the truck with my Chevy app on phone. Also the 4 cylinder function needs to be adjusted it kicks out of 4 cylinder too easy trying to maintain 60 +miles per hour or it needs to have a bigger engine

This truck drives smooth and has a great speaker system with tons of room inside.
The Chevrolet Silverado high country is great but needs new tires. The driver assist system switches from vibrate to a loud buzzer often but always works. It is very spacious inside and easy to drive. Bose Bluetooth speakers are great as well. I really like the truck but need a better tire selection for safety.

Silverado 1500 Ltz is amazing
Truck drives very smooth and has a lot of room inside. I have to kids and works great and is safe. Only thing I don't like was there was a lot of recalls. The 2015 model is my favorite body style also. I recommend this truck. The back window also opens which is nice to have in the summer.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado lt.
Great reliability. 4wd works every time and never get stuck. Great gas mileage. The Bluetooth radio and touchscreen radio is very nice. Love all the features of it. Center console is very roomy and nice. Easy to fold seats in the back of the cab. Great truck for all around use.

Lt 2015 Silverado 4 door 4x4.
It has issues with fuel with ethanol. I also wish it had more features like heated seats. The fact they offer a lt2 package now is interesting. I love the truck and would buy it again but I think my payment is too high for something that has depreciated as fast as it has.
accountCircle Billy S on July 21, 2021
All star package, Bluetooth, black out package, LT2 equipment package,
4 door crew cab. Has v8 engine, 4x4. Remote start, all star package, LT2 package, blackout edition, it is a very comfortable truck. It is great on gas 20.5 mpg. Has auto 4x4. Great sound system, navigation. Has no problem going up hills or towing up hills. Power adjuster

Awesome Chevy pickup high country.
Super reliable and comfortable. Easily the best truck I have ever owned. I have the high country edition and it gives me superior interior quality without compromising its ruggedness. I love the brown leather seats and ac seats features. I only wish I have a sunroof.

My midnight edition Chevy
I love the speed, safety quality and the look of my truck. The amenities the Ltz trim come with gives it that extra look that makes the truck look tuff. I have the midnight edition and I love it because is all blacked out and the interior is pure leather

2015 Chevy Silverado Work Truck
The 2015 Chevy Silverado is a great work truck. It has ample room inside the cab as well as a large bed. The truck is very comfortable to drive. It is also very basic. There is no way to connect your phone to the truck which is kind of an inconvenience.

Chevy Silverado 1500 high country, handles great in all types of terrain.
I love my 2015 Chevy Silverado, high country. No major problems. Drives nice, feels more like an SUV feel, rather than a big truck. Excellent features. Beautiful interior. Have kept up with the servicing, it is got 110,000 miles now, rides like a dream.

Fully loaded Z71 LTZ Silverado
I love my Silverado, it not only suits my work needs but also my recreational needs, I have had no substantial issues or problems with my Silverado.
accountCircle RICHARD S on October 16, 2021
High quality, good on gas, quiet, reliable, and safe.
I love my Silverado 1500. My only wish would be that I would have purchased the ZLT model. I have the z71 model but I don't do too much off roading.
