2020 Dodge Challenger

There’s nothing quite like the 2020 Dodge Challenger. A true sports vehicle, packed with a performance engine and a killer exterior body style, it’s likely that this car is on your radar if you are looking for fast and powerful. What about the SXT trim?

What does the 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT have to offer?

The 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT has plenty to offer, including a 3.6-L V6 gas engine and room for five. This rear-wheel-drive vehicle comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, though you can upgrade to the 19-inch variants. Ample tech, a title-and-telescoping steering wheel, and super smooth cruise control help this vehicle stand out.

When it comes to finding the vehicle that is right for you, the 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT is a contender for most drivers looking for speed and performance. As the base model, it has a long way to go, but let’s break down what you can expect here. Check out this car’s Vehicle History for more insights.

Check Out the 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT

The 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT is the base model for the 2020 lineup from this well-loved brand. As the base trim option, it doesn’t offer everything. However, with a starting price of $28,095, it definitely has some key features that help make it stand out. The 2020 Dodge Challenger also includes the GT, R/T, the R/T Scat Pack, and the SRT Hellcat, with prices hitting $41,490 for the top-end model.

What makes the 2020 Challenger SXT stand out? Check out this video that breaks down its specs.

The vehicle is a two-door coupe featuring rear-wheel driver as standard with available all-wheel drive on the STX trim. This vehicle has a solid engine with a 3.6-L V6 engine under the hood. It gets an impressive 303 horsepower and 268 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s not as good as the other engine options on the other trim packages.

By comparison, the Hemi 5.7-L V-8 engine is far more impressive to thrill-seekers. It gets 375 horsepower. Or, those really wanting power can easily appreciate the 6.4-L V8 engine with 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. The good news? You can upgrade the SXT engine to these bigger and higher performing engines if you decide to do so with the other trim models.

The SXT is a solid competitor against the trim models for both the Chevy Camaro and the Ford Mustang.

Check Out the Tech

The Challenger SXT does provide drivers with a lot of tech, even for a trim model. That includes the Uconnect 4 with a 7-inch touchscreen that’s bright and easy to use. This touchscreen comes preloaded with Apple CarPlay Support and Android Auto Integration. It offers keyless Enter n’ Go, something any Challenger driver should expect. It also supports Bluetooth devices with ease. It comes with an HD radio, hard disk drive media storage, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, again, not bad for a performance trim model.

When it comes to that 3.6-L engine, the EPA estimates on it are not that bad for a vehicle that’s designed for sports performance. It gets 19 city and 30 highway, for a combined 23 miles per gallon. That is the most efficient trim model, of course.

Also onboard are a suite of features to make driving easy to do. That includes a ParkView Rearview Back Up Camera. The navigation system is optional, which is a bit of a disappointment for most of today’s drivers. However, you do have other features, including ABS, tire pressure monitor, brake assist, stability control, and traction control, as standard features.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 5-star rating for safety for this car is good, but there are some key safety limitations in the front star rating, especially with the front passenger and driver side. Of course, if you’re looking for power and performance, safety is probably not the biggest priority. Yet, the 2020 Challenger SXT could do better, especially at this price point.

Want to upgrade? You can do that with the rear parking aid, cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitor. However, if you’re looking for features such as night vision, lane departure warning, or lane-keeping assist, those are not available until you upgrade from the trim model.

Want More Features?

They’re available.

There are a few key additional packages you can add to the 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT. That includes the Alpine Audio Group with subwoofer package – if you want music on the road with you. You could also go with the Blacktop Package, which adds some pretty sleek features, including a nearly all-black body and trim.

The cold weather group provides some important updates like a heated steering wheel and a 180-amp alternator. The driver convenience group also adds all of those additional safety features mentioned earlier.

When it comes down to it, the 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT trim is a good option for those who want a flashy sports car but are OK with some lower-end features.

Remember: If you don’t like it, you can always upgrade pretty easily with several other trim options. Check out each car’s Vehicle History today.

2020 Dodge Challenger SXT Uconnect system is great with hands talk to command.
Absolutely love it, great performance, excellent portions, basic models have everything that you need. And goes quick enough 0 to 60 in about 6.7 seconds so fast enough for me, new colors are awesome. Comes with a 7.4 in digital – display with the uconnect system that helps you drive and do handless talk and text with the rear view mirror driver assist helps out a lot. Not one problem that I had since I have had it which has ended very long but I got the frostbite blue color which is a new color for this year and everybody comments on how nice it is it is an excellent blue color.

2020 dodge challenger sxt.
The 2020 dodge challenger is not only a comfortable and high tech, yet affordable car, but it also performs like a sports car without having the setbacks that a high performance car can include. I have had some trouble with the technically features of the car malfunctioning, like the Bluetooth connection, but a quick trip to the dealership was all it took to get things working smoothly. The challenger is the perfect car for me, as it offers me the best quality for a reasonable price. It is reliable and has many features to offer such as CarPlay and dual temperature controls.

Retro look meets modern day. 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT.
This was my dream car since 2008 when it was re released. The fact that they kept the vintage classic look of the old challenger is what makes this car stand out. It performs like a baby muscle car because I have the sxt! Super comfortable and very reliable. It is great on gas, and the touchscreen features are plenty. It comes with apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and navigation. I have it in gomango and have modified the windows to make it look sleek. I love this car!

2020 Dodge Challenger SXT: the car that makes you popular guaranteed.
I have recently bought a dodge challenger and I have really enjoyed it. The challenger is a smooth ride and even though it is smaller it is a wide car and you do not feel trapped. The only downside is that I didn't wait to get one with leather. But other than that it has been nothing but a great experience.

2020 Dodge Challenger! Great vehicle, stylish and reliable!
Great car, very roomy. The car is very stylish and modern, inexpensive to maintain, and a complete head turner. This car looks great in any color or body type. This car is good for a single person or even a family. Once you test drive it, you’ll fall completely in love with this vehicle. It is amazing!

2020 Dodge Challenger SXT is a beautiful blue, looks mean, looks good.
Had a fuel injector go out after < 1,000 miles. Beautiful color, quick. Needs a deeper sound to the exhaust. The car is a dream car for my wife. Ready for the fuel injector to be fixed, it has been out for over 1 week. I was told to drive it as it was, it wouldn’t damage the car.

I love the 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT zero to 60 odometer they have. Love the overall gas mileage so far.
I just do not like the seats or how the rain sprays through the window when its barely sprinkling. I wish there was an automatic power on the passenger seat as well. Overall driving has been great at this point but I am only at 4,000 miles so time will tell.
