Whether you’re looking for a rock crawler or mall crawler, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara deserves a place on your shopping list. Sure, this trim comes only with four doors, but you’ll still get the same trail-capable hardware and removable panels that make the Wrangler fun to drive and own.

What else makes the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara trim stand out from the rest?

Here’s a quick list of features you’ll get:

  • Body-color fender flares
  • Available full-time 4WD system
  • Available leather-trimmed seats
  • Available navigation with 8.4-inch touch screen

Let’s dive straight into the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara courtesy of a YouTube video review from Raiti’s Rides. We’ll go into detail about the many features you’ll get on the Sahara trim, as well as how it performs both on- and off-road.

Going the Distance with the Sahara

As the old saying goes, a picture – or in this case, a 17-minute video review – says a thousand words. If you’re not able to take one on a test drive yourself, here’s your opportunity for a close-up of an iconic off-roader.

The video review starts with a walkaround of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Notice the brightwork surrounding the LED headlights (standard for the Sahara) and the iconic seven-slat Jeep grille, plus the satin silver surround on the foglight/vent area. That’s how you can tell the Sahara apart from lesser trims.

The details don’t end there. You also get body-color fender flares with flat black trim. And because this is a vehicle meant for trail-blazing and rock climbing, a set of 18-inch aluminum wheels shod with your choice of beefy 255/70R18 all-season or all-terrain tires is also included.

A quick note about those 18-inch wheels: You can have them in either a gorgeous 5-spoke variant with gray inserts or a 7-spoke polished face variant with the inner area finished in Jeep’s Tech Gray color.

Like other Wrangler trims, the Sahara can be had with several hard top and soft top options. The example in the video review comes with the Sky One-Touch™ power soft top, which is nice if you want sunshine at just the press of a button.

By now you want to know what’s under the hood of this automotive legend. Fortunately, the Sahara comes standard with the proven 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine. You’ll get 285 hp and 295 lb-ft., which is plenty of power and torque to get the 4,331-pound Wrangler moving.

In fact, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara easily sprints from 0 to 60 in just 6.1 seconds. Don’t believe us?

See for yourself at 13:30 as the reviewer gives the rugged SUV the full beans. Trailer-towing is also effortless thanks to the Sahara’s power and 3,500-pound tow rating.

If you’re a fan of manuals, you’ll definitely love the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara’s standard 6-speed manual transmission. An 8-speed automatic transmission is also available if you don’t want to constantly work your left leg in stop-and-go traffic.

Moving inside, the Sahara features cloth seats with manual controls and the embroidered Sahara logo. If that doesn’t satisfy you, there’s always optional leather seating. Elsewhere you’ll find leather trim on the doors and center armrest.

Not only can you adjust the dual-zone climate control system from the 8.4-inch touch screen display, but you also have dedicated controls below the screen. Perfect for preventing those distracted driving moments when you want to change temperatures.

Another feature that stands out on the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara is the available Selec-Trac® 4×4 system. This full-time 4WD unit is what gives the Sahara its Trail Rated® capability.

Around back, you’ll get 31 cu-ft of cargo space with the 60/40-split folding seats upright. A large subwoofer also takes up residence in the cargo area if you purchase a Sahara with the optional Alpine premium audio system.

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara ultimately comes in at a $38,645 MSRP, which isn’t too bad for an off-roading machine that combines its capability with plenty of nice features.
